“We had a wonderful experience working with Hanson General Contacting on a kitchen renovation. This was the biggest construction project we had ever undertaken and we couldn’t be happier with our new space. Our home was built in 1879, and has great character as well as challenges. HGC gutted our old kitchen and removed an exterior wall to extend the footprint. They took care to salvage existing materials, such as the original doors that were repurposed in the project. They matched the historic details, such as crown molding and trim, and they found bricks that matched the original facade. They sourced reclaimed wood to match the existing hardwood floors and beams for the extension to match the existing beams. Hanson guided us through with the right blend of soliciting our input, and advising us based on their experience and respect for our budget. We now have an amazing space where our whole family spends so much more time together.”

We had an issue with the floor and an issue with the plumbing and a few other issues that needed to be handled. I would have preferred better quality cabinets but since we needed so many to fill the space, we went with mid-range cabinets. They helped us make the manufactured cabinets more customizable. “I contracted with Conniff Construction in February 2015, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. As a result of a previous fraudulent contractor, I was left with a barely functioning bathroom in my home. Due to a mold issue, homeowners insurance granted us coverage for a bathroom repair. We didn't do our due diligence in selecting this original contractor (reading reviews, browsing the internet for credentials/past work, etc), and we suffered because of it. The previous contractor came in, ripped out all the walls and flooring, destroyed the plumbing, and ran off with the money - leaving us still with the mold problem and without a functioning bathroom. Conniff Construction came to the rescue and repaired our bathroom beautifully, and in a timely manner. Both Sean and John were extremely professional to work with, and had only their clients best interests in mind. They put our bathroom back together, including a custom tile floor job, reinstallment of sheetrock, rerouting of problematic plumbing, installation of new tub and removal of old tub, and most of all - rid us of the mold issue. Conniff Construction worked with us patiently while we went back and forth on design decisions. They installed all of the bathroom furniture, including vanity, mirror, and lighting. I felt extremely safe with having them work in my home alone, without supervision. They are safe and professional, and pose no risk from a safety or financial perspective. They are diligent and organized in their documentation, including their contract and estimates, and belong to multiple verified home owner's and builders associations in the state (as well as nationally). We felt very safe in their hands and we are confident we made the right decision in choosing them for our renovation. I would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for a renovation or new build in the future.”

This is a father and sons business and Mike Hazley Sr. believes keeping customers happy, even after they have completed the job, sets them apart from other contractors. He is right about that. They constructed a new addition for us that is handicap accessible (new sitting room, bathroom, dressing room and closet) and it is beautiful. They went the extra mile with so many things, like reinforced beams, extra insulation, etc. When we had a problem with the new toilet about 6 months after the renovation was completed, Mike's crew was here to solve the problem, which was a manufacturer's flaw. His workers were careful about heeling in bushes and other plants that I wanted to preserve which they had to dig up to pour a new foundation for the addition. They replanted them once construction was done and everything lived and is thriving. I could go on and on. My best recommendation is the number of times I have recommended Hazley Builders to friends, relatives and acquaintances.”
