Unprofessional. Zero initiative on communication and the sales person is an absolute liar. Requested my plans to be taken elsewhere and they are literally drawn by hand. Complete waste of time.

Bill Salazar was a pleasure to work with, highly recommend Back Yard Retreats. He was very professional and always responded when we had questions during the construction. The job never lagged, every one that showed up to do their part was pleasant and respectful. They started early and stayed busy all day. Back Yard Retreat tore down our existing patio cover, took out our existing 10x12 concrete slab and installed a new 22x18 concrete patio with a 18x12 cover complete with 1x6 tongue and grove ceiling, dimming lights, flood light, and they hung our outdoor ceiling fan. Even with a couple of rain days the project lasted 4 weeks. We picked the colors and they stained and painted everything, so it looks like it has been part of the house from the beginning. Plans for the cover were reviewed and sign by their engineer to meet Texas Windstorm criteria just in case we need to buy the insurance. Our Back Yard Retreat it is everything we wanted and we have recommend them to our neighbor. Absolutely a five-star company.

Mike Ritchie was our sales rep and did a really good job on communicating with us every step of the way. I would highly recommend Backyard Retreats and Mike Ritchie when looking for an outdoor patio.

Bill Salazar - co-owner of Backyard Retreats had completed a friends outdoor patio with kitchen a few years ago and we were very impressed. However at the time we were short of funds and hired another company. Old saying - You get what you paid for - and we sure did. What was left of the structure after the contractors abandoned the job, Bill and his crew took down and helped us with the repairs needed. That aside, Bill was outstanding to work with. On or off the job he responded to all my questions and very quickly. He even helped us with some ideas on the structure and he didn't hesitate to add things we wanted done in addition to the plan. All of his contractors were professional to - the roofer, the gutter guys, the patio brick layer, the wood workers, electricians and painters. The workers kept to their schedule even if weather was an issue. And what a beautiful job they did! It adds so much more beauty and comfort to the house and is a joy to live under the enclosure. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering this type of project because you will not be disappointed.

We recently had Backyard Retreats build us a covered patio extension and the final product is absolutely amazing. Bill Salazar and his son Tyler have fantastic customer service and were always willing to quickly answer our questions, and we had many. We have already recommended Backyard Retreats to our friends and coworkers and will continue to do so. We look forward to working with them in the future.

WOW!!!! I knew Bill Salazar at Backyard Retreats was my go to man for my back porch renovation. I have seen his work and knew he was who I wanted. I also trusted him and that makes a difference.
