Four Blocks South

Four blocks south was fabulous! Beth was fabulous at focusing, not just on the aesthetics but on the functionality of the space. They took my ideas and requests and pulled them together with excellent suggestions. They also made this the most headache free renovation by supplying an organized supply list for all the materials! I absolutely love the end product and it far exceeded my dreams!

We recently purchased an older home and did a large-scale renovation. Beth was there from the layout and design stage all the way to furniture and accents. We felt that she was fully committed to our project and she helped us to achieve a beautiful and functional result. She listened to us, respected our budget, and really made the whole process stress-free!

Four Blocks South was highly recommended to me by a friend and after an initial consultation I felt very comfortable hiring Beth to help me create a warm and cosy feeling in my new home. She and Leah used some of my existing pieces in addition to sourcing some new furniture and a carpet and came up with a fabulous design that exactly matched my needs, taste and budget. I was impressed by their efficient and professional attitude, their ability to listen and understand my own needs and their clear communication, both verbal and written. They were a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to recommend Four Blocks South for a positive experience in creating the room or home you wish for.

If there was an option for 6+ stars, Beth is more than deserving. Beth worked with us from design to execution. Her top notch service always made us feel like we were her most important client and she was truly invested in our renovation as a partner. She designed 2 gorgeous bathrooms and a kitchen from top to bottom and they are fabulous in both looks and function. She also worked with us to chose flooring, carpet, wallpaper, paint colours, lighting and other details throughout the house. Beth is a very unique designer because she is very skilled in the artistic / aesthetic aspects of design but she is also very technical so you know a plan or design will make sense. She is versatile and can work well with general a contractor and other trades and is always professional and helpful. Beth goes the extra mile for her clients - she supported us through some rough moments with her great contacts. I would hire Beth again - in a heartbeat.

Our experience with Four Blocks South was excellent. Beth is absolutely lovely, she understood the style that we were going for after just one conversation and made a ton of good suggestions. Beth helped us navigate the myriad of choices out there for sourcing products and we are very pleased with the results. Despite working with a very limited design budget we never felt pressured to make choices that we couldn't afford. I enjoyed every interaction that we had and I will certainly seek Beth out when we have work to do in the future.

Last year (Jun 2017-Jul 2018) we renovated our entire house. I definitely could not have tackled any of the design of the house without Beth's help. Beth is professional and is extremely hard -working. She understood my vision and respected our working budget. She is honest and responded immediately to any of my requests.. a true professional! She was extremely creative working with a very narrow layout. She maximized every inch for storage! My husband and I were amazed at her attention to detail. I cannot say enough good things about Beth. The entire process of working with her was a positive one. We are extremely thrilled and so pleased with how everything turned out. The interior design exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Four Blocks South. We will definitely be calling Beth in the future when we have further interior plans to complete.

The ladies from Four Blocks South went over and above for us. They “bent over backwards” to ensure that we were happy with their design ideas, and the end result was our dream home. We hired Four Blocks South, because we were looking for someone to decorate our condo top to bottom (a new build at Yonge & Lawrence). and then discovered that we missed living in our rental at Yonge & St Clair. For the first move, they had “carte blache” about what was to be done with the place, while for the second move, we had some space to fill, so they came up with some great ideas for pieces that would fit right into our existing décor!
