CBC built our dream oceanfront home on Ocean Isle and did a fabulous job! Every aspect of the process was done with exceptional care and professionalism. The design process was very easy since Scott has such a multitude of floor plans in his portfolio to start with. He had great ideas and made all our wants and needs become a reality. The building process was very organized and they kept to their timeline. Jennifer was integral in helping us select items that we needed in an efficient and organized manner. We enjoyed working with all the vendors and sub-contractors. We did not have one disagreement with them throughout the whole process. Woody kept us updated with photos which was very helpful. Our home was completed in May 2019 and we have been thoroughly enjoying it. We stayed through Hurricane Isaias this year and did not have one bit of damage from the storm. A true testament to the quality of the builder!

Outstanding experience throughout the entire process! Scott, Jennifer and the team are supremely competent and supportive. Our Ocean Ridge neighbors, and Scott’s contractors continue to report that the skill and attention to detail while being supportive sets Carolina Bluewater apart from other builders. Finally Scott is a designer and a builder who visits his sites daily and takes pride in his finished product! Amazingly he finished ahead of schedule...... he promised Thanksgiving but delivered well before Halloween! We are thrilled with our new home and everyone who visits comments on how well built and beautiful it is!

The entire staff of CBC made the construction process simple and extremely organized, from color choices to choosing appliances. The attention to detail by all the staff and crews was outstanding. The outcome…a beautiful custom and structurally sound home on coastal North Carolina. We could not be happier with everyone at CBC. From the first visit to the day we were handed the keys to our beautiful island home, the team at Carolina Bluewater were exceptional. Scott's and Jennifer's ideas and suggestions were so helpful. Their attention to details and their planning made the process so easy! We could not be happier with our custom home. It is gorgeous inside and out. The quality of the home is outstanding. Even after finishing the project, they have been a great resource. We look forward to many years of enjoying our home. We would definitely build with Carolina Bluewater again!

We met and interviewed 2 different builders who were highly recommended, Scott Quaintance being one of them, to help us decide who would best meet our needs and expectations to build our beach house on OIB. Scott looked at several floor plans we presented to him and carefully listened to all the elements of design and architect we wanted to include and consider for our project. His reputation as a quality builder, his architectural and structural engineering background, his promptness in getting back to us with drawings and floor plans and his eagerness to win our business were the key factors in choosing him. During construction Scott had several creative ideas that gave unique design elements to our home. He is very conscientious with follow through and we valued his honesty and integrity. He demands high quality work from his subcontractors and would not hesitate to require rework if their standard of work was not on par with his high standards. Scott stands behind his products and genuinely wants his clients to be 100% satisfied with their homes. He expects professionalism and high craftsmanship from his subcontractors. This review would not be complete without also giving praise and thanks to Jennifer. She is the ultimate in organization and efficiency. Her follow through and promptness in resolving problems and issues that come up during and after completion is impeccable, Jennifer also has great experience and talent in the decorative details ( e.g. plumbing, lighting, hardware, etc.),that is helpful and invaluable because the enormity of so many decisions can become overwhelming. In the 33 years we have been married we have built 6 homes and building with Carolina Bluewater was by far the best building experience of them all.

Scott built our home on Holden Beach in 2014. Holden beach and CAMA were not the easiest to work around but Scott was patient and handled all of it for us. We are beyond pleased with the craftsmanship and the dedication and warranty they provide for their work. Our house was finished on time and superbly constructed. For the one or two small things that popped up afterwards - they came out IMMEDIATELY even on a weekend to address what were really very small things (a little bit of loose flashing or plumbing handle). Everyone who has said with us comments one how well it is built and it is incredibly noticeable when you are there during a storm - the house is incredibly quiet even when hurricane force winds are raging outside. Jennifer was also terrific to work with from day one. She accompanied me to each and every vendor and was willing to accommodate using a different vendor when we could not find exactly what we wanted. When we choose to build again there is absolutely no one else that we would use. Carolina Bluewater was simply wonderful.

We began working with Scott of CBC under unusual circumstances. He was very professional, responsible . He worked with us with our blue prints. Made changes for us. He was available whenever we had questions. His design builds a beautiful home. Our home is solidly built due to his design points made. He is a very good double engineer and comes from a family very familiar with construction business.

I can't say enough good things about this outstanding team of professionals at Carolina Bluwater. We interviewed 5-6 builders in the OIB area and found Scott's attention to detail in the planning process, pristine job sites and impeccable detail work hands down better than the rest. Each week they sent us photos from the job site and interacting with their design and installation team was very easy in getting our project completed. We found the quality of the work performed outstanding in fit, finish and detail. Please note that this brand new home was built on time and we had minimal punch list items; all of which were completed in one day.”

The day that we met Scott Quaintance was a blessing. The entire process of building our dream beach cottage went so smoothly. The entire team that is Bluewater Construction is so talented and a true delight to work with. The details can be overwhelming! We loved that they were eager to please and wanted us to say at the end of the construction phase -- "Wow"! We definitely did -- right down to the dog cubby in the entry hallway. It was such a great experience for us, that as we stood on the back deck and looked out at the Intracoastal Waterway, we decided to name our beach cottage "Bluewater Blessing". Jennifer and Heather were absolutely awesome in assisting us with interior design and color coordination throughout our home and we are very pleased with the final outcome. Jennifer was very patient and accommodating when we made changes. She kept us on track and provided us with current estimates so we always knew where we stood to our budget. We were very grateful as there were no surprises when we took occupancy. Woody was fantastic in keeping us updated as to the build progress via our personal Carolina Bluewater web account. The excellent pictures coupled with what was completed that week and what was coming up, gave us insight and helped us visualize progress. We found this site invaluable as we were 500 miles away. During the early construction process, Adam was great in walking us thru the framing details and Bruce’s help to close out the occupancy (punch list) items was appreciated. Your vendors: Keith with Outdoor Innovations, Mindy with Crossroad Appliance Center, and Cindy with Shallotte Electric were extremely knowledgeable and provided us with truly exceptional service. Scott, you are head and shoulders above other builders we have worked with as this is our 4th new construction home. Your in-depth experience and certified knowledge in design, architecture, and zoning regulations, coupled with your people skills in working with architecture and landscape committees made for us a turn-key, hassle-free experience and truly distinguishes you as an exceptional builder.

Scott Quaintance and his team at Carolina Bluewater Construction have just completed our new home as of the first of October 2014. My husband and I are extremely pleased with everything and can honestly say that we have never worked with a better group of people. Scott is so talented and wonderful, such a professional in every aspect. He was continually several steps ahead of us and caught things before we did. He was always willing to meet with us as often as necessary and discuss any changes or concerns that we might have had. His work ethic is beyond anything we could have imagined or asked for. You could tell that he really enjoyed the entire process of building our new home for us. Scott truly made you feel as though you were his only clients. Jennifer, our coordinator, walked us through everything from the appliances to the wood flooring and everything in-between. Not only was Jennifer's expertise invaluable but she was also excellent at keeping us on budget. She had a special way of getting us through the arduous task of making the difficult decisions as to which faucets, tiles, granite, lighting, flooring, etc., to choose. It was overwhelming at times but she was always so calm and very helpful, therefore making this a pleasurable experience. Woody, the photographer was amazing as he would keep us updated each Friday with pictures of the house through each stage. This was very exciting since we were not there to see the progress from day to day. Many thanks also to Heather and to Bruce. Who are also a part of this exceptional team. We are looking forward to many wonderful, happy and exciting years in our Ocean Isle Beach home thanks to Carolina Bluewater Construction. I simply can't praise them all enough!
