Bob Stern Building Co. completed three distinct projects. Remodeled main floor bath room starting May, 2015, completed July, 2015. Remodel of lower level walk out basement starting August, 2015 thru November, 2015 and remodel of our first floor: kitchen, flooring, doors, trim, lighting, etc., starting April, 2016 thru July, 2016. Very knowledgeable in the home remodeling business. Worked diligently with us to pick out flooring, cabinets, lighting etc. Willing to work with us on special request after the fact. We stayed pretty close to budget. Ron Stern, Vice President, has excellent contractors working with him. Flooring, lighting, cabinetry technicians' were conscientious, pleasant, friendly and did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. Everyone of the workers had a great attitude including Ron.

We are very glad that we selected Ron Stern as our contractor. He rebuilt our master bath and powder from the studs out and did an excellent job. Ron (the son) is a delight to work with. He is honest, straight forward, tries to save you money on the project, extremely knowledgeable and very fair. He spent a great deal of time with me helping me make selections. I never felt rushed or pushed into something I didn't want. He has excellent taste and gives very good guidance in product selection. He shows up on time and his workers do a good job. Hired Bob Stern Building to renovate our upstairs bath. With the arrival of our new born quickly approaching, we wanted to make sure the bath would be completed in time. Working with Ron Stern, he was amazing to work with. His design ideas were extraordinary which we immediately fell in love with. He made sure that we were well informed, educated, and aware of the scheduling. Not to mention he was often at our home to supervise and make sure we were happy with the work. Bob Stern had done a home remodel for my in-laws many years ago, so when we decided to renovate our kitchen we got a quote from the company along with others. The company was competitive and was willing to work within our budget. Ron Stern lead the charge and was wonderful to work with. We had never done a major remodel before and weren't sure of the progression of steps, but Ron was very hands-on and with us every step of the way from the layout down to the hardware selection for the cabinets. As a family-run business, they're very focused on their clients' individual needs and we felt that we got a lot of personal attention. We're so happy with our new kitchen and I'd recommend Bob Stern Building Company (and Ron Stern) to anyone (and I have!).

We had a Master Bedroom built onto the back of our house. Ron, did a great job with all the specifications and making sure we maximized the space for each room. We used to have a 11x11 bedroom and now have a 15x14 Bedroom with a large walk-in closet and huge bathroom, double sink, large glass shower and private lavatory. The job was done in in its scheduled timeframe. I did get 3 other quotes of other Birmingham Contractors and nobody could beat the service and pricing. I would recommend Ron and Bob Stern to everyone looking to get more space, quality of construction and piece of mind knowing your going with a true leader and professional.

The renovation expanded the second floor bedroom of our bungalow into a master suite with 3/4 bath, significant increase of closet space, added linen closet and an office/work area. Also, the house's existing full bath was completely renovated. We received advice from blueprints to completion about what would best suit our needs. Supervision of the job and teams was excellent with a focus on detail and quality of work. When difficulties arose, they were addressed immediately and resolved to our satisfaction.

This was a complete remodel of a 25 year old kitchen, including removing the ceiling and raising it to 9 feet, all new cabinetry, granite countertops, redoing of floors. They did an absolutely fabulous job, cabinets of the highest quality, workmanship 5 star and all the tradesman were professional and great to work with. This company made a large project stress-free and enjoyable. I recommend them to anyone who appreciates quality work and expects perfection.

I used Ron Stern to design and build a custom wall unit for my family room. Ron and his team provided this unit to our expectations and with his recommendations gave us ideas we likely would have not considered. The quality of the cabinetry was excellent and timetable for this project were accurate. I am having them do my kitchen next.
