I have been living in my home for 16 years and it really needed updating. I enthusiastically write this review since Robin has exceeded my expectations. I am blown away with the progress of my house. Robin’s “eye” for elegant, yet affordable home goods is exactly what I needed. Moreover, Robin is passionate about ensuring that deliveries of goods are successful and service from the businesses meet expectations. Robin also makes herself available and goes the extra mile to deliver an outstanding consultation. I cannot recommend her enough.

Robin McHaney is a very professional interior decorator. I had so many decisions that had to be made and a wrong one can cost you money. She helped me decide on everything I needed for my home. The house is exactly what I wanted and she even saved me money. Very pleasant and caring. Went to battle where it was necessary. (Painter). I would recommend her to everyone that asks.

We were very fortunate to have found Robin, while researching for an interior designer to help us remodel a townhouse in need of a lot of love. Our remodel was pretty extensive and involved reconfiguring a laundry room, widening the opening between the family and dining rooms, refacing cabinets, scraping and texturing walls, installing new countertops, tile, flooring, and painting the whole house. Due to Robin’s expertise the finished product turned out great. We met her several times at various vendors and she was always on time and efficient at making selections. Robin with Simply Elegant Interiors was instrumental in assisting with all design selections for the remodeling project of the upstairs. We wanted to do a complete bathroom remodel as well as the bedrooms upstairs and replace the carpeting up there. She selected counters, flooring, shower tile, paint, lighting, plumbing, mirror and the décor. For the bedrooms, she selected new furniture pieces, carpet, bedding, art and décor. We continue to work with Robin on new projects. She has done paint selections, flooring selections and replaced the lighting. We are currently in the beginning phase of remodeling the downstairs. This is our second job with Robin. We are remodeling a multi purpose room that will have home office space, exercise space, and movie watching space. With all this happening in one space, I need the room to feel serene and refreshing. Robin helped me find the perfect fabric for roman shades which are replacing blinds. She also helped me find the perfect fabric for a new sofa. Of course, due to covid, it will be several months before the furniture arrives.

I interviewed several design consultants before selecting Robin for her open, easy going, and straight forward communication style, and variety of looks she has designed for her clients. Robin has not disappointed! She is helping us with design, color and materials selections, and overall consultation on our whole house remodel including coordinating and consulting with the carpenter, electrician, lighting design professional, flooring, etc. She has an incredible eye for color that is unmatched and is giving us great ideas for our project that are unique, custom to our taste and style, and affordable. She is very professional, collaborative, has access to great resources, keeps her word, always shows up early for appointments, and knows exactly what style we want to achieve for our home and has put together beautiful designs. I previously worked with a different designer who charged a sizable amount of money and did a horrible job on drapes for our master bedroom. Then I called Robin at Simply Elegant Interiors and she saved the day. She completely reworked the drapes and turned them into something beautiful. I ended up using Robin for my entire house, draperies, bedding, tableaux, upholstery and much more. Robin listens to her clients and is totally honest. If she thinks what you’ve selected won’t look right, she will tell you and offer suggestions. I love that about her. First of all, I’d like to say thank you to Robin for everything! It has taken me a week to write this review because I wanted to think of everything I needed to say. Bottom line, I could not have done this without her. My bathroom remodel turned in to a whole downstairs remodel due to flooding from a recent storm. Having to make selections for my entire house, all at the same time, was more than overwhelming to me. I have the visions in my head of what I wanted it to look like but cannot communicate them very well verbally. Robin was so patient with me. She listened to my ideas, likes, and wants and did her magic by putting them into words, so to speak. She spent hours with me making shower tile, wood flooring, granite, sinks, backsplash, fireplace stone and light fixture selections, not to mention ordering hundreds of different paint swatches for my whole house and cabinets. I didn’t realize just saying I wanted gray paint meant I had to chose from 50 shades of Gray, literally! Not only was she available by email, she would always respond to my phone calls, texts and probably a dozen pictures of things I would send her. If she couldn’t really give an opinion based on a picture she would come to my house within minutes to look in person, on her own free time. That happened on more than 3 occasions. She would not give me her opinion on something unless she was 100% sure it was the right decision, and she would not tell me something looked good just because I thought it did. She is very honest but not in a way to make you feel bad about something. Robin truly loves her job and her clients. She made me feel so at ease about making so many decisions at once. I was completely overwhelmed and dreading this process until I met Robin. My home is almost complete, I cannot wait to see the final result. Do I ever want to have to remodel again, no....but if I do, Robin will be the first person I call. I don’t feel like I’m just a “client”, I feel like I’ve made a friend through this process. She has made it fun and kept me sane for the last three months. If someone reading this is on the fence about hiring an interior designer, do not hesitate to reach out to Robin. I promise you will not be disappointed!

