We hired this company for some simple remodeling. They showed up with multiple workers that seemed to be on drugs and after the work was “completed” we found out that they called the police on these “workers” and lied and said that they were overdosing when they all seemed to be just fine, we also found out later that the reason they did this was to get out of paying them. I would absolutely never hire these people again. The type of scum that it takes to treat people like this is insane! I’m completely disappointed in the work that was provided.

In 2011 Anderson and I purchased a property with a home we wished to remodel. We contacted Brent Wimpee with Southern Kentucky Building and Remodeling and the project began. Brent and his competent crews built us a beautiful home which became a center of entertainment and memories for our friends and family. In 2013, we called again for Brent to remodel a rental we owned and, again, he created a beautiful home which we sold to a couple who love the property. I cannot recommend a more professional, truthful, gentle contractor who will build you what you want in a timely manner. Brent always told me, "Denishia, you can have anything you want. It's just time and money." We Love this man!

We hired Brent after meeting with a long list of qualified builders to salvage our remodel after our remodel went sour with our first contractor who failed to complete his contract, a project over $300,000. We even had to hire a structural engineer to prove a structural deficiency and we were kept out of our house for 17 months. Brent saved the day like a true professional, friendly and honest, who not only offered a unique solution no one else even thought of, he got the work completed timely, detailed, and with subs that were as nice as he was who offered details on all their work from start to finish. Most importantly, they were all english speaking card carrying americans who made you feel that your project was special. Beware of anyone with many nonenglish speaking spanish subs. Cost for what was done and needed too fix problems was very reasonable, and we never had to call him back for a single issue. We wish we had found him to do our entire remodel because this is someone who will definitely leave you 100% satisfied and appreciative that there are still builders out there that care about you unlike our first contractor who we cannot disclose. I like to have details explained to me on what or how things are done and Brent welcomed the opportunity to explain in detail whatever task undertaken and his subs stuck to it till it was perfect. Brent as I mentioned, saved the day and completed the remodel in an affordable yet professional manner He proved his ability to take on a difficult task that made us proud to be in our home again. I now have some new projects I want him to do as I feel so confident in his work and great subs. Don't ever start any project without a meeting and bid from him, you will be very pleased. Brent Wimpee and his team have performed wonderfully in the remodeling effort that Grace Community Church is undergoing. They have transformed what was for the most part a large house into an expansive space that includes an updated kitchen, large gathering spaces and well designed and equipped classroom spaces. Brent and Southern Kentucky Building and Remodeling have done multiple projects for me and my companies over the last 15 years. SKBR have built 3 of my personal residences as well as several income producing units. I have found them to be honest, accessible, and on time/budget. I would recommend SKBR for small remodels or larger projects.

The contractor is professional, takes his time to explain everything and has great subcontractors to do the work needed. I can say I read the contract thoroughly and he was ammenable to changes upfront. I also provided him with a professionally drawn floor plan for the new porch and garage, including all electrical, doors etc. The project was completed in the time available although bad winter weather did delay construction, not his fault. I would recommend him and the company for any residential work you might need as that is what I am most familiar with. I believe I only had three changes made during construction and we agreed on the cost. I really am pleased with the quality of materials, the work and those folks he employees to work.
