I am looking for a unique custom design for my little wood stilt house on Sanibel that was damaged during Hurricane Ian. I was very excited to read these reviews as I felt sure that I was going to finally have someone to bring my vision to life! I met with my designer and he seemed to understand what I was going for so I waited excitedly for my design. Unfortunately the first design dimensions were completely off so we spent our entire meeting with me correcting them. Our second meeting I realized there were many misunderstandings and we spent that meeting correcting those and making a few adjustments. By the third meeting the drawing was finally looking like it should have from the start; however, he had my cabinet and wood selections incorrect, and we again had to spend time going over that. Getting to this point took quite awhile and I was (am) extremely anxious to get this project rolling. It was very frustrating having to wait so long for each design "revision" just to find they were done in a rush and incorrectly and that many of my requests were ignored. Unfortunately I was then told they had spent enough time on my design (3 meetings) and it was time to put a retainer or 50% deposit down. Well..the problem with that is the meetings were not so much "revisions" as they were me correcting the designers mistakes. I have no doubt that if I had 3 real meetings and a designer that had the time to put care into my project that I'd have a kitchen right now. I just wanted to get the design close enough that I felt they had a clue what I wanted before making a commitment. Meanwhile, as I'm trying to decide if I should proceed, I spoke with the contractor who informed me that my job doesn't have enough work for him to do to be worth his while, so he will not do it. Now I'm left completely confused here... Shouldn't the designer have known that ahead of time? I asked the designer if there was another contractor who could take my job on and was told there is not. I then received a message that my job is closed and if I want to open it to send the retainer. This ended up being such a waste of time for both me and anyone who worked on my design. I feel like he is a good designer but is probably juggling too many projects and therefore was not able to give my project the attention that others here seemed to receive. Like many design firms, they seem to have taken on too much work post-Ian and no longer are able to provide the special customer experience they did before.

15/10 hands down!! Start to finish Nate and his team understood and executed my vision. Beyond my imagination. Extremely responsive consummate professionals!!

We were referred to Cabinet Genies by residents in our community who had positive experiences. Our project was in process when hurricane Ian arrived and considering the devastation in the area impacting both workers and putting additional stress on supply chains which caused disruptions. The project did resume in a timely manner. There were a couple of design issues that were not recognized on the project renderings but Cabinet Genies worked with us and resolved the issues to our expectations. We now have a beautiful, new kitchen and remodeled laundry room. Final thought using any firm, be sure that all details of the project are in your agreement. This seems like common sense but having built homes in rural northeast Indiana and knowing the builder who knew our expectations and we could adjust on the fly, that does not work here.

My husband and I are 100% satisfied with our kitchen/house remodel designed by Cabinet Genies and implemented by Lighthouse Building and Remodeling Inc. We met with Nate of CG in February 2019. We provided pictures of our “old” kitchen and made an appointment for him to come to our house when we were available in March. Nate was very familiar with the popular 1980’s L-shaped footprint of our home. We told him of our wish for a totally open floorplan. Within two weeks he provided us with his design that involved the removal of three walls. When we saw his vision, we were “sold”. While we selected our cabinetry, hardware, sinks and fixtures directly from Cabinet Genies, Nate provided us with his preferred contacts for granite, flooring and appliances. His projected budget set certain limits as far as granite grade, price per sq ft. flooring and appliance quality. Happily we were able to stay within our budget. I cannot say enough about the contractor who works with Nate. Derek, the owner of Lighthouse Building and Remodeling Inc, went above and beyond our expectations during the entire project. As we are snowbirds, we elected to have the work done in our absence. Work commenced on May 20, 2019. Through the Buildertrend App we were able to see the entire projected daily schedule from Demolition to Customer Walk Through scheduled on August 15, 2019. Photos were regularly uploaded so we could see the transformation in real time with our own eyes. As with all projects on older homes, a couple of issues did arise. In both cases, Derek provided us with 3 possible solutions, priced accordingly. He kept us in the driver seat through phone calls and Skype. Amazingly, we did do our walk through with Derek on August 15th when we flew down for a week to inspect the work. He suggested we take our time living in the house to check things out and formulate a list of any issues or changes we’d like to make. By weeks end, we had our list and had post-its around the house to call his attention to our concerns. We left and Derek assured us everything on the list would be “fixed”. When my husband and I finally made it down in January (a new grandson delayed our usual fall return), we walked in to our beautiful “new” home. Post-it notes were gone and the house was picture-perfect. Actually, pictures do not do it justice.

