Melissa has taken on 2 large projects and now is embarking on a total rebuild. What I’ve appreciated most about working with her is how organized she is, her tremendous attention to detail and her approach in mixing price points. She took extra time to get to know how our family lives, creating spaces that not just brought in light but lots of comfort. I love how she made our spaces warm again. Melissa came into our DIY home renovation and quickly created a plan for the physical space. Her selections for finishes have given our kitchen a cohesive and stylish look we would have lacked without her. Melissa was hands down, the best choice we made in the whole decision making process when we decided to remodel our Master Bath. She went well beyond the scope of designer in every aspect of the project. We chose Melissa Reiser Interiors based on a few posts on social media, but those posts didn't do her justice based on how well everything was thought out, materials paired together, and the overall vision she had for Bath. We could not be more happy with the way everything turned out! She will be the only person we will ever call again for future projects!

Melissa is an incredibly talented designer that went above and beyond to make our family room space beautiful, functional, and above all peaceful! She designed the room with input and consideration of all family members including teenage daughters. I can not find the appropriate words to use to describe my decorating "adventure" with Melissa. She was professional! She was punctual! She was knowledgable! She was spot on with her recommendations - even when I asked, "Are you sure?"! I reached out to Melissa, at the last minute, for recommendations on a whole house exterior paint color scheme. We had 24 hours to come up with a plan because the painters were available "now." She was very accommodating with my timeline, and, the fact that I was 300 miles away in WV, did not deter her. Lots of pictures, some videos, and many questions later, I took her recommendations and LOVE the choices we made! In a time where customer service is lacking, my experience with Melissa showed that she was willing to go above and beyond. She gets the credit every time someone comments on how great our home looks!

We worked with Melissa on several room renovations to bring the traditional design to a more contemporary modern aesthetic. She also helped us to decide what is worth the short-term investment now so we can enjoy vs longer term investments to increase the resell value based upon our goals. She was very flexible, understanding our budget & short term vs long term updates. She provided multiple options with customized designs to not just fit our personalities but successfully blend more modern pieces in with the existing traditional design aspects we chose not change. Melissa helped me make my house feel like my home, stepping in during our first floor renovation. Having never used a designer before, I was a bit nervous. I’m terribly indecisive and she was patient and calm with me, helping me to consider options I never thought I would like while allowing me the flexibility I needed to feel confident that my vision was going to be implemented. As a result, my home is comfortable and welcoming, with modern and classic touches that are inspired by the ocean towns I have lived in before moving “inland.” Recently I had my very big, extended family visit and received many compliments on my furniture, color choices and lighting. I highly recommend working with Melissa. We downsized from a traditional home and wanted a fresh, casual style by the lake without being “campy”. Melissa pulled together the core living areas with a cohesive color palette, rugs, furniture and decor. She even found ways to incorporate some odd pieces from our travels while gently dissuading me from trying to save other pieces from my traditional decor (sometimes you just need someone to tell you to let go☺️). She has led three projects for me over several years - 1. a main level refresh, 2. a whole house pre-sale refresh and staging, 3. major renovation of main and basement levels including a complete kitchen gutting. Melissa has a degree in art that gives her a unique understanding of color and how room positioning and light impacts the color and overall aesthetic appeal. She takes elements of styles my family likes and pulls them together for a cohesive end product. Each time she has worked within my budget - she practically pays for herself by finding great deals and reliable, reasonable contractors. She saved me $2k on a plumber this last time and her painter quoted one project at 25% less than others - both with great results! 5 stars!

We asked Melissa to "finish" our home. We moved in about 1.5 years ago, unpacked and that was it. There are lots of open shelving and windows, an off centered dinning room but minimal wall space so decorating was a challenge. Melissa took on that challenge and the outcome was AMAZING! She was able to not only redesign 5 of our rooms and a few display areas, but everything flows so well and there are personal touches throughout.
