We had a fabulous experience working with Fernando’s. Paula was so helpful in picking out our stone which we love. And the install, which was a bit complex, went very smoothly. It was our second time doing a kitchen renovation and using Fernando’s and recommend them highly!

Everyone at Fernando’s was a pleasure to work with, especially Paula and Richard, and they did a fabulous job with our soapstone kitchen counters and backsplashes. They were always quick to respond to our questions and made the entire process easy and enjoyable. When we had a minor issue during installation, Richard dropped everything and came to our house to work things out entirely to our satisfaction. As he told me, “There are no problems, only solutions,” and he and the entire team proved that at every turn. I can’t recommend Fernando’s strongly enough - they are wonderful and do amazing work!

Short version: Nancy and the Fernando's Marble Shop Team are fantastic. Excellent experience from start to finish. Longer version: We built a new home and our builder had us working with the team at Fernando's. We started with a visit during the pandemic and Nancy was very accommodating on schedule and well prepared on safety measures. Great selection and a very helpful process. Nancy quickly understood our design style and helped us dial in on the look we wanted. Informative, helpful, beyond friendly, and great product and service. Excellent communication from selection to fabrication to installation and happy to answer questions afterward. We ended up going back to Fernando's when two countertops that came with floating vanities didn't quite work out, and ended up finding a couple of amazing remnants that look much better than that what the other folks were providing. I recommend Nancy and Fernando's with zero reservations. Go see them!

We had a great experience with Fernando's. Nancy was very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. We used a combination of remnants and whole slabs and her advice was very valuable. She delivered samples to our home, priced out multiple options for us to consider and we are very happy with our final product. Working with Nancy and her team was as easy at it could be in building a home.

Not only did they live up to their stellar reputation, they exceeded it. Everyone I dealt with, from Nancy in the front office to the installer who spent the day wrapping my kitchen in the most beautiful marble, was professional from start to finish. I wish I was able to give them five more stars. They are the best!

Until I visited Fernando's I did not understand the difference in stone suppliers--this family owned business (started by Fernando 30+ years ago)--is top of the heap. They only purchase beautiful slabs, they attend to every detail in how the cut it so the patterns run correctly and look beautiful and seamless, they note details in your kitchen/bath that could be problematic so you can correct and are not disappointed in how the stone lays and the install is impeccable. They are incredibly wonderful to work with and creative. I have bought stone from a number of places in the past--these folks truly know what they are doing and the results were stunning.

We got our countertops from FMS for our new kitchen. Nancy was terrific. I spoke to her to explain what i was looking for and when i went in to meet her, she had prepared several samples. She made it so easy for me. She called distributors, allowing me to go to them to look at the slabs before they went to FMS. When they were ready to cut the slabs, i went back to FMS to see where they were marking the slab to be cut. I had plenty of questions and she was more than prompt and helpful in answering. Their prices were reasonable. In short, it was a terrific experience and i highly recommend them.

On the referral of our kitchen designer we contacted Fernando's to do the countertops for our kitchen renovation. To offset the colorful patchwork tile floor we wanted black granite countertops and Mario, Fernando's son in this friendly family business, was very helpful in discussing the options, and he offered us firm estimates for both Lisbon black and honed absolute black. We chose the latter and he came to take the precise measurements for the countertops around the range, the sink, the island and a separate "bar" area. Delivery was amazingly quick -- within a week -- and crew was efficient and helpful in installing the countertops, which were flawlessly, and sinks, including mounting braces on the island to support a counter overhang. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and gave us a first-class product that works wonderfully well with the other elements of the kitchen.

I've utilized Fernando's twice now to select, cut and install granite countertops in our Townhouse and now our new home we moved to in Rockville. They are great! I visited multiple marble and granite shops in the area and they either didn't have what we wanted, needed to send the stone away to be fabricated or were just overall unpleasant to work with. Fernando's has an amazing selection of any stone you can think and better yet they fabricate and cut the stone to your liking ON THE SPOT! In addition, working with their sales consultants is great, they are kind and knowledgable and treat you with respect. Their installers are also prompt, kind and courteous as well when delivering and installing the stone. In my opinion Fernando's is the way to go for any of your stone fabrication needs.