The company was extremely professional. The owner came and did the drawing and it was perfect. It was a joy watching him in action. The cabinet install person was really professional and a perfectionist which is what we wanted since we waited for 20 years to do this and spent way more than we thought we would. Nate gave us a contractor who was amazing and easy to work with. We looked at other companies but kept coming back to Cabinet Genies. They were the Mercedes of cabinets and the others were just a Chevy! Would recomend them with no hesitation.

Cabinet Genies was a breath of fresh air in our whole house remodel. Professional. Our 9 1/2 feet x 5 foot cabinet island under Quartz is gorgeous. The showpiece of the home. Would absolutely use them again!

After several consultations with a competitor, we did not feel we were being taken seriously and were highly discouraged. Any ideas outside of the standard were quickly dismissed and felt we were not making progress. From the moment we walked into Cabinet Genies and met Tyler, we felt respected and understood. Several years ago, we needed a complete kitchen remodel. I had no idea where to start. I walked into several shops and was ignored or left to my own devices. Then I walked into Cabinet Genies and met Nate Gaubert. He welcomed me and sat down with me for half an hour. We made an appointment for him to see the house and boom! We began! Cabinet Genies gave us the kitchen of our dreams, from the island to the cabinets to granite to hardware; everything turned out just the way we wanted. They were total professsionals: on time, helpful, patient. Naturally , when we needed our bathrooms done the following year, they were our only choice. For attention to details, quality materials, and personal service, Cabinet Genies is the best selection.

We had a substantial flood in our home that necessitated the removal of several hundred feet of baseboards so that holes could be drilled in the drywall to expedite the remediation process. Cabinet Genies expertly reattached all the baseboards so that the need of touch up paint and hole filler is very minimal. Cabinet Genies also installed superb kitchen cabinets in 2018 that have received many compliments. Subsequently, several neighbors have used Cabinet Genies for their kitchen remodeling.

I wanted to replace the 'standard builder grade' cabinets on a new home I had just built. I met with Nate and knew from our first sit down that he understood my vision for my kitchen and he was a wealth of knowledge in this business. We have just completed a remodel of our 1960 kitchen. The experience we had with Cabinet Genie was beyond exceptional! In 4wks. I have the kitchen of my dreams. Working with Cabinet Genie was such a pleasure. We had a calendar that outlined what was to be done each day. No guessing. Our project manager was continuously watching over the project and any concerns were dealt with before we ever noticed. Every sub contractor arrived on time, was professional,meticulous, and pleasant.The drywall contractor tried four different processes until he was happy with matching our existing wall texture. We contracted with Cabinet Genies for a secondary remodel. Prior to moving in we did a full remodel on our condo, but after moving in realized there was more to be done. We had several ideas to resolve some storage issues but we weren't sure if our ideas were the best possible solutions. Jim and Jordon arrived on the scene, listened to what I thought I wanted, took excellent measurements of every space, and then went back to work on the best possible solutions. Insert Nate, Tyler and Suzanne at this point. Their combined skills brought us detailed drawings, estimates, and clear expectations. We had questions, we had tweaks, but never did we feel like we were a bother to them. The exceptional communication and time line brought to us via their interactive job website, was phenomenal. We never had to guess what was happening, or who was coming to our home. Every step of the job detail was exactly as expected. The crews left our home DAILY in better condition than when they arrived. It was quite a contrast to our previous remodel experience. At the final punch out, the team very much welcomed our input. They actually added things to the list that we didn't even notice! Our final results in every single area work was performed exceed our expectations. The space we gained in 4 closets left us with many empty shelves! Such a great design. The office we built in to a large walk-in closet looks like it has always been a part of our home and blends seamlessly with the surrounding areas. It is a pleasure to work in this lovely space they created. My original idea would have been horrible! They helped me see the light and I am so grateful for their experience. This may be an exceptionally long review (I have only left 2 reviews in my life on-line!) but my experience with Cabinet Genies warranted the space and time. It is rare to encounter a remodel that you can actually willingly sing the praises of the entire experience. This is one of those times. After being confused to the max by trying to order cabinets and countertop from a big box store, walking into the Cabinet Genies showroom is like going to a spa. As well as being good natured, informed, and offering us a rational choice within our price range, Nate responded to every one of our questions, helped us focus and order cabinets, hardware, and countertop, and delivered the lot on time; had them installed in a day (we have a sort of basic 10X10X12 U-shape space) and responded immediately when I called to report a burr on a corner cabinet near the stove. Almost a year later, when one of our self-closing drawers didn't close all the way Cabinet Genies sent out a tech within a couple of days and fixed it. He made a simple adjustment to something we didn't know was adjustable. Quickly and efficiently. And he was mighty nice about it. Oh: the cost of the cabinets and quartz countertop was less than the big box convoluted price. Good people! Good work! Love my kitchen.

