KRB Kitchen and Bath Design Center

We have hired KRB twice, once for a tv room remodel and once for a major kitchen remodel (actually most of the first floor), and would highly recommend them. They have all the staff necessary to: design and plan the remodel, get structural engineering plans, building permits, estimate costs, and then make the plan a reality. Any sub-contractors are fully supervised and corrected as necessary. For example, our countertop contractors were balking at how tight a radius some of the corners were planned to be, the owner of KRB got them to remove the countertops again and buy the right tooling to cut the planned corner radius. This level of attention to detail has be prevalent throughout our experiences with KRB.

We recently finished our 3-month first-floor remodel, including the kitchen, bathroom, and so much more. The team at KRB did an amazing job of bringing our vision to life and creating a space that is both functional and beautiful. Everyone we worked with at KRB was professional, prompt, and always available to answer any questions we had. The attention to detail was impressive, from the custom cabinetry to the perfect tile choices, and glamorous lighting. The finished result is a kitchen and bathroom that not only looks great but exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend KRB to anyone looking to update their space.

KRB redesigned and constructed our new kitchen. The owner and designer, Kevin Roy, is extremely talented and did an amazing job with our kitchen design. His team is very professional and attentive and even after completion of the project, KRB has come back to make some minor adjustments. We wanted to thank the KRB Team for their work on our master bathroom. The final result was beyond our expectations. An amazing transformation from what was aptly described as "the cave". All aspects of the work - from design and construction to final glass installation - was managed professionally with attention given to ensure customer satisfaction. The project was not without it's challenges. The custom glass shower provided some unexpected issues. But the team stuck with it and resolved the situation to our satisfaction. Kevin was our designer and presented us with a beautiful kitchen design by combining 2 small rooms; the original tiny kitchen and a small dining room. He relocated the diniing room by opening up a wall adjacent to the original tiny kitchen. It was a challenging project because our house is 2 small old houses (1700’s and mid 1800’s) joined together by an 18” wall that needed to be removed to create the open concept. We did run into a few challenges with leveling floors and ceiling heights, but Kevin’s collaboration with his skilled on-site construction manager solved those issues. They also had to renovate a small bathroom that was connected to the new dining room and move it’s door to a hallway. I have described all of this to give potential clients the scope of our project and the assurance that the KRB staff is friendly, very skilled and seamlessly works together to give you the kitchen and bath of your dreams.

We are loving our beautiful new kitchen! Kevin, Heidi, Trent, Carrie and the rest of the staff at KRB Kitchen and Design Center facilitated a unique and personalized process, from the initial visit to our home to the completion of the project. We were carefully guided through design, products selection, and scheduling, and the project was kept on time even with some unforeseen glitches. We LOVE our KRB kitchen! After years of dreaming about a new kitchen, Kevin designed the perfect layout for our family. He combined our kitchen and living areas to create the most beautiful entertaining space. The vendors KRB works with are top-notch. We went with Harmoni cabinets and the workmanship is amazing. We are also pleased Kevin suggested the Galley workstation. It is so efficient and I can’t imagine cooking/prepping food without it! Trent was extremely professional and organized when dealing with shipments and payments. The attention to detail was much-appreciated. We knew we were going with the BEST when we chose KRB because Kevin designed our mudroom several years ago. Prior to our kitchen remodel, the mudroom was our favorite room in the house! You won’t be sorry if you choose KRB for your next project!

We did a complete kitchen and bath demo and remodel. As well as having a porch finished off and misc other whole house upgrades. Job started right on time and kept to schedule. Workers were on time and left the site cleaned up every night. Budget was pretty damn close to spot on. With the system they use use, you know what you're paying at all times. Changes and upgrades are easy and you know the costs up front. Excellent finance/project system. Kevin and his crew are a pleasure to work with and stand behind their work. Very happy customers.

