We built our home during a really turbulent time when COVID struck and material and labor costs were a constant challenge. We are so grateful that we chose Broyhill Wiles for their transparency and willingness to work as a team to overcome these external obstacles. They are a rarity in today's climate and unlike any other contractor I've worked with. They are a truly custom builder that forms a genuine relationship with their client and has the network and skills to bring your vision to life. We had some unique requests but they nailed it. We are in love with our forever home. You only get to build one "dream home" in this life, but if we ever built another, we would unequivocally choose Broyhill Wiles!

We hired Broyhill Wiles Design Build to design and build a timber frame home for us. We had never gone through the home-building process before, and we were highly-motivated to select the right partner for this project. John Barker was the Architect and Kent Wiles was our General Contractor. Throughout the process they were honest, communicative, professional, and well-organized. We are completely pleased with the results and enjoyed the process. We hope that life goes as planned and that we get to live in the house for many years! Everything was fully customized to our specific needs. Kent managed the timeline very well and gave us plenty of advance notice about when he needed decisions from us. For the entire project, we felt that we were in capable hands; at no point did we second-guess our decision to work with Broyhill Wiles. When we were unsure of something or wanted to learn more about a course of action, we received detailed answers in a timely manner. Kent was conscious of our budget and successfully delivered what we wanted within the budget. The subcontractors used were highly skilled and very hard workers. Kent is an incredibly talented design/builder, and completed an amazing 3,800 square foot addition to our house. He offers excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and most importantly, is a wonderful listener. Kent was great during the build, even taking those 10PM phone calls, where my wife and I may have decided to make a small change to the project. The work area was always kept clean, our budget was respected, and timing was well communicated. If you are looking for an honest and caring builder, Broyhill Wiles Design is the correct choice. We never had a concern about the project even though we were not local. We knew wanted a timber frame and yet we wanted "the not -so- big house." Kent was able to make that happen for us. Throughout the project, he was a great communicator.