Houzz was instrumental in helping us choose a designer for our kitchen remodel. We scanned numerous photos and reviews, created an idea book and found four pros to consider. From our first meeting my husband and I were confident that Nate Gaubeart was the consummate professional we wanted to work with to bring our kitchen vision to life. He totally "got" our aesthetic. He was a great listener, was knowledgeable, and dissected the Houzz kitchen photos we shared to make sure the design included all of our requirements. He was tireless in trying to find cabinet finishes that met our taste and would complement our open floor plan. The design process was easy and a true collaboration, the scheduling right on the mark and the installation exacting. Cabinet Genie is a family run business. From our very first meeting, I could tell they take great pride in their work and want to do everything to please the client. It was obvious that they were not new ‘kids on the block’. I showed Nate, the designer, a few photos that I had taken from magazines and he ‘got it’ right away. There was a lot of discussion during the design process to be sure to get it just right. Nate was amazingly patient and had good suggestions and ideas. It isn't too many times that remodeling a kitchen can be described as a pleasure! But from the start of the demo to the final completion of our new kitchen was a truly pleasurable experience. We remodeled our kitchen and three bathrooms on a very tight schedule. Everyone associated with Cabinet Genie was sensitive to the tight time frame and worked to successfully accomplish it for us! The planning phase was thorough and helpful to our zeroing in on what we wanted for cabinets and countertops. The timing of the arrival of the cabinet order and their installation was exactly as hoped and planned. The countertops were immediately templated and installed shortly thereafter. The owners of Cabinet Genie are fully involved and assure that every finish detail is taken care of without delay. Cabinet Genie provides quality products and service and does exactly what they say they will do. They are very good in all regards.

We have built 5 custom homes and approach acquiring a cabinet package with a good deal of knowledge of precisely what we want, particularly in the kitchen. We visited with 3 cabinet providers before happening upon Nate and the Cabinet Genies team. We experienced considerable discouragement with "so-called designers" who were poor listeners, who struggled to use the 20/20 design program,and who ignored the very specific requirements we provided. Nate listened, got the design right the first time, was adept at demonstrating alternatives, and worked hard to meet our budget. He knows his product alternatives well,has a facile contracting process, quotes and meets his timetable, was excellent in interfacing with our very demanding builder, and delivered, installed, and followed up in a very professional, timely and excellent manner. He manages a small team of technically proficient planners and has an installation force that is top-notch. This is a quality company that is in the business for the long haul. Cabinet-Genies is very well named!

