George Lewis built our home on Turtle Creek between July 2005 and May 2007. We found George to be reliable and committed to the project but more importantly handles himself with a great deal of integrity. George seamlessly worked well with other 3rd party consultants, including architects, landscape architects and the interior design team. George and his team were extremely knowledgeable and thorough. The finished product has been featured in four home magazines. George Lewis Homes stands behind their projects and has continued to be available in any post construction issues.

I had a wonderful experience working with the George Lewis Custom Homes Co. George did what he said he would do in a very timely way. Years later he still helps me with the maintenance of my home.

George Lewis's team has worked on my house for several years, starting with a major renovation and then smaller jobs, and sometimes just "problem solving" for me. He, and his sub-contractors, are lovely people for starters. Each is honest, dependable, dedicated to his craft, trustworthy, and almost all of them have become good friends.
George Lewis did a major renovation on my 1930's house. It involved repair and updating all major systems: plumbing, electrical, cable TV, internet, and phone systems, HVAC, support structures under the house, and new beams to support the second floor of the house. George's carpenters installed knotty pine paneling in the living room, which is a work of art.
All work performed was of the highest caliber. I recommend George Lewis frequently. He and his team run the business like a business. They show up on time, they do what they promise, and they do great work.

We hired George Lewis to build homes for us in 1983 and 2005. In both cases we ended up wih the houses we have enjoyed and which were well built. He knows homebuilding and offers good advice based on his years of experience.

To Whom It May Concern:
In 1983 we purchased the house at 6125 Westwick Road in University Park to be our home. We were told it was one of the oldest, if not the oldest, houses in University Park and it needed significant updating before we could move in. This house is a New England Cape Cod structure and we wanted to preserve the integrity of that look and architecture when we did our remodeling.
We had not had experience with a contractor that we wanted to use for this rather extensive project. A dear friend of ours, an outstanding interior designer, recommended George Lewis to us.
In the fall of 1983, we had an ice storm and very serious weather problems. George handled these adverse conditions and proceeded to complete the remodeling on schedule with limited problems. He preserved the historic integrity of our house and helped us emerge with a beautiful home which many people have told us is their favorite house in the Park Cities.
We were grateful for the work he did, but equally important to us, has been the last 20 years when George has been on call, for little, and sometimes large, projects that needed to be addressed. He has always responded quickly to fix what needed to be fixed. That meant rewiring the house as needed, putting on a new roof, adding a wonderful screened porch and a gazebo and correcting many small projects from the sprinkler system to the front porch lights. We have been able to count on him for prompt service, quality work, fair pricing and real friendship.
It is a genuine pleasure for us to recommend George Lewis to anyone interested in remodeling an older home or building a new home.

The nine month renovation touched almost all surfaces of the home, though we changed only one wall. When purchased, it was a "spec" home and after the renovation, the home was a beautiful, award-winning custom home.
George came in on budget and on time. I worked with a project manager who was a real asset, because he was a problem solver and had an eye for the aesthetic. When a difficulty arose, there was a pow wow including the involved professionals--architect, designer, project manager, me and George. The fun part was that "the challenge" usually turned into a better designed and built part of the home. I love serendipities!
George Lewis had photographs taken of my home and would probably be happy to provide them for you.

George Lewis built our home ten years ago. Once a customer always a customer. If I ever build again, I'll just give them the plans and tell him to call when I can pick up the keys. everything they do is done the right way. On the scale of one to five stars, George Lewis is a six.

Have enjoyed working with George's office on various renovation projects from an architectural design point of view and would recommend his general contracting skills and staff to those looking to either renovate or create a custom home within the DFW area. Their offices will take care of you from the moment you meet them to the time you move in and for years beyond.

Commented: what is the name of the floor tile? You might find a tile like that at "Patina" on Knox Street or American tile on Luna Road
