We highly recommend Allen Construction. The team is professional, trustworthy, and highly skilled. We initially sought them out for a kitchen remodel based on their excellent reputation. They guided us through a very challenging unforeseen problem (having to redo our entire foundation) and did so while being mindful of costs without sacrificing quality. They had excellent ideas we never would have considered, or even known were options, that really elevated the project. We are so pleased with the final product and will absolutely be working with them again on future projects. They are incredibly easy to work with, and they really are the best at what they do!

I found Allen Construction on this website and am so thankful that I did. We hired their team to do a remodel in our Ojai home which primarily included the kitchen & bathrooms, along with a sound studio in the garage. They worked with us from start to finish and did an amazing job on everything, while dealing with a pandemic and massive shipping delays. Everyone that we met with on the job was an absolute pleasure to work with, and they kept our stress levels to a minimum. A huge thank you to everyone involved and I can't recommend them highly enough!

Our renovation was fairly complicated, and we were very discerning about the finish level and details. There was no detail too small for their team to focus on and get right, and the quality of their workmanship really shows. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Allen Construction is a wonderful custom home builder. My husband and I were lucky enough to find a lot with a view of the Channel Islands. Our architect drew up our dream home and we entrusted our plans to Allen based on the spectacular homes they've built in Santa Barbara and Ventura. Once we met with Eric and his team we were certain that they would deliver a high quality home and do their best to work within our budget. Allen did an outstanding job of completing our home on time and within budget. We could not be happier with the results. We were fortunate that Richard, our project manager, paid attention to details and kept our project moving. Now that we've moved in, Richard is still attending to any small detail that needs attention. Our new home is everything we'd hoped for and we are grateful to Allen Construction for their commitment to completing our project with integrity.

Allen is a great company to have on your side. They are very attentive to all the details and track them meticulously while at the same time sharing them with home owners. They will ask for your opinion on things and do not try to override your choices. If your choices are not doable, they will kindly let you know what else can be done for a workaround. Besides hiring and keeping long time super knowledgeable employees, they can and do make better suggestions than homeowners might not have considered. They bravely fought through the pandemic to build our house and never sent anyone to the site who had come in close contact with covid conditions. Perhaps the most important thing was the level of perfection to make what you wanted, and if not what you envisioned, they would change it for you. It should also be added that the friendly and hard working construction workers on the site were indispensable to success. My wife and daughter are outright pinpoint perfectionists and I am not far behind. Allen met and exceeded all expectations and now we have a dream home come true. I would give them 6 stars out of 5. We couldn't be happier with the quality of work and professionalism of the construction team from Allen Construction and the sub-contractors they brought onsite. Despite living in a different part of the state for most of the build, we were kept very involved with daily pictures and regular phone updates. Plenty of notice was provided for required decisions to ensure our project stayed on schedule, and the supervisor and project manager stayed in touch post-project to ensure everything worked just the way we needed it to. We feel very lucky to have such a beautiful home and such a positive experience of constructing it.

We recently moved into our new home built by Allen Construction and we couldn't be happier! Our home was a Thomas Fire rebuild. It was a completely custom build, requiring complex building methods, thoughtful decision making and exceptional management. Our Allen Team met and exceeded these requirements throughout the project! The communication and customer service from our Allen Team were both excellent. They always kept us informed of the process and schedule, and were available to answer questions right away. Our Allen Team was always very thorough in their explanations and answers to our questions, and they really listened to our needs. They were very personable and cared about our home as much as we did. Their professionalism was top notch, and their workmanship was superior. Everyone at Allen Construction is a pro and they are so very nice! We added a media room to our midcentury house and they were on top of it from day one. The work is top quality, all the people who came to the house were terrific, and the work was done on time! We can't say enough good things about Brett, Matt, Ian, Nancy, and all the rest of the folks at Allen.

. My wife and I moved to Montecito from the East Coast in December, 2017. We were in our new house for only eighteen days before it was significantly damaged in the Montecito mudslide. In a flash we went from our California dream to being homeless. We had planned to make some improvements to our new house and had hired a highly regarded architect prior to the mudslide. When I asked him for a builder recommendation his number one choice was Allen Construction. As of this month we are back in our rebuilt house which is significantly nicer than our original house thanks to the great team working on our project. It’s clear from reading other reviews that Allen is a skilled builder which I can confirm. What I am greatly thankful for is the support they provided getting my wife and I through this nightmare process. From assisting me in obtaining a fair settlement with my insurance provider to dealing with the building bureaucracy they had my back every step of the way. I highly recommend them, a great company with caring people.

Our Design Firm has worked with Allen Construction on multiple projects. They have a level of professionalism that is not seen very often in Construction. On top of that, they are easy to work with, knowledgeable about the industry and truly want the best for their clients. I never hesitate referring clients their way.