Cabinet Genie designed and installed three bathrooms and two kitchens for our family. It is very hard to articulate how well a company does a job unless you know how bad it can go. We have had bad, very, very bad but with Cabinet Genie it was just a pleasure to work with them. Nate and the entire staff are ethical and the ultimate professionals. From the design to the install they were a joy to work with, you simply will not find better. Everyone we came in contact with was extremely helpful. Cabinet Genie is where designers go to look good.

We went to Cabinet Genies for granite countertops for our Master Bath and Lanai. Our cabinets were fine so we were just looking for countertops. CG acted as a go between to Sun Mac who is their Granite fabricator and installer out of Ft. Myers. Sun Mac is great but they don't deal with the public directly so you have to interface with them through CG which is more of a hindrance than a help when you're trying to get your project done. CG took a cut for the referral and all interactions went through them which lead to miscommunications and days worth of delays in getting quotes and questions answered. There are a lot of Granite fabricators on the Cape and Ft. Myers so my advice would be to work with one that deals directly with customers and leave the worthless middle man - out.! Save money... Save time... Save trouble...

Let me start by saying I don't normally write reviews. However, after my repeated first class experiences with Cabinet Genies I felt compelled to do so. First my wife and I entrusted them to design our restaurant. We explained that we were looking for a contemporary, upscale look without a pretentious feel. The end result far surpassed our extremely high expectations. Most recently we entrusted Cabinet Genies to transform our master bath in our home. Again the end result was amazing. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a company with great customer service that delivers every time.

We wanted to replace all our kitchen cabinets with all-wood white shaker style cabinetry. Additionally, we wanted to turn our enclosed lanai into a morning room and add an L-shaped area of cabinetry. Lastly, we wanted custom floor to ceiling cabinets in our laundry room for storage. We got an estimate from one of the major hardware superstores, and asked for estimates from several other companies. One of them never even bothered to return our call. Cabinet Genies did a beautiful job for less than the other estimates, and the installer was genius. Oh, and they clean up after themselves every day! We will hire them again next summer when we remodel our master bathroom.

We remodeled our kitchen, and although we did our own installation (my husband is a carpenter) Cabinet Genies by far helped us to choose the right Cabinets and design to meet our needs and budget. They were also very professional and assured that all our measurements where correct and were there to help us with any questions we had. We have already recommend to other clients. Their customer service is excellent and they truly provide satisfaction in what they do.

