JC Huffman Cabinetry

I would not recommend this outfit to anybody. My cabinets came without any screws for my cabinet guy to put them in. They miss measured my cabinet space. Between the last board in the countertop, there is a 2 inch gap. they promised to come, and they never come. they don’t keep their word. I wanted to buy a door from them and they kept telling me they were going to come and measure for it and said that three times and three weeks later they came. Very poor. I would never hire them again for anything.

Very disappointed with customer service. We ordered 2 custom cabinets. Teresa was clear it was going to take around 8 weeks even though it was a small order. Not a problem. We live an hour out of town but I was happy to give business to a family owned operation. Around the 8 week mark we got the call that the cabinets where done. After picking up the cabinets and getting all the way home we realized the doors where not edged. I called and spoke with Jim who said he did not get the email with the pictures of the edging on the doors. I forwarded Jim the email that was given to Teresa and within that email you could see Teresa's response back to me that she had received it. Why Jim did not have this email from Teresa is on there communication end not mine. Teresa had everything she needed from me to do the cabinets. Jim said it would only take him about 20 minutes to finish the cabinet doors . I said okay it wouldn't be until the following week that I could make the trip back there for him to finish the cabinet doors. Jim never offering an apology nor any kind of reimbursement for my time and cost of having to go back to his shop for him to finish the job in which he was already paid in full for. I told Jim I thought it was appropriate for him to give some money back for my cost of having to drive an hour one way to get the doors fixed and that the error of not being done right in the first place was not on my end but his end. Jim's response was that he was going to be down my way in 2 to 3 weeks he could pick up the doors then and we could figure out later how I was going to get them back. Jim added maybe he would ship them. I let him know I did not want to wait another 2 to 3 weeks we need to get our cabinets up. Jim responded with "You can still get the cabinets up you don't need the doors on". Although true not the point! Still I let him know we did not want to wait that long, we already waited 2 months. Jim said fine bring them up and still no apology nor anything. The following week I made the trip with the cabinet doors. I was greeted by Chasity who also offered no apology. The cabinet doors where dropped off about 30 minutes later I was back to pick them up. When I returned Jim let me know that some "mild" sanding would need to be done on the doors and off he went. Really! WoW! So you don't finish the doors the first time and yet the second time the doors now need to be sanded and that's on us! Being in business for over 30 years you would think there would be better costumer service then this! Everyone makes mistakes but still upsetting and disappointing when we ran into an issue and this is how they dealt with it. We can travel back on our dime and time for your mess up, with no apologies and then for the doors being returned back to us with now needing to be sanded. Maybe because we had a small order they did not value our business I don't know. It comes down to the principal, you make a mistake, you apologize and you make it right.

JC Huffman Cabinets did our entire kitchen design and remodel. We thought it would be impossible since we lived 8 hours away during design and remodel. But Teresa and Jim did a wonderful job for us in taking care of all the details. We greatly appreciated the quality of cabinets and appliances they helped us pick out and install. We absolutely love it! It's not only beautiful but really functional. I might add that our Big Stone Fireplace in the living room is gorgeous, and we love out basement fireplace stove as well. Huffman's did it all. They are the Best.

45 years of experience in painting and decorating has exposed me to an abundance of designers and contractors, both good and bad. Being good at what you do does not always include having the ability to work well with customers and sub-contractors. Theresa, Jim and Chasity are highly skilled in every aspect of their business as well as being knowledgeable, calm, warm hearted people. They deserve more than 5 stars!

JC Huffman and their crew are amazing to work with. Very professional in all steps of building and designing our kitchen. Teresa designed our kitchen to be beautiful and functional. It fits our style so well. The cabinets are built with perfection in mind. The quality will last for many years. We get so many compliments from friends and family on our kitchen. People love the look and quality. We love that this kitchen meets everything we ever wanted in a kitchen.

First project we used JC Huffman Cabinetry on. I wish I would have found them sooner. Great professionals to work with on this custom cabinetry and custom match trim project. With their knowledge of woods and colors, they match 120 year old trim in style and in color. The cabinets are excellent quality, all wood faces and wood plywood cabinets. I will be using them again.

I visited the JC Huffman showroom several times while in the planning stages of our new house. I researched other companies and it didn’t take long before I was certain that these were the people I wanted to work with. They have, or have access to the quality of products and materials I wanted in my home. Most importantly, the knowledge of all aspects of design and the craftsmanship of their creations are impeccable. There isn’t one room of my new home that doesn’t have something from this company, and some rooms scream JC Huffman because you can see their products literally everywhere you look. The outside of our home showcases more of the products that are available and displayed in the showroom. They have an incredible team. A special shout out to Chasity and J.D. for their expertise. We order custom mantels for our fireplace jobs from JC Huffman. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. Their high level of workmanship and quality make them our go to company for our customers.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Teresa, Jim, and their team did a fabulous job on my project. I am so glad I found Teresa! I was building a new home and overwhelmed with the amount of decisions and how I was going to bring my ideas to life. Teresa was so wonderful and insightful in helping me make decisions. Every detail was really well thought out, and I appreciated having a sounding board to create the best possible outcome for my project. With the stress of building, I cannot tell you how invaluable that was and what it meant to me to have someone like her along in my journey. That alone sets them apart from everywhere else, not to mention the craftsmanship and detail of the final product. They are passionate about what they do and really cared that I was happy with the final result. I cannot say enough great things about their business, and I highly recommend them to everyone I know.

We started a basement remodel due to water damage from a water heater. We decided to tile the floor, redo the kitchenette, bottom half of walls and the bathroom. When we started tear down of the kitchen, we discovered bare wiring. Needless to say, this required a teardown of all the walls, redoing all the downstairs wiring to ease my mind. What ensued was a rather lengthy delay in order to coordinate a much larger project. But JC Huffman were able to help with the coordination and get the project done. It was a long and difficult process for all involved, the Huffman's handled it all with significant help and understanding. They were able to help with designing and walked us through the entire process and stood by every step of the way. The designs that were decided on worked extremely well and we are beyond ecstatic with the product. We definitely would HIGHLY recommend them for just about any project. We have several more that we will be calling JC Huffman in on.

Our experience with JC Huffman was excellent! Both Jim and Teresa were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional from day-one to the end of our significant remodel project many weeks later. The Huffmans were great listeners, always hearing our thoughts and ideas while also willingly sharing their own. We're extremely happy with the quality of their products and materials, and with the entire finished product of our project. We couldn't be happier and wouldn't hesitate to use JC Huffman Cabinetry again.

In 2001-2002 we hired JC Huffman to build kitchen cabinets for our new house. We helped designed and they were able to use some elements of ours in the construction. We were very pleased at that time and also with the durability of the cabinets. When we decided to update we wanted to keep our original cabinets and design that we loved. Theresa and Jim helped us with ideas for granite countertops and we also purchased the line of Thor Kitchen appliances that we love. Still waiting to decide on backsplash. We think our "new" kitchen is beautiful and were very pleased with our experience with JC Huffman!
