Maria prides herself on being trustworthy, professional and ethical while developing strong relationships with her clients. Although the majority of her clients are local to North Carolina, she is available for travel anywhere in the USA.

She came out and met with us, asked about lifestyle, and toured our home to see what made us comfortable. She put together a plan and presented it to us. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. Piedmont Personal Builders, LLC is a custom home building company working throughout the Piedmont Triad area of Central North Carolina. We use Maria's services on almost every project as a resource to our customers in assisting them in selecting their products, materials, patterns, finishes, and colors for their new homes. Maria works well with our homebuyers, offering thoughtful suggestions and ideas to help them achieve the look they want in their new homes. She does not try to design the home for herself, but rather, assists the homebuyer in achieving their own goals and allowing the homebuyer's personality to come through in the final design. She is great with color, and has a gift for being able to foresee in advance what it will all look like when it is completed, giving our homebuyers confidence that everything will come together in a harmonious final product. Making selections for a new home is a daunting task for most people. So she literally takes the fear out making selections for our customers. We recommend her highly.

It was a distinct pleasure to work with Maria updating my family room and dining room. She understood my personal style and gently invited me to consider some new approaches to decorating my spaces. Maria Adams did a complete design plan for our new combined kitchen/den space. We wanted something we could implement over time since we were unable to complete the entire project at once. I also wanted her help because I was so overwhelmed by all the choices and just couldn't visualize how the space should look. After spending some time with me, asking questions, measuring, and taking pictures of the space, she left and a couple weeks later brought back a fabulous plan that captured my style so well I couldn't believe it! I loved every item she chose, and some of them, like the back splash tile, were things I would never have picked myself but have become my favorite features in the room. We ended up using our own contractor for much of the work but she recommended sources for all the labor and all the products, such as cabinets and flooring, and the ones we used worked out well. I highly recommend her!

We hired Maria at IDS to design a bathroom and laundry closet that would allow us to have have all services on the main floor of our house. Maria was very attentive to our needs and our tastes. The resulting design solved so many problems for us and it looks gorgeous. We have shown it to many people and everyone agrees that it is wonderful. The best endorsement came from one of the women who clean our house. We suspect that she has seen many bathrooms, but she lit up when she saw ours. Maria's clear insight and management of the project was invaluable.

Maria Adams, chief designer with IDS by Maria, has been the designer for our master bedroom, upstairs bath, upstairs bedroom, kitchen (complete renovation), laundry room, and living and dining rooms.. She did a fantastic job, and we are thrilled with the results. Maria is always conscious of the budget, which is established up front. She will make the necessary changes to stay within that budget, which is much appreciated. Also important is that Maria listens to the clients' preferences, needs and requests and incorporates these into her plans. All in all we had a wonderful experience with Maia and would highly recommend her.

i received a coupon from groupon or living social and had Maria come by for 2 consultations. I didn't hire her or anyone else, but did value her advice.

Maria gave me advice on furniture arrangement, colors, area rugs and overhead light fixtures. I am on a very tight budget and was unable to hire her for as much time as I would have liked.
