Danica is immensely talented and truly a pleasure to work with. We started collaborating on the project prior to finalizing the architectural drawings which turned out to be a blessing as she made some wonderful modifications to the plans (e.g., shifting a powder room to a different location and adding a water closet). She was very accommodating as many of the selections (e.g., stone, countertops, cabinetry, appliances, plumbing fixtures, flooring) were sourced from vendors in Lancaster County and she made time to visit those showrooms with me. The “modern/rustic” motif she envisioned came together beautifully as evidenced by the jaw-dropping compliments from all who attended the housewarming party –especially the eye-popping LED backlit Cristallo kitchen island countertop! Despite the rapid pace at which the builder moved, Danica always made timely suggestions and decisions (e.g. paint colors, chandelier, furniture selections, etc.). Her attention to detail is impeccable and she transitions seamlessly between the details and her big picture vision. In summary, Danica’s calm approach made my first-time home building journey significantly less overwhelming and I would highly recommend her for your project!

We had two outdated, not well maintained bathrooms in our home that needed updating. Danica came highly recommended and did a terrific job of designing our bathrooms and making them more functional, modern and beautiful. The folks she selected to do the work were all fantastic as well. We would enthusiastically recommend her and as we think about other things we want to do with our home, we will certainly plan on working with her again.

I purchased an older row home in Philadelphia that had lovely details but was also dark and at first felt like it was too old and too much. Danica turned the house into something light, lively, comfortable and fun. She changed the wall colors, all of the lighting and window treatments then helped select wonderful art for throughout. She dreamed up a new look and new cabinets for a section of the kitchen that fit in perfectly with the pre-existing kitchen space and makes it so useable every day. She selected furniture that is beautiful in every room and super comfortable. She is a joy to work with and truly professional in her roles both as designer and project manager with all of the contractors coming on site.

The finished result is beautiful! Custom designed fireplace, completely redesigned kitchen and amazing furniture and lighting. Amazing design style and taste.

Danica has been exceptional to work with both her creative eye and her demeanor. She has strong intuition around maximizing space and making recommendations on things that one wouldn't have decided without her input. I would use her hands down for any project.

I am a guy. I am also an older guy who likes to stay in his lane. My wife started "encouraging" me to renovate the kitchen a few years ago, and although I have watched, not always by choice, plenty of HGTV, I have not been so impressed with the featured renovations that I jumped at the opportunity. Then came Danica. My wife, who has a really good eye, saw her Houzz pages, and knew right away that Danica would be great to design the new kitchen. Which, of course, turned into new floors in another room, a renovation of the first floor office, a renovated powder room, a couple of openings between rooms being significantly widened, etc. All par for the course. But, with the project now 96% complete, it is unbelievable. The kitchen, in particular, is both peaceful and beautiful. It functions incredibly well. The cabinetry is first rate and so well placed. Every choice my wife made resulted solely from first rate options and alternatives presented by Danica. Two of Danica's excellent bonuses, in addition to her sense of design, is her responsiveness and her recommended contractors. The latter worked, under the overall direction of general contractor Matt McGonigle (mcgoniglebuilders.com) in close coordination with Danica, on tightly adhered-to schedules, and did excellent work. The foreman on our project, Ryan, is a highly skilled finish carpenter, and suggested and designed cabinets for the home office that he built from scratch and turned out wonderfully. That is just one example of the creativity that everyone brought to the job. Can I gush much more? Probably not. Worth every dollar and then some.

Danica is absolutely amazing. Her interior designs are breathtaking! She has impeccable taste and cares about your project as much as you do. Everyone always asks me who I used. She is also a pleasure to work with. By far the best designer I have ever worked with.

As a picture framer I work with many decorators, but none as talented as Danica. She is extremely creative with so much vision and drive to create the perfect home for her clients. She is a true professional with a calm disposition, focus and decisiveness that can be comforting at a time when there are so many decisions to be made. She is always prompt and organized for every meeting and a true pleasure to work with.

We recently did a complete kitchen remodel with Danica and are very happy with the results. Danica was easy to work with and she has very good instincts. She is also responsive and got back to us on a timely basis. Selecting from the many options for home design is quite challenging for me, but Danica really simplified the process and made me comfortable narrowing down the options. She also had a nice way of steering me away from things that I ultimately would have regreted. In addition, she was good at problem solving when we hit a small road block. Ultimately we have the kitchen we wanted and enjoy it everyday.

I own a 115 year old Victorian that had only one bathroom and a kitchen that was held together by duct tape. My goal was to add a powder room to the 1st floor and gut & bump out the footprint of my kitchen. Danica helped me find an architect and a builder, both of whom were wonderful to work with. She also worked up the design, picked out materials and helped coordinate the project. I now have an amazing kitchen & first floor powder room that feels like it is just how the house always should have been. Without Danica I am not sure any of this would have happened and I love passing on her name to anyone looking to take on home projects!

Danica is top notch. After reviewing a few pictures of rooms that we Iiked, she quickly developed a keen sense of our style and presented us with fabric and furniture suggestions that we loved but would never have been able to put together ourselves. She has excellent taste. Everything she puts together is so elegant and well done. When Danica arrived we had some floor plans from a kitchen store designer and ideas of taking down walls and moving other rooms but were not within our budget. Danica came in and came up with a completely different floor plan that was both functional for our family and ideal with the style of our house. She helped guide us in decisions based on our budget, space and style. We are very happy with the end result and would hire Danica again.

Danica has been an integral part of the first floor renovation we are wrapping up and she has been a pleasure to work with. We stripped the entire first floor of our home down to the studs and also finished our basement. When we hired Danica in the spring, I was feeling completely overwhelmed. Fabulous decorator-Danica gets me! I have worked with other interior design firms and architects and most recently have had an outstanding experience with Danica! It started in 2014 where she helped build the bones of my new home by helping me pick surfaces, design elements, flooring, etc to capture the energy and ambience I was aspiring to. I came from a larger home and had favorite furniture pieces and artwork. She helped integrate those into the new home after my fall move-in date. Danica is working on the interior design of our home we are building in Breckenridge, Colorado. I asked Danica to create a softer dimension to our home which we are having built with raw steel beams, timbers and walls of jacket board. I am so amazed with the furniture and art she has chosen to go in our home! DBD/Designs by Danica - Danica redesigned my living room and dining rooms. She added beautiful wainscoting, crown molding, elegant window treatments and sparkling chandelier in the formal dining room. In the living room, Danica reconfigured the fireplace w/ beautiful wood trim and Emperador marble tile, installed crown molding and selected rugs, furniture, paint colors and window treatments to create a beautiful, warm comfortable living space. She truly listened to our preferences, has a great eye for color and we couldn't be happier.

Danica worked with us to redesign and update the two rooms we spend the most time in as a family......the kitchen and family room. Overall can pick out beautiful materials and had enjoyed working on previous projects however on recent project was not able to stay in discussed budget. Did not receive feedback well when I was not happy with certain colors and materials. Made it difficult to make returns and correct the errors.

Danica has been a long time friend of mine and sometimes it's difficult to work with friends. Not the case with Danica. She is very easy and pleasant to work with. She is efficient, timely and professional. I have never seen her lose her temper or sense of professionalism. She always takes the customers concerns into account. She also has a great balance of being both practicality and style when it comes to furniture. She as worked on various rooms in my home and we are thrilled with all of the work she has done.
