John Steed Homes is a company I highly recommend. John is a first class builder and works great with designers as well as clients. I am looking forward to working with him on many upcoming projects.

This spring, the our household began the journey of remodeling a major portion of their Orange, California home to including the living and dining rooms, kitchen and cabinetry, a powder room, flooring, ceiling and wall treatments. Because it was our intention to undertake this project from an environmentally “green” standpoint, we began the search for a general contractor that was not only skilled in this type of work but one that was able to help lead us down this path. John Steed and his company, John Steed Homes, came to us through a referral, and from our first meeting, it was clear that we found our partner. John and his team not only met but exceeded all of our expectations. In terms of measuring success, each and every milestone and commitment was met to include: workmanship; quality of work; sourcing of vendors; product selection and materials; timing; and, creativity. Not once did we ever hear the words from either John or a member of his team, “that can’t be done.” John and his team found workable solutions to every challenge or obstacle presented. Each member of the crew was professional, courteous, respectful of their surroundings and our neighbors. After the conclusion of the project, John has responded in a timely manner to any requests for adjustments necessary or simply called us to follow up. We highly endorse John Steed Homes as a general contractor, whether a “green” project or otherwise for either home remodeling or construction.

I am so impressed with John's work. Construction is an art but it seems like John has figured out how to make it more of a science. His craftsmanship is unparalleled and his attention to detail is amazing. Not only are his homes beautiful and well built, but they are good for the environment and for the health of the people who live there. John also has a huge passion for his work, just by talking to him you can tell that he takes pride in what he does and will built your home as good(or better) than if it was his own!

John Steed builds extremely high quality homes. He has built two LEED Platinum homes for us (one we live in and the other just went on the market). His workers are all talented craftsmen. John is passionate about greenbuilding, listens well, and is a great problem solver.
