We began the process to use Ryan for our Kitchen redo. Initially he was responsive and we were excited to use him based on reviews and seeing his previous projects. We provided him a $3000 retainer to complete an initial plan. We didn't not like it, provided feedback. We never heard from him again. We sent several follow up emails, even requesting a response to back out of the project. Never heard back. Thankfully we just lost $3000 and learned early that he wasn't for us.

After almost a year, I still walk into my kitchen stop, look around, and smile. Emery Design was stellar, I would hire them again and again and encourage friends and family to check them out for any home project. Ryan and his team are trustworthy, professional, very knowledgeable, immensely creative--they are passionate about what they do and it shows in every detail. Their craftsmanship is second to none. I can't thank them enough for surpassing all my expectations and creating our dream kitchen!

Ryan Emery and his team at Emery Design & Woodwork, were great to work with. They created an awesome living space out of our previously unfinished basement. Emery Design & Woodwork remodeled our kitchen and guest bath. Ryan's eye for design is rare. We interviewed several designers and Ryan was the only one to truly think out of the box. We were very fortunate to be referred to Emery Design & Woodwork, who helped us to design and build the kitchen of our dreams. Ryan's knowledge and creativity were evident from the first time we met, and we ultimately decided he was a good fit for our project. He started our project on time, and it was completed within the timelines we initially discussed. From start to finish, we were continuously impressed with his employees and subcontractors. All were knowledgeable, courteous, and trustworthy, showed up on time and worked hard. Our kitchen project was complete in the fall of 2015. A couple of incidental things have come up since, and Ryan has always been easy to get a hold of and helped us to resolve the issues. Over a year later and we still love our amazing kitchen as much as we did the day it was complete. His design and workmanship are impeccable and to know that he stands behind his work gives us additional peace of mind. We are planning on finishing our basement within the next year or so and fully intend on using Emery Design & Woodwork to help us with this project as well. Ryan and his team are the best!

My family was very pleased with the craftsmanship and professionalism of Emery Design and Woodwork. We hired them to design, build and install cabinets and a gas stone fireplace in our living room. Ryan worked with us to hone our vision, combining our aesthetic with the aesthetic of our historic home. Excellent. I hired Ryan Emery for a complete kitchen remodel and great room fireplace replacement. I am pretty picky on the details both from project planning/timing to the quality of work. Emery did not disappoint in any way, everything from the initial design, electrical, wall removal, custom cabinets was done to perfection and regularly receive complements from any one who walks in. I do not give reviews normally however I would not hesitate to recommend Emery for any job.

I have done three home projects with Emery Design & Woodwork. I was first drawn to their company after seeing the excellent results in a friend's home. The attention to detail and execution created a beautiful space. I had met with a few other contractors before finding Ryan and his team. Ryan listened to what I wanted and then took my ideas and expanded on them, bringing a creativity to the project that I just don't have. Some ideas worked, some didn't. The important part was the collaboration that resulted in a plan that works for our home and looks great! We now have updated bathrooms and kitchen that look great and are more functional. Had our kitchen completely redone. LOVE IT! Ryan and his staff were great! They listened and worked with us on a design, and the installation and quality is excellent! Having our master bath redone this winter and Emery Design will be doing it!

We had Ryan design and built us a new island and desk/cabinet for our kitchen. He is a Wonderful craftsman, a pleasure to work with. Really pays attention to detail and a true artist with cabinetry. Both units were custom built of the finest materials and the finish work is gorgeous. Will definitely use for future projects and will recommend to friends. Ryan wants the customer to be satisfied and goes the extra mile to ensure the customer is pleased with the end result. He exceeded our expectations with our new cabinets! Also, he is on time with his project and is the quickest installer and remover I have ever met, and our family was in the building industry for many years. We also had a flooring issue we were unaware of that he helped us quickly solve even though it was not a part of the project. Everything about this project was overwhelmingly positive. We are really happy with our new island and desk/cabinet and look forward to working with him again on future projects in our home.