I enjoyed working with Robin. Her ideas blended well with what I envisioned. She is friendly and personable. I do not work well with too many choices; therefore, I relied on Robin’s experience and her eye for color to make the paint color choices. Her ideas for window treatments and glare reduction in our kitchen, breakfast room, are beautiful and work great. Every texture, color, and material choice for our master bathroom are perfect and are things I would not have known would work together. I’m glad I found Robin and I highly recommend her.

Robin did an awesome job of finding out what I wanted and efficiently pulled together materials for kitchen, multiple bathrooms, carpet, paint, and light fixtures for my project. Her familiarity with a supplier’s product selections enable her to suggest several options which removed the stress of being overwhelmed by the number of choices. She was responsive to my likes and dislikes which included spending time going through more paint samples to ensure I was happy with my final selection. This project would not have come together as easily and smoothly as it did without her!

I was in the market to purchase drapes for my new home. I inquired with a prior interior designer who was disinterested in working with me since at the time I was only in the market to purchase drapes rather than having a larger project for her to work on. Robin is easy to work with, had great ideas, and tons of options. Robin helped me find fabric and hardware that to my liking. Once my order was placed she kept me updated on my order. Once the materials arrived she even spent hours with the installer at my home to supervise and make certain that everything was just perfect. I’d definitely hire Robin again for my next project.

I have worked with Robin for almost 9 years on multiple projects, across two homes (Fall Creek & Kingwood). Most have been small, in comparison. Robin recently helped us after the Harvey flood. As usual, she was able to take the vague descriptions for what I envisioned, and make it a gorgeous reality! With her help, I was able to choose all of the materials for our entire downstairs in one hour! This was such a help, as decision making was very overwhelming. It was very stressful to re-design the entire first floor! Robin made it so easy. We worked on the color of wood floors, stone in the study, and helped us coordinate our kitchen and master bathroom. Her designs are simple, yet elegant - just like her company’s name. She is always respectful of budgets, and goes out of her way to help in any way that she can. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Robin. She worked with my Mom after the Harvey flood. My Mom is 88 and without Robin, i don’t know what she would have done. Robin has superb taste, is very budget conscious and is so easy to work with. I can’t tell you how many times Mom changed her mind about things, and with Robin it was “no problem”. She’s dependable, always on time for meetings and very professional. I very highly recommend her.

Robin did such a great job on the draperies for my 2-story windows. They look AMAZING and really elevate the look of my living room. In addition, she's super professional, always gives the best advice on what works best vs what might cost most, and is fair. I am not the best decorator but Robin really has an eye for what looks great. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking to make their home beautiful.

Robin was great to work with on our project. We worked with her for a year on draperies and home decor. We chose to do the project in phases to spread the cost over time. She listened to our likes and dislikes to help us achieve the look we wanted. She is also amenable to repurposing items you already have for use in the design. The transformation is amazing. Simply Elegant Interiors is by far the most knowledgeable and resourceful company I have worked with to date, and there has been numerous over the years, as I enjoy restoring old properties. The work quality is stellar and Robin will not settle for anything less. She is strictly hands on and she does not leave details to technicians and installers. Our latest project was an old cottage that needed to basically be rebuilt. Start date for project was March 2016 with a budget of 100,00.00. Every detail to rebuild this old place and keep it to period of 1930's was accomplished in that we visited antique shops and shopped for decorative, dishes, rugs, furnishings. This old place is located in rural East Texas where resources are most limited. This was not a problem for Robin. She located vendors from all areas and some how convinced them to service our area. That was short of a miracle. At present, we have decided to secure Simply Elegant Interiors for the landscaping of this 12 area. She has suggested a pond and small scale orchard. We are very excited about the final outcome of the grounds. In conclusion, we just don't, feel secure trusting this complex of a project to anyone else. Robin has always met budget and most of all deadlines with time for weekly review built into her schedule. Robin's integrity and work quality is always delivered with great care, friendliness, and we trust her with our resources !!!!

