Hanson carried out our home renovation project created by Ennis Nehez, which included opening up all drywalled stairways with iron railings, removing a living room wall & replacing it with open shelving, installing built-in wooden bookcases across a full living room wall, redesigning the master bedroom including storage installation, installing a custom-designed artwall mosaic in the stairway hall from the 1st to 3rd floor as well as many other smaller design & lighting installs. Brian Mudri was the project manager for the renovation. From the initial walk-through for the bidding process to pre-project planning and on through the actual work, Brian was extremely dedicated to making our visions become a reality. His forward-looking approach helped to troubleshoot design gaps before they could become an issue, his suggestions to include/exclude aspects from the original plans were always sensible/appropriate and he was extremely communicative with my wife & I on the work being done & the timeline. He was always extremely professional & able to critique ideas without being overbearing, and at the same time he was very personable & down to earth. During the Hanson project work, we had the unfortune of a couple additional house repair item sprout up. A 1st floor water leak delayed some aspects of the project, and created a need for a sliding glass door installation. And Hanson identified a master bath shower leak & sub-floor damage that warranted a full bathroom renovation. Hanson took care of both projects brilliantly, especially the new modern-look of the bathroom that was completed by Hanson's Michael Cosenza. Hanson's flexibility with these unexpected events was very much appreciated. And throughout the project, the day to day contractors who facilitated much of the general work (Kelsang & Dindu) were extremely professional & kind as well as obviously skilled based on the finished project. At the end of the project, my wife and I are extremely happy with the finished project. Hanson did an amazing job of bringing our project to life, giving our home our own personal touch of style, modern finish & comfort.

Brian Mudri was the project manager for a bathroom renovation. Brian was thoughtful, easy to talk to and very responsive to the concerns of my wife and myself. Brian is low key, not in your face, a pleasure to work with. A huge asset for Hanson. He made the project a success.

We were very happy with the services provided by Hanson. We hired them to update the entire outside of house: new roof, new paint, replacement carpentry, new lighting, new wiring, new porch steps and porch repair. Brian assembled a top-rated crew; they did a great job of preserving the details of the 100+ year old house, but modernized it at the same time. They worked within the allotted time schedule and within budget, which was great. We would definitely recommend them and will use them again.

I have worked with HGC on two different home projects. They introduced me to some fantastic architects *Rasmussen/Su)- together they helped me realize my vision in both cases. Attention to detail, commitment to getting it right no matter what, creative solutions when we ran into a design or construction difficulty, and maintenance of a pristine work site made them a pleasure to work with. We completed the last project 18 months ago, and they still routinely check in every 6 months or so to make sure we continue to be happy with the results. Hanson General Contracting helped me with several projects to get an 1820s Center City row house in shape for sale a few years ago. Brian Mudri and the HGC team were professional, expedient, and most importantly completely in tune with need to balance budget concerns, timing and aeesthetics. We were referred to Hanson by a wll known architectural firm for a difficult project, and we were very pleased with their work. The project was to rennovate a woman's bathroom at the Lantern Theater - located in an historic building in Center City. We had a tight budget, and the project had to be completed in a very short time period, before the beginning of the new season. Brian Mudri, the Hanson project manager, worked closely with the architect to bring in the project on time. As is often the case in older buildings, there were some surprises, and we had to make some changes in the design during the project due to materials not being available. Brian was creative and responsive in dealing with these challenges, and kept us informed every step of the way. I would strongly recommend Brian and Hanson.

HGC was truly great to work with. We did a full bathroom renovation. They patiently answered numerous questions and were very accommodating to my detailed requirements. Both project and site managers were dedicated to quality and were intent on making sure I was happy with the finished product. I highly recommend them and would gladly work with them again. One word of advice - this holds true for any construction project - work out the the details as much as possible before the work begins.

Chris provided the kind of service you can only dream of in a general contracting company. He brought to reality my dreams smoothly and seamlessly. Chris worked closely with the architect and delivered superb, precision work in the execution of the building and design plans. Also, I am very particular and fussy not only about the quality of work, but fastidious about tidiness and cleanliness and I have witnessed Chris actually personally cleaning up dust and debris from my wood floor after workers were done working in my laundry room, and this was after the workers were supposed to have cleaned up but did not do so to my standards. I have never had this kind of service before and it showed that the Hanson team sets out to not only get the job done but they get it done incredibly well! Chris and his team have also been able to solve stubborn leaks, electrical and plumbing problems -- he worked tirelessly and showed he is an impressively intelligent manager who problem shoots and solves with great initiative -- and succeeds! The Hanson team also worked on a shorter-term project for me and turned around a difficult task in less than a month -- they converted a dwelling that was in some disrepair -- the result in less than a month was a place that looked spotless and new and ready for occupancy. They turned an overgrown backyard with rotting wood and large overgrown foliage and debris into an enticing relaxing area in one day! HANSON General Contracting, Inc. provided me with extremely high-end work for both my large and small projects. Whatever the size of your job, you will receive nothing less than the best service and treatment from this team.

The company owner and project manager communicate thoughtfully and effectively as we undertake a complete gut - rehab of an historic property. They are sensitive to both the budget and preservation issues. They have introduced me to all the specialty craftsmen involved and I believe we have a skilled team working toward a well-defined goal.

As the owner of an old house, I have been faced with various challenges in home restoration. Fortunately, I discovered Hanson General Contracting (HGC), with whom I have come to develop a wonderful working relationship. While they continue to be highly recognized for large scale work, historic preservation, and for their efforts in sustainable building practices, those of us with smaller goals need not fret. It was neither practical, nor necessary, for me to gut an entire house and rebuild it in one sitting. So, project-by-project, they have helped me create my dream home over the course of the last 7 years. The owners and their team are knowledgeable, professional and accessible. The project team members are dedicated, hard-working, nice, and respectful of my home, and pet. In spite of the general disruption that renovations present, they are a tranquil group to have around. The subcontractors I have met through Hanson have all been very skilled and trustworthy. Projects are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
