We design as a team, with quality, function, comfort and longevity in mind and this philosophy carries over to our client service. Our projects aim to be enduring, timeless and ultimately satisfying our clients for a very long time, especially since the kitchen is one of the most important spaces of the home. We enjoy working with homeowners as well as the local design community, including interior designers, architects and builders to achieve the project vision and we offer full concierge service from concept to installation. Our owner, Cathleen Summers, comes from an extended, varied career in architecture, residential, retail and restaurant design and has a passion for anything culinary, so specializing in kitchen design is a very natural progression. We understand the functional and organizational needs in the kitchen, and love the problem solving of creating functional as well as beautiful spaces for our clients. And we often spill into other rooms in the home, designing living rooms, bathrooms, mudrooms, laundry rooms and more. We represent SieMatic (a German kitchen cabinetry brand) and can also provide custom cabinetry, furniture, and other customized features. Each project is unique and we listen to the client to determine the best way to accomplish their design and maintain overall project goals. We are also dealers for select appliance, fixture, faucet, and countertop manufacturers and clients like the idea of one stop shopping. We can provide installation as well as the materials and products. Summers Studio works on projects in Seattle, Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, Gig Harbor, as well as the greater Pacific Northwest areas including Eastern Washington, Portland, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, California and Hawaii. I worked with Summers Studio to build my dream kitchen, shown in their projects as First Hill Kitchen. Scope included more than Siematic cabinets: it required some light re-framing to rationalize soffits and overhangs. And Cathleen and team were a great resource for the entire project: recommending vendors, specialists, fixtures, appliances, and materials from several solid sources. Summers Studio operated with an owner's mindset: coming on site to help with materials selection, verifying and sorting the delivery of materials, and inspecting and advising installation several times throughout the process. Cathleen also brings a designer's attention to detail: anticipating, for example, a small detail of pattern matching for slabs that the (excellent) fabricators overlooked. Every large project will run into hiccups and ours did too. They responded very well: helping to shift the island layout to accommodate unexpected site conditions, rushing replacement of a part that had a manufacturing issue, offering several options for an appliance that didn't fit as spec-ed, and returning to advise months later about an issue with installation. I've installed full custom cabinetry and a US-based system cabinetry in other projects and, by far, SieMatic has been my favorite. Quality of the finishes and precision of build are far superior to alternatives. Interior accessories and thoughtful touches like dust seals and interior drawers can only be described as moments of joy. I was very sad to sell this kitchen when I needed more space.

When I decided on SieMatic for our home I had already visited many cabinet shops in the area. What helped make the final decision was the time spent and details offered in our very first meeting. The cabinets are gorgeous with features that I hadn’t seen with others. After we started the project there were many more meetings to assure that we on the same page as well as site visits with our contractor to offer install advice. I am grateful to say I don’t have any regrets in the decisions we made. It’s been several years and I still get compliments on the overall design and presentation. The whole crew at SieMatic were a pleasure to work with and I’d love to do another project down the road.

Summers Studios presented the SieMatic Kitchen portfolio to us at their offices in Seattle, We were able to see all the choices SieMatic offers as well ask the interior accessories offered by SieMatic through our visit to Summers Studios.The Multiple model Installations made for a practical view of our SieMatic choices. Cathleen Summers was an excellent listener when it cam to hearing and knowing our needs: culinary, kitchen flow, convenience and style. We were able to make decisions in real time, and in one visit. Summers Studios quickly presented design concepts and final designs that answered and complimented our interest in efficiency, functionality and design layout. Installation was efficiently accomplished by Summers Studios master Carpenters - Everything Fit!!! Everything worked!! My husband and I had business in the same building that Summers Studio is located and we would walk by and ogle the beautiful showroom. Every time we stopped in, the team was gracious and informative. When we decided it was time to change out our kitchen, there was no other choice but SieMatic and Summers Studio. The process was riddled with perfection and the zig and zags in the project were addressed with knowledge and when right, accommodated. The Design and Customer Service is impeccable and, despite multiple projects going on, they found a way to address any issues in a timely manner. Siematic was excellent Cathleen and Andrew were wonderful. They supported us in what we needed and were not pushy at all. We were able to get the kitchen that we wanted! I especially appreciated how they helped me have a beverage section as we drink a lot of teas, coffees and sparkling water. I would trust Cathleen and her team again for our project (I think a bathroom reno may be on the cards next year)

Cathleen worked with the architect to design the kitchen remodel for my 1972-era condo. The original kitchen was a typical galley kitchen of the time. My thought was to keep the galley since it seemed to work and was space efficient. Cathleen looked at the layout, immediately said, " I think your kitchen wants to do this, " and proceeded to sketch a new layout. Yes, indeed, my kitchen did need to change. The new design gave me much more counter space, opened up to the view, and dining area, and has an effecient work triangle for meal prep. We worked together to select the Siematic cabinets and fittings; the Siematic cabinetry is a marvel of good design and storage efficiency. As the interior designer said one day, "Your kitchen is a dream."

We remodeled our home in 2015/16 and decided to purchase a Siematic kitchen. This was for us one of the best decisions we made! Cathleen made it extremely easy for us with her knowledge about different materials and had a great sense of esthetic! Not just did our kitchen turn out exactly what we hoped for, it is the centerpiece in our new house. That's were we meet and that's where our guests meet and it's built to last. After almost 7 years of heavy use, the kitchen still looks new and we had two very minor incidents and either Cathleen or Anderson came out to fix it right away. What an AWESOME service! I can highly recommend Cathleen and Anderson to anyone looking for a quality, long lasting and beautiful looking kitchen. The functionality of a Siematic kitchen is outstanding!

Cathleen Summers and her staff provided excellent advice and service in the remodel of our kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and master bedroom. Considering the SieMatic cabinets were built in Stuttgard, Germany, and the installer came from England, we were amazed by the seamless process. We enjoy our SieMatic cabinets each day.
