Ed was extremely knowledgeable and helped us out of a difficult situation with our Contractor. He has a very calming demeanor, excellent negotiation skills and is a master of his craft. I highly recommend Ed and Priority 1 as an expert in his field.

I recently did a full home renovation while living out of town, and hired Ed to represent me on site and provide updates on the progress. Ed helped monitor progress, coordinate with the GC and keep me in the loop on decisions that needed to be made to keep things moving. Ed uses a cloud-based project management tool for sharing photos and schedules, which helped keep everything in one place. The end result is a home I'm extremely happy about without having to manage everything firsthand. I'd highly recommend working with Ed for anyone doing something similar.

Ed saved us a considerable amount of time, money and stress by handling all of the details of our custom home construction project in Del Mar. Ed is a highly regarded Project Manager with over 30 years of experience—we considered ourselves very lucky to have had Ed as a part of our team. It was clear from the beginning he was looking out for our best interests as our advocate, representative, and eyes on the ground since we were out of town during much of the construction. In addition to all of the typical Project Manager responsibilities Ed went above and beyond in the following ways: he recommended an architect who was able to modify our plans and increase the square footage to meet our requirements, he negotiated with our neighbor to address easement issues, he worked with our bank to manage the construction loan draws and he provided us with updated budgets on a regular basis. I was introduced to Ed through my La Jolla Real Estate Board, of which he is a member. He was hired to manage the repair and reconstruction of a 2nd floor & 3rd floor deck repair in a 21 unit residential building in La Jolla. He created and coordinated a timeline with the contractors and architects and then communicated with the HOA and Board each step of the way. Mid way through the project the contractor ran into termites in the main beam, which altered the budget and gave us few options. Ed had the difficult job of having to communicate with the tenants in the unit affected they were going to need to vacate longer than they anticipated. Ed was able to take a sour situation and bring about a successful conclusion. The deck repair was completed on time, because of Ed's relationship with the contractor and Foreman. Everyone, including the HOA and Board members were very impressed with Ed's work ethic. If you are looking for someone who has the background in construction, the ability to stay organized, articulate and communicate on all levels, and stay present, you don't need to look any further. Ed and Priority One Projects handled all of the project administration and owners representation for a custom home that my company, Robert Dodds Construction, just recently completed. Ed and his staff did a terrific job of processing all of the documentation including every subcontract, monitoring insurance certificates and lien releases.
