Tom and his team inherited a difficult job. The water remediation company suggested by insurance completely bungled their job and nearly destroyed our bathroom. Tom made it right by realistically budgeting the project, finding the right materials and subcontractors, giving the job his personal attention and QC, and seeing it to a successful, satisfactory conclusion. He handled permits and had the professionalism and courage of his convictions to say "you're not going to be happy with that" when I suggested possibly cutting corners. Now, with a very nice and solid shower installation I enjoy every day, I'm very glad for his guidance and quality work. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for high quality and very competent work.

We fully endorse Bay Bathrooms & Kitchens! From the beginning, its owner Tom Todd and journeyman Felipe took the reigns of our bathroom remodel project. To start, Tom prepared estimates that were built from a vision of our bathroom’s style, budget, and needs for my disability as well as meeting code regulations. With his book of photos of hardware and material; we literally could visualize our options and price points. He took the time to explain issues, concerns, warranties, and questions in layman’s terms. From the moment we accepted his estimate, Tom and company owned the project completely. He communicated throughout the project, oversaw the timing and usage of subcontractors, helped us pass strict city inspections, and troubleshoot and bring up to code unexpected issues caused by un-permitted projects by prior owners. He gave advanced notice of when key decisions were needed to be made by us to stay on track (e.g paint and hardware selection). Tom sequenced the small jobs that make up the big job perfectly. During the entire process, Felipe was at the job site everyday, on-time reporting issues and advancing the project’s progress each day. He always spent a significant amount of time on building prep and ended the day with thorough clean-up; ensuing the house was left clean and in useable/ live-able condition. Tom always began the day with, “What are your concerns? What questions can we address for you?” Mainly he was present in-person; he was always reachable1. Tom continually helped us make decisions efficiently; keeping in mind our initial vision and budget, actively narrowing our choices to what was most feasible to keep us on schedule and successful. Overall, we found the remodel project of our bathrooms night and day from 10 years ago. Tom and Felipe were very friendly, and personable. They blended into our family’s needs, lifestyle and schedule; they indulged the curiosity of our 6 year old and coddled our sick, anxious yorkie. We never found ourselves feeling uncomfortable; their meticulousness and attention to detail was, in a word, reassuring. From beginning to end, we were satisfied. We trusted Bay Bathrooms & Kitchens, their suppliers, and subcontractors. They looked after our home like it was their own, when we weren’t present. Bay Bathrooms & Kitchens did an amazing job, kept their promises, and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Most importantly, they accommodated for my disability throughout, working around my doctors’ appointments and physical therapy. Our bathrooms were remodeled in as little as two weeks and are in our opinion are very Pinterest worthy; we definitely would use them again in the future!

We were having a problem with several outlets that were not working, and were unable to fix them ourselves. Tom very efficiently found the electrical short, after thoroughly examining the attic and under the house. After fixing the problems, he professionally explained other issues he found in the wiring, and made recommendations to upgrade the ancient wiring. He did a great job! After Tom did such an excellent job on our first job with him in Dec 2016, we hired him again to do three more jobs for us in March 2017. The first job was to resolve electrical permit issues with ceiling fans previously installed in an apartment building. He installed the correct materials in the ceiling to the building inspector's satisfaction. Next, we needed to update 9 electrical sub panels with larger panels. This job went off without a hitch, with minimal disruption to the tenants. The walls were so professionally patched, taped, textured, and re-painted, that one cannot tell that any work was done to the area! This project passed electrical inspection the first time around. Finally, we needed a 4 x 4 foot section of wall removed and replaced in the laundry room. Again, the work was done so well, that one cannot see where the repair was made. Tom also noted some code problems, and repaired a gas line, and did other minor repairs, plus hung a cabinet. It was very helpful that he is a former building inspector, who is very knowledgeable about city codes. These last three jobs cost over $10,000. and were efficiently completed over about 2 weeks.

Bay Bathrooms and Kitchens did an excellent job on a recent emergency repair. They were prompt with the estimate. Every step and cost was fully explained. The crew arrived right on time and diligently worked until he project was complete. The work was completed ahead of time and under budget. The cleanup was meticulous, I highly recommend Tom Todd and Bay Bathrooms.

I worked with Tom Todd, owner of Bay Bathrooms, on a bath remodel undertaken by another company. I can honestly say Tom saved my project and my sanity. Tom was a building inspector, so he knows the codes and he has contacts for other experts as needed. Tom cares about his clients, and listens carefully to concerns. He communicates well, making sure that changes and problems are addressed as they arise, and work is executed to client satisfaction. I recommend Tom for any remodeling work you are planning.

We just had two bathrooms remodel. We are extremely please with the results. Tom was easy and flexible to work with. If you are looking for a contractor to remodel your bathroom. I definitely would recommend Bay Bathrooms! You won't be disappointed!

One of the most difficult things about doing any kind of renovation is finding the right contractor to perform the project. Well, if you are reading this review - STOP LOOKING - you've found the right guy for the job! This was our first major renovation and Tom at Bay Bathrooms was great about helping us get through the process from picking out the right tile to bathroom fixtures. He and his team were both punctual and professional. When the tub installation took a little bit longer than anticipated Tom and his team worked longer hours so that they could stick to the timeline they had promised. We appreciate his thoroughness and attention to detail. The bathtub and tile work is beautiful and we can't wait to start the next project.

This is a Team of Experienced Professionals that are pleasant, patient and knowledgeable in all aspects of construction and remodeling. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! THE ISSUE. My (just 4 year old) walk-in shower stall was built incorrectly (unlicensed contractors). They cut out important steps necessary to build a shower correctly and had used a liquid membrane instead of a shower pan that eventually leaked from the seams, swelled and made the shower floor crack and bulge. Bay Bathrooms completely removed the old shower stall to the studs, assessed the damage, which thank goodness was not structural. Then they rebuilt it the correct way! THE PROPOSAL. Tom Todd, Owner of Bay Bathrooms, had a clearly written Proposal with every single detail written out and explained. He took the time to review each item leaving nothing unexplained or unclear. THE DEMO. A tunnel was erected and taken apart each day there is "dust" made. I can honestly say that there was not a spec anywhere in my house except for the tunnel and the shower area. AMAZING! THE BUILD. First the walls and window were brought up to code (passed inspection). Then they completely rebuilt an amazing, beautiful shower. Each day Tom reviews what would be done, and at the end of the day, went over each detail for my approval. If I was not pleased with anything, then they would accommodate the change. Needless to say, I have absolutely nothing bad I could say. This shower was built perfectly! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I will most definitely use Tom Todd, Felipe and Bay Bathroom for all my future remodeling projects. They are not limited to just bathrooms; they are experts in many remodeling/construction projects.
