We had a long list of projects for Morton to do. He was always there on the scheduled day and on time. His work and clean up is meticulous. He is also very knowledgable design which was very helpful for me in making decisions. Definitely will be using him for other projects.

We've worked with Morten on two projects now. We first found him while searching for a contractor to help us address an urgent kitchen remodel after our dishwasher suddenly flooded out our lower cabinets. Morten was so knowledgable and really guided us through all of the decisions and considerations we didn't know we were going to have to make. He helped us think about HOW we use our kitchen, given us a bunch of suggestions on functionality that may be helpful and also working through some ideas I had. He was a great partner. Even more so, the quality of his work is really fantastic. We got estimates from multiple contractors and chose Morten because his approach to building for our house (and not in some random factory) made us know we were getting quality. Our cabinets are so impressive and such high quality, we get compliments all of the time. He helped us with sliding shelves, magic corners, multi-purpose drawers and even hidden storage on the ends for our dog leashes! I love that he does the work himself and doesn't have a huge team of subcontractors. It's super clear he takes great pride in his work and it's reflected in my house now! We loved working with him so much we then asked him to do a guest suite remodel. I had a vision for the bathroom vanity for both storage and look and he executed it perfectly! He retro-fitted pocket doors for us and took out awful built-ins to make the bathroom beautiful, clean, and add some much needed space. He's easy to work with, gives great insight, has outstanding quality and ensures you love the final product. We'll be doing our primary bathroom/bedroom next year and will be using Morten for that too! I can't say enough about how happy we are.

We had Morten, the Viking Craftsman, complete a major renovation and we could not be more pleased! Our home suffered major damage throughout the first floor due to frozen pipes, so we decided to update everything. In addition to fully remodeling the master bath and bedroom, wet bar, family room, kitchen, entry way and guest bathrooms, he made several recommendations to improve and protect against future freezes. Our home is much lighter and brighter and we love the functionality of our new kitchen! We highly recommend using The Viking Craftsman!

I hired Morten in February 2022 to completely gut my kitchen and master bath. He also took down wood paneling and cabinets in my living room. He was fabulous. He spent time with me getting to know my needs and designed custom cabinets in both locations. For example, I said I need a proper place to store my blow dryer and other styling products. So he made a drawer with holders for the blow dryer and flat iron. Like a salon! He will listen to you and come up with a design to suit your needs and space. Morten was in my house nearly every day from Feb. to August and I trust him 100%. He is meticulous (trained as an electrical engineer and it shows in the care he takes measuring and ensuring, for example, that the shower pan will properly drain. Mine did not before.). He is neat and tidy as are the electrician and painter with whom he works. If you’re looking for a genuine craftsman who doesn’t deal in pre-fabricated materials and construction, you cannot go wrong with Morten. The 1st floor remodel of our home with The Viking Craftsman aka “Morton” exceeded our expectations! The quality of custom workmanship is exceptional. Clear communication of process, timelines and costs helped us break down our design, appliance and hardware decisions into logical, manageable pieces. We were particularly grateful for Morton’s calm demeanor, flexibility and expertise in kitchen and bathroom design. At the completion of the project we fell in love with our 20yr old home all over again! We also made a great friend in Morten. The Viking Craftsman is the contractor that everyone hopes they are contracting with when they begin a remodel. He is prompt, reliable, honest, meticulous, creative, customer centric, and works to provide the customer’s wishes within the budget. He performs a large majority of the work on a job, but the sub contractors that do work with him exhibit the same qualities and work ethics as The Viking Craftsman. We can't say enough about Morten Antonsen and his professional and outstanding craftsmanship... We remodeled our fireplace wall. Removing the small fireplace and replaced it with a larger stylish modern gas fireplace that is now centered on the wall and mounted a 75" TV above it and rocked the entire wall. He was very accommodating got any changes that were made and still got the project done by our deadline of Thanksgiving. We love the beautiful alder wood cabinets he built for us with metal screen fronts to hide our tv components, and the lighting he added is stunning and lights up the entire wall beautifully. If you are looking to remodel your home, you couldn't find a better person than Morten Antonsen.

We just finished a project with Morten the Viking Craftsman. Morten did a complete rebuild of our living room builtin cabinets to accommodate a new flat screen TV configuration. We found Morten by researching online. From our very first conversation Morten was professional and knowledgeable. We have had challenges with contractors in the past, as most people have, but that was not the case here. Morten did an outstanding job, he was a pleasure to work with and did exceptional work. He was efficient and minimized the impact to our home during construction. In my opinion, Morten is a very honest, genuine person who I would and will recommend to all of my friends and neighbors. We couldn't be happier!

My wife and I decided to hire Morten to design and build our family room's custom cabinet. We hired Morten to update our kitchen, replace our front and back doors, and build a covered patio area and grill island. We were looking for a contractor that did quality work and kept his client's needs as priority. We were referred to him by a friend who did some sub-contracting work for him. And Morten has lived up to this recommendation in every way. From the conception of the project (and we didn't know everything we wanted or needed) to design to the construction and finishing touches, Morten kept us informed of our choices and the impacts of those choices on the rest of the project and budget. He didn't try to rush the project or take longer than we were willing to live with. He communicated with us throughout the project so that we knew what to expect each week. He does a lot of work himself and the work that he does need to subcontract out, he holds to the same standards he would himself. And his invoices are spelled out in detail so you know what you are paying for. Overall, we are extremely happy with this project and with the quality Morten put into it. We will certainly use him for any future projects we dream up.
