Joe and the guys at Hudson Hardwood are on point. My project was long and difficult (full gut reno, plus third floor addition to a two story row). After many delays and problems, I just wanted the hardwood floor installation to go smoothly. During the initial consultation, Joe schooled me a bit on hardwood flooring, so that I could make an informed decision. Once we determined a scope of work that fit the parameters of my budget, I hired Joe to refinish the original first floor hardwood floors, and install new hardwood floors on the stairways and throughout the rest of the house. Joe repeatedly accommodated my delayed, ever changing schedule. Additionally, Joe was always available to communicate quickly. The quality of the work is excellent, and the work was completed quickly and ahead of schedule. The most impressive aspect of working with Joe: his experience allows him to proactively look at a project like mine from several angles, so that he can foresee and resolve potential issues/complications before they occur. Worth every penny. My floors look incredible, thanks Joe!

We first hired Joe Hudson and his team to refinish our floors in 2018 when we bought our first home, and they did an incredible job. When we bought our second home and peeled up laminate to discover hardwood floors, we knew there was only one person we trust to refinish them. Joe kept us updated throughout the process and answered all of our questions immediately. He’s personable and straightforward, and is an expert in his craft. If we ever move again, he’ll be our first call.

I had an excellent experience working with Hudson Hardwood. I had the hardwood floors in one bedroom and hallway redone. The floors look gorgeous and they were able to seamlessly repair some damage the prior owners left behind. I highly recommend working with Hudson Hardwood!

I really can't say enough good things about Joe, the quality of his work, and just how communicative he is. My husband and I wanted to refinish our hardwood floors on the ground level but needed a company that would help move our large furniture. We live in a modestly sized South Philly rowhome and don't have a garage where we can store things. From the jump, Joe impressed me. He assessed our situation and assured me he could handle the furniture. He talked through options for our floors. His knowledge and confidence sold me, not to mention he was just a nice guy. I had a gut feeling he would be great to work with, and so after he sent over the estimate, I signed on the dotted line. I have never worked with a more communicative contractor. I've undertaken home improvement projects before where I've had to actively manage the people we hired. What an absolute relief not to have to do that with Joe. While we were away while he and his crew worked, I knew I could count on daily updates, pictures, and videos. Joe does what he says he'll do, when he'll do it. On top of that, Joe found a way of magicking all of our furniture onto the second floor of our house, so that they didn't have to refinish the ground floor in phases, and effectively cut our schedule in half. We are back in our house today, with our gorgeous floors, on budget and in half the time. I will recommend Joe to ALL of my friends when they need their floors worked on. Truly an A+ craftsman and human.

Excellent communication and quality. I also appreciated that Joe worked with me on finding the best stain option given my budget and was always available to talk through different options and approaches to the work. I will definitely use him again.

Working with Joe and team was such a wonderful experience. I've been managing a home update for my mom who is moving across the country and it's always a major plus to have quality work done while also trusting who's doing it.
