New to the area, David and I first met Michelle when we need our kitchen updated, with traveling back and forth to PA for work she took charge of the project, keeping us informed every step of the way. Michelle listened to our ideas and suggested her own, which our kitchen turned out fabulous and beautiful, keeping within our budget. When we had another awesome opportunity to work with Michelle building our Barndominium, she knew of our limited time, and always made the time for us when we where back in the area to go over all the details. She became our eyes here in North Carolina when we were in PA. She made the decision process extremely easy. If there was an issue, she was there offering her help. Her ideas were right on track with what we were thinking. We could not ask for a more authentic and knowledgeable interior designer, whom now we get to call a good friend. Michelle was an ideal designer and project manager for two first-time bathroom remodelers. Our primary bathroom was beginning to fade, and so I reached out to Michelle to see if she was a good fit—I immediately liked her pragmatic approach, respect to our budget/timeline and needs. She was willing to be more supportive in certain design areas as I requested, was a fantastic communicator and project manager, and really went above and beyond to ensure the work was well done and completed as we expected.

We were referred to Michele, by a satisfied McKoy & Associate’s client . We were in need of some general updating to our kitchen and a rebuild of an outdated built in media center. On our first meeting, Michelle was spot on what we could do to maximize our space, update our kitchen and stay within our budget. We wanted someone who would manage the remodel and sub contractors . Michelle listened and understood our vision . We didn’t want to be the person that had to go in search of tile and countertops. Michelle is a great communicator and she made it easy . I explained to her right off I needed help with vision and color:) Her guidance was and is invaluable. Her sub contractors were excellent, especially Ronnie, who is an artisan cabinet maker. He reworked our older cabinets to make them soft close and made solid wood doors to replace the doors on our media center. Just an amazing artisan. It was a wonderful experience. Michelle came in on very short notice to help complete our commercial space. She quickly got to know us and our business. Her design help was incredible: reasonable cost and superior taste. She is not only a great designer, she is a ton of fun to work with! I highly recommend her for any interior design work.

Our 25 year old home needed a complete exterior update including roof, gutters, paint colors, lighting and outdoor fans. Michelle put together a cohesive look that was updated but also appropriate for the style of our somewhat traditional brick house. It went from dated, boring brown to WOW! We’ve received so many compliments on it and now you actually NOTICE it from the street! So much more curb appeal! She saved us so much time, money, and frustration with her decisiveness and knowledge. We used several of her contractors and were very pleased. She checked in throughout the process and communicated with the contractors when needed. I especially appreciated her honest feedback and her ability to keep me focused and on track! Would definitely love to work with her again on future projects!

We were looking for a designer to help us with all the product and color selection throughout a new construction build then with the decorating once complete. We were referred to Michelle during a happenstance conversation and consider ourselves very fortunate that we did! We are extremely pleased with everything Michelle brought to the table since day one. She has a great personality that works with so many types of people and she has an innate ability to bring great recommendations just from listening to our random (and sometimes bad) ideas. Michelle is not pushy either - she wants to support when and how we want. Two important outcomes that she helped us achieve are: 1) we love all the decisions that were based on Michelle’s recommendations and 2) she has saved us tens of thousands of dollars in mistakes we would have made had we tried to do this on our own. We had never worked with a Designer. We always thought our neutral tastes would appeal to others. However, based on feedback from our 2 recent home sales, our tastes were not appreciated as much as we thought and cost us time and money. We just purchased an existing home needing WOW factor. Rather than winging it again, we chose Michelle McCoy. She has made all the difference. Michelle is top notch with a great eye for design. We hired her for design advice on modernizing and accessorizing our home. She knows how to create a classy look with the right combination of paint, furniture, lighting, artwork and rugs. Michelle is even helping us with a backyard makeover. We highly recommend Michelle McCoy; we certainly plan to work with her again. She is easy to work with and at the same time is not afraid to tell us when she disagrees with us. Don’t make over a home without her!

THIS is the pro designer you HIRE! We are completing a spacious basement for the use of comfortable entertaining. Design input was key as our floor plan was essentially a blank slate. Michelle suggested uses and solutions that weren't even on our radar. She is creative, knowledgeable and very up to date on what materials are available/how to find them and details that are on trend. She delivered solutions when we had questions. I cannot imagine ever finishing a home project without her input. If you want unique, functional and stylish design and decor for ANY build project...this is the woman you call.

I am so thankful for Michelle's partnership during my extensive home renovation. She has an innate skill for design but what sets her apart from other designers is that she truly listens to what you are trying to achieve and helps to guide your ideas into a design plan that is not only functional, but is unique, timeless and individual enough that it doesn't look like a cookie cutter replica. I know what I like but am not great at putting things together for a cohesive design and I loved her willingness to collaborate with me every step of the way. And I very much appreciated that she was conscious of my budget and was creative around problem solving where challenges came up. From paint colors to furniture choices to being your advocate with vendors, Michelle stands apart! The only regret I have is not engaging her to take complete control of the entire project management scope to oversee the contractor and subs in order to keep them performing efficiently and with the highest standards of quality! I recommend Michelle without hesitation and for any design aesthetic!