It was a complete remodel of kitchen and master bath. Both areas came out beautiful. Emery Design was very professional and respectful. Their work is high quality and they take pride in their work.

I hired Ryan and his company to completely remodel my lower level (including extensive woodwork, fireplace, bar, half bath and workout room.) He did a phenomenal job. His creativity and professionalism are second to none. Consequently, I hired him again to remodel my first floor (including removal of walls, updated fireplace surround, extensive moldings/columns/wainscoting, new mudroom and staircase bannister.) which resulted in another jewel. My home is transformed. I will work with Ryan again in the future. The project date and cost below reflect the update to my first floor.

We are very happy to have had the pleasure of working with Emery Design & Woodwork for several months during our extensive home renovation. Ryan Emery is not only a talented designer, he is also a fantastic craftsman, a wonderful person, and a very reliable project manager. If there were any problems at all during the renovations, Ryan would work very hard to see that they were corrected in a timely manner. Everyone who worked on his team was experienced, considerate, and a joy to have in our home. We're more than happy with the end results, and would absolutely look forward to working with him again. We hired Ryan and his crew to completely remodel our master bath, bedroom and closet. We presented them with a concept and they perfectly brought the idea to completion. We hired Emery Design and Woodwork to do a total (down to the studs) kitchen and laundry room renovation. Project included several design options and discussions to ensure our wishes and expectations were incorporated. All workers from Emery and trades used by them were very professional and respectful. We were very pleased with the entire experience--so much so, we have recommended them to others and are considering a family room remodel with Emery Design and Woodwork.

Very nice custom work. Job was completed when promised. Will be difficult to find anyone better or less expensive. There is no reason to contact anyone else.

My project was a renovation due to water damage, destroying my kitchen and family room, which at the beginning seemed overwhelming but Ryan listened to my wants and ideas and then made them happen. He was easy to work with, always on time, and a true craftsman.

Ryan Emery and his crew were excellent. The job was competed on time and slightly under budget. Ryan provided the creative designs, demolition of the existing infrastructure, rough carpentry, finished carpentry, custom tile work including intricate stone flooring, shower, wine cellar and unique hand made stone wall surrounding a new fireplace. Also included in the project was a custom stairway, drop down ceiling projector screen, custom home theater and cabinetry, custom panelled walls, coffered ceiling, custom made 900 bottle wine cellar racking, including custom curved ceiling and flooring mouldings, and complete custom 20 foot bar with arches, ornate columns, tinted mirrors, custom tin ceiling, commercial coolers, 8 different beers on tap, freezers, ice maker, dishwasher, custom lighting and more. Ryan also managed the heating and cooling, plumbing, electrical, custom painting and staining, and all his other highly skilled, polite and professional tradesmen from start to finish. The end result far exceeded our expectations. It was truly a pleasure working with Ryan and his team. I highly recommend Emery Design and Woodwork.

Ryan Emery is by far the best professional I have worked with. He is creative and incredibly hard working. He was able to bring innovative ideas that transformed our space. The quality and finsh of Ryan's work is outstanding and he ensures that the same quality is applied by all the contractors he is working with. I have used Ryan for four major projects in my hoime, referred him to numerous friends, although his work essentially sells itself, and would no hesitate to have him work on my next project.

Emery Design & Woodwork (Ryan and his team) did an outstanding job on our stairway remodel!!! We went from drab white spindles & boring carpet to fab rod iron spindles and solid hardwood stairs. :) They were very polite, timely, courteous, conscientious, and paid great attention to detail. They finished the project in the time they promised (major bonus!). If we had questions they took the time to make sure we were satisfied. Ryan was always available to answer our questions and hear our suggestions (and, believe me, we are very particular with our home!). Last minute changes weren't an issue for this team - they really wanted to make the customer happy (and they definitely did!). :) Bottom line - they were fabulous to work with and our stairway is now transformed into a lovely showcase!!! :) Thanks again, Ryan and team, you guys are true professionals!!! :)