I am totally happy with my experience with Robin McHaney of Simply Elegant Interiors. I sort of knew what I wanted, but I just don’t know how to put it together or where to start. Robin McHaney of Simply Elegant Interiors was the right person for me. Our home needed a professional’s touch. I had attempted to work with another popular interior design firm in the past, but I didn’t like the cumbersome processes, and a minimum project price limit which was beyond my initial budget. I found Simply Elegant through a community referral page. Robin is a professional designer with good rates that my somewhat modest budget could afford. This project was window treatments for my family room (20 ft ceilings) and breakfast area and also some decor items. It all came together in the perfect combination for me, a professional designer with expert style, easy to work with, timely, flexible, honest, and most importantly budget friendly. I sought Robin's assistance for window treatments for my home, specifically for the family room, breakfast room, kitchen, and formal dining room. Prior to this, the only window treatments that were in place were 2-inch blinds for privacy, and my home just looked plain and sterile. The house is beautiful, but it did not feel like a home, and I was contemplating selling. Robin assured me that I would feel differently about my home once I saw it with window coverings, and she was so right. My experience in working with Robin was entirely positive. Because I was already familiar with the taste and quality of her work, I simply asked her to make design suggestions for each window and to pull a couple of fabrics and hardware based on the colors already represented in my home. She was able to quickly provide her recommendations accompanied by a professionally prepared cost estimate and anticipated timeframe in which I could expect installation. She adeptly facilitated the decision process in a way that greatly relieved my mind, because I didn't want to spend hours pouring over fabrics. I was so impressed with her designs and the fabric combinations she suggested, and I couldn't wait to see my new windows. On installation day, Robin showed up with her installer (he's great too!) on time. She also came in at the agreed budget we'd set together. I am certain I have the most beautiful windows in The Woodlands/Conroe area! My house now feels like a warm, cozy, beautiful home.

Robin McHaney helped me with numerous projects in my home. She custom made window treatments, helped me pick paint colors, made custom bedding, and helped me shop for home accessories. She is always on time for appointments. Installation of window treatments were done correctly.

I hired Robin to dress two large square windows in my bathroom. I was pretty clear on what I wanted and contacted her because she was one of the few decorators that dealt with the Tableaux Iron product I was wanting. I also wanted a valance to finish the windows. She offered endless fabric books that allowed me to find the color scheme and pattern I wanted. In the end, she delivered the product in the time agreed upon and I was ecstatic with the end result.

I had a wonderful time working with Robin at Simply Elegant Interiors. While I was completely overwhelmed with selecting drapery for a massive vaulted room, Robin was extremely professional in her patience and design suggestions. She designed what I "asked for" and when I realized I really didn't like it, she designed something else. Again and again until we discovered the perfect set of draperies! Robin gave careful detail and explanation to each step of the process (you wouldn't believe what "hanging a pair of curtains" really entails!) Her willingness to work with my budget was SO appreciated; offering suggestions to "save here" and "spend here." Robin was in constant communication with me regarding ordering statuses, warehouse schedules, etc. And she was at my house during the entire installation process; giving direction and making sure the draperies were absolutely perfect (down to the last fold). The draperies were beautifully designed, sewn, and installed. You will not be disappointed while working with Robin!

I hired Simply Elegant Interiors in March 2014. I wanted faux iron above the fireplace. Robyn came to my home and explained what the process was in ordering and installing the Faux Iron. She brought samples of the Faux Iron, and after the area was measured the order was placed. My Faux Iron was delivered and installed in the exact time she said it would be and my piece was beautiful.