New to this area of SW Florida, I wanted to support local businesses and have a local business design and build my outside kitchen. Cape Coral was coming out of the recession and Cabinet Genies had survived this difficult time in a very hard hit city. I thought that must demonstrate their commitment to service and quality. I did not do much comparison shopping because I felt that I had been given a fair price from Cabinet Genies for a quality product that would withstand the rigors of the weather in Florida. Just as promised, the cabinetry and the stove came in on time, but there was a back up in installation dates due to the high number of orders with all of the "snowbirds" making enhancements to their properties. I spoke with Nate and told him that we had a retirement party planned prior to their estimated installation date. Nate realized the importance of the kitchen for the event and coordinated all of the pieces to get the kitchen installed in a couple of days of our conversation. Everyone who then worked on the project was professional, on time and wanted to do a quality installation. I could not have been more impressed! The president of the company was on site to make sure that the work was done according to specifications and I had a followup call by Cabinet Genies within hours of the completion of the project. The kitchen has received compliments by everyone who has seen it. It is rich looking and beautiful and I love it! Well done Cabinet Genie ! from beginning to the END. They did 3 baths, laundry room and enormous kitchen for a brand new construction home. They pulled through at a stressful time. Grateful for all they did to make it all come together. There were a few minor hiccups (but nobody is perfect) the important and best part of it that customer satisfaction is a top priority for them. They did what they needed to do to and worked tirelessly and patiently. Incredible design, awesome color choices on cabinetry, cool built in fridge, and tower in Master bath. Awesome customer service. Easy to speak with in person and on the phone. Did above and beyond to make it all some together. Pricing was also very fair. Nate is honest and a great designer. Custom remodel of entire kitchen in a contemporary home by father/son owner team with 30+ years experience designing and building contemporary kitchens. Friendly, enthusiastic and collaborative approach from outset to completion. Began with creative brainstorm of options converging on a design within our budget where all colors, materials and accessories such as special order backsplash tiles and under-counter lighting worked perfectly together. Spent full day on site doing detailed cabinet and appliances layout in a kitchen that is 'all angles'. Experienced craftsman level team of cabinet makers on staff who were courteous, conscientious and consummate professionals who we came to know as friends as they built out the kitchen on-site in our home. Cost conscious approach where we saved money by refinishing existing Corian counter tops and using their professional connections when purchasing appliances. We had a target deadline before leaving for the summer which they met within budget. We are delighted with our new kitchen and feel their excitement at the outcome is genuine as well. We had mold damage in our kitchen that required base cabinets, granite counter top, drywall and back splash removal and remediation. Once the mold remediation was complete we were left with concrete block wall. Not only were we in need of new base cabinets and refacing of the remaining cabinets we also required a plumber, electrician,drywall,painter, tile and granite person. We hired Cabinet Genies and from that point on there were no worries. We used the construction and granite company that Nate recommended and the process of getting our kitchen back in working order was seamless. Nate was in constant communication with all parties involved and kept the project on schedule. Now, concerning our experience with the cabinets. Nate and Jim were a big help in choosing the right style door to reface with while remaining within our budget. Measuring and installation were meticulous thanks to Jim, Pete and Hugh. We recently utilized Cabinet Genies, Cape Coral, to help us in remodeling our kitchen area. We went to them to discuss replacing our relaminating our existing formica counter tops. End result, without high pressure sales and pricing that could not be beat, we had Cabinet Genies install new granite to our kitchen and exterior bar area. The end result is beautiful. We had a minor adjustment that had to be made afterward on an item not even worth mentioning - BUT the staff at Cabinet Genies took it very seriously and made sure that it was taken care of to our satisfaction and within a couple of days. I don't usually write these reviews but this was such a pleasant experience and an excellent example of "Good Customer Service" that I wanted to. I contacted Cabinet Genies to remodel my master bathroom. The remodel consisted of removing the old cabinetry, sink, faucet and mirror and replace it with a new vanity with granite countertop that also included a new sink and mirror. My consultation and planning meetings went very smoothly with Nate and came well within my planned budget The cabinets he recommended was a relatively new line and they are beautiful and a quality product! He was very respectful and I immediately felt comfortable with his experience, expertise and ability to fully understand how the finished product would look and feel. Nate and the entire staff were professional and very accommodating. The entire remodel was hassle free and Cabinet Genies did all the scheduling for the cabinet, granite and sink and faucet installation. Every step of the installation was done professionally and was literally perfect in every way. I LOVE my new bathroom and would not hesitate to refer my friends and those I meet. I plan on remodeling my guest bath and kitchen and will definitely give my business to Cabinet Genies when the time comes. Job well done!

Dealing with Nate Gaubert for our kitchen reno was seamless. He recommended the contractor and generally made the whole project flow. We had a very tight timeline and it was met and then some. Cabinets originally ordered were changed per his recommendation to a better line. Installation went well with only one door needing replacing. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cabinet Genies to anyone. In fact, we already have. And they will be installing a new vanity in our master bath this fall.

We remodeled our pool area and decided to put in an outdoor kitchen. I did a lot of research online and knew I wanted a cabinet structure with a good quality grill. Cabinet Genie fit the bill with a Napoleon Grill and excellent polymer outdoor cabinets. When we found Cabinet Genie, we knew we were in good hands. Nate listened to our needs and provided a plan that worked well in our space. Jim led the project and accommodated our buildout schedule. The installation crew was meticulous and our kitchen is beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone. After seeing our job, my neighbor has contracted with Jim and Nate to install new cabinets in their lanai.

They corrected problems caused by a previous contractor in our master bath: then they refaced and installed new granite in our two guest baths. They arrived when promised, and completed the job on time. They called to see if i was pleased and if i had any issues. They were prompt, courteous, efficient, and neat.
