I was fortunate to have Heil Construction do my total home repairs after my tree fell on my home during an ice storm. The entire team was extremely friendly, extremely professional, and extremely knowledgeable in all of my renovations experience. The entire team took extreme pride in their work and left my home looking brand new. They kept me updated throughput the renovations so I would know what to expect. They even provided someone to help me choose my paint and flooring choices. Before leaving my project, they made sure to leave everything in order and even pressure washed my home and concrete areas. I could not be more pleased with Heil Construction and was blessed to have them as my renovations contractor. They were a godsend to me in my time of need. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They do quality work at a reasonable price. Their workers are very polite, reliable, do quality work and clean up at end of job. I have used them 3 times for remodeling both my bathrooms, my den and made several repairs I needed for my home.

Don is alway present on his jobs. He works with his crew directly. He is very meticulous with his work. He is concerned that his work is done correctly and right the first time. Highly recommend.

In May 2016, we hired Heil Construction to renovate our home. The renovation included completely redoing our bathrooms, repainting, installing new floors and removal of several outdated, overhead cabinets. The project was proceeding on schedule, when in August, our city experienced a once in a lifetime flood event. Two thirds of the city was flooded and our home had over a foot of water in it. Heil Construction didn't hesitate to contact us and a crew was at our home the day after the flood water receded. Our renovation project became a major home restoration project. After the flood, Don Heil went over every aspect of the things that were needed to repair our home. He gave us options, always telling us the cost and listening to our thoughts and desires. Don and his crew were here everyday, always working well together and following the job specifications to the letter. His cost projections were always fair and reasonable. He and his crew were very adaptable to any changes we asked to be done. Additionally, Susan Heil was most valuable in assisting in helping us select colors, types of flooring and other items. After the flood, we had to replace all of our appliances. As they arrived at the store we purchased them from, Don would send a truck to pick them up and have them installed. Nothing that we asked for or decided that we didn't need was a problem for Heil Construction. In conclusion, what began as a long overdue home renovation, morphed into a major home restoration due to the worst flood event in our city's history. My husband and I were blessed to have Heil Construction to rely on. We would not hesitate to use them again and have recommended them to others often. In fact, they completed another project for us in the summer of 2017

Don and his company are experienced professionals. They are honest. They care about their customers. If needed, they will also advocate for their customers. I am very picky about who I would use to do renovation, repairs or construction at my home. This is one of the very few companies that I can recommend. You will have peace of mind to know the job was done correctly.

I truly enjoyed working with Mr. Don, Mrs. Susan and crew on a major renovation of our master bathroom in our old home (built in 74). It involved a tear down to studs, moving plumbing and walls, installing an old wood window into an old exterior brick wall, cutting old mirrors and creating gorgeous trim all around them etc etc etc. A friend recommended Heil Construction after we mentioned our concern about trusting someone doing a tiled shower properly — waterproof. This friend said he had total confidence in Heil Construction after they had completed projects in his own home including a tiled shower. Before we decided on Heil Construction, Don throughly explained the construction of the shower- all the layers and the purpose of each etc, so that we fully understood it. He explained it all again to me as they constructed each layer. Don arrived early in the mornings and worked the entire time with the crew during that part of the process reassuring us all was well. I am certain that the tiled shower and the 3 marble mosaic walls surrounding the freestanding tub are totally waterproof, even against our 5 children and Great Dane puppy. Don is extremely punctual, but he was still patient with me, as was everyone else, when I knew what I wanted but had a hard time finding it. (Sometimes so hard, Mrs. Susan and I had to literally MAKE it happen.) I’m looking at you Kingston Brass vintage cross handle, wall mounted faucets in polished nickel. Oh and “blush paint that no one can say for sure is really blush” required a bit of patience too. And poor Susan must have looked at a gazillion floor tiles with me. Thx Susan! Slow Covid shipping may have “bought” me some time/patience, but I believe they were patient ;) Upon fruition it was more beautiful than I could have imagined, and I have a big imagination! I showed them that with my weekly CAD drawings. Lol. Mr. Don, Mrs. Susan, the carpenter, the painters, the plumber and the guy who cut the mirrors all genuinely agreed that it was beautiful. The attention they gave to the details I dreamt up just made it. I KNOW how much work it took, and it shows! Everyone was proud at the end and rightfully so. THANK YOU Heil Construction, LLC!

Several years ago, my husband and I decided it was past time to update our bathrooms. Don Heil was remodeling a house across the street from us at that time. After observing his work, we asked if he would be interested in helping is with our remodel project. Don and his wife Susan, and his crew of workers, are honest, dependable, professional, and did a wonderful job for us. In recent years we have become friends and I have called Don and Susan for help with projects on a number of occasions. No job is too large or too small. They are always willing to help when needed. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for help with a remodeling/construction project.

Don Heil is easy to work with, is a good communicator, and is dependable. He has done numerous jobs for us. The most recent job was flooring throughout the house and the renovation of a bathroom at our rental property. He replaced the moisture barrier throughout the house, added wood flooring and tile, and renovated a bathroom with new fixtures, tub, sink, cabinetry, lighting, and tile. Everything looks beautiful. The project was completed in a timely manner and the property was left clean.
