Alternative Heat

Alternative Heat sold my elderly mother a gas fire log set and glass doors in December 2014, The control knob on the unit is a very poor design, and falls off all the time. I called to see if alternative could help, they said "call a plumber".

Recently had a fireplace installed within a unique setup. Alternate Heat provided excellent service with high quality expertise! Would highly recommend them

DJ (Alternative Heat) is the best, he has sold me a unit that I have had for almost 10 years and it still working great. I have moved twice and DJ (Alternative Heat) has moved the unit both times and installed it. With both moves the town inspector has suggested a specialist to inspect the fireplace, I told them both times that I would rather have DJ (Alternative Heat) inspect the fireplace, and later do the installation, once the inspector heard the name (Alternative Heat) they were happy and never questioned my choice. Price: excellent because does trough job that is clean and safe up to code) he always installs a stainless liner. Knowledge: clearly knows exactly what he is doing, outstanding installations clean Helpful: he is extremely helpful, he researches everything and really lets know what is best I highly recommend and I would nerve call anyone or trust anyone the way I trust DJ (Alternative Heat). If you need any type of Alternative heat, or you need a fire place serviced call DJ (Alternative Heat) you will not be disappointed. Honest, up front with price, and he does a complete job NO short cuts!

I didn't want to give Alt Heat 5 stars, but that was the highest I could go! Professional, knowledgeable, helpful - doesn't even begin to cover it. Just before Christmas, '17 they turned our 25 year old wood burning fireplace into gas burning. OMG, it's beautiful! No high pressure sales, just facts to educate the consumer. Once we made up our minds it was done in days!

Excellent professional, courteous and clean installation by DJ in half day, converting our wood burning fireplace to gas. He installed a gas fireplace insert. I handled getting necessary township permits, electrician and plumber. As expected, there were a few months from when I made initial inquiry to actual installation. I would use DJ again. Actually this was repeat business as he installed the original fireplace doors many years ago.

Recommended a wood burning stove and installed it, all with great follow up, communication and service. Excellent experience — would recommend to anyone.

I can't say enough positive things about DJ and Alternative Heat. This is the fifth stove they installed for me and I could not be more satisfied. My Vermont Casting's Intrepid II is perfect in every way and the installation and clean up was absolutely top shelf. I purchased 2 gas fireplaces from DJ and Kathy at Alternative Heat. I had issues with one of the units. DJ and Kathy made sure the manufacturer of the fireplace took care of the issue. They stayed in contact with me even after the issue was resolved to make certain all was good.