From initial consultation to final walk through, the professionals at KRB were great to work with. From design options for our new kitchen and master suite, to materials selection, through installation, the entire KRB team was responsive to our needs, budget and design changes. Kevin’s designs were outstanding creating an open concept, front to back kitchen and living space. Hiedi was very patient with us and did a great job helping us select the best materials for the design. Finally Bob and the construction staff were friendly, responsive and communicated very well. Their work was top notch. Most importantly, we came in slightly under our planned budget. We’ve already recommended KRB to family.

I worked with KRB on my kitchen remodel, and it couldn't be a more pleasant experience! I performed the renovation myself, but I purchased my materials (cabinets, flooring, back-splash, sink, etc) through KRB, and they did an exceptional job of making sure everything would fit properly and went together stylistically. The owner of the company even came out to my house to verify all my cabinets would fit before placing the order. The quality and range of materials is much better and so much more varied than what you will find at the big box stores. And the in-house designers do a wonderful job of listening to what you like, and coming up with nice recommendations. I cannot recommend KRB enough for a remodel, whether doing it yourself, or having them do the labor, it is a really fun, easy and pleasant experience!

We bought a house that needed a total remodel in July 2018, including multiple walls removed, new kitchen, 3 bathrooms, whole house interior painting, new wood floors throughout. Before we even closed, I wanted to get a full service company on board to do the work as quickly, and skillfully, as possible. I chose KRB because they were able to do everything from kitchen and bath design to full general contracting. I really liked their process, which is specified very clearly on their website. We worked together to come up with the design, full scope of the project, etc. We worked back and forth on our various options to try to balance budget and design options. Once we made final decisions, the budget was set and the only variations during or after construction were due to either a) design changes my husband and I wanted or b) a few rather minor scope changes because of unknowns once the walls were opened. Once you agree to the design and budget KRB does everything they can to stick to it and they did a great job. KRB was able to complete our rather large project in a rather short amount of time- 3 months from start of construction to finish! They had us in by Christmas. The communication during construction was excellent, as they assign a project manager who is in constant communication. The work they did is absolutely beautiful. They obviously have a real pride in workmanship. I can't rave enough about how beautiful our house is! You really can't go wrong in choosing KRB.

We used KRB for a HUGE project, and they exceeded every expectation we had! Over the course of 3 month project, they were constantly on time, ahead of schedule, up front and honest with every little detail, professional, and met every deadline. KRB exceeded our expectations from the minute we walked into the showroom right up until the project was completed. It is worth every penny to have KRB do your home projects. Kevin is a brilliant designer with a keen eye on details and making space the best it can be. We have a galley workstation that has transformed our kitchen and allows my husband and I to cook together so comfortably. Tony kept the projects moving right along and was a great communicator. My wife and I recently purchased a new home (well, actually it’s 18 years old) and we realized before the purchase that some “updating”, which is a euphemism for total demolition, was necessary in the 3 bathrooms and the kitchen. (We are convinced that some of the bathroom fixtures came over on the Mayflower.) Anyway, we started looking through home stores, magazines and such to get ideas and determined pretty much what we had in mind for the “renovations”. The next step was determining a budget. We read all the information we could find on the websites, went to the usual “kitchen and bath” shops to get some preliminary figures to work with and we got a sense of what we wanted and roughly determined what would be within our budget. We set a number and were resolved to stick to it. Finally, we started looking for a contractor that would do the entire job for us. We lost some sleep over this step as we had heard many times how difficult it sometimes was to find reliable contractors. Also, a friend of ours just went through a nightmarish experience hiring separate companies for each step of her kitchen remodeling project. We didn’t want any part of that fiasco so it was determined that we wanted 1 company to do the whole job; from planning to final clean up. We assembled a list of reputable companies nearby that offered this complete service (there weren’t many) and finally we were ready to begin our hunt for the right company for our epic adventure. KRB Kitchen and Bath Remodeling Center was first on our list. It was well rated and being located in Stratham, NH, it was close by so we began our quest there. We quickly realized that we truly had lucked out and our quest ended right there! Upon our initial visit, we were warmly greeted by Trent Roy, the son of the owner, Kevin Roy. He (Trent) explained how the company works on renovation projects and we provided him with a general sense of what we had in mind. We then set up an appointment with Kevin to come and view the fiasco, I mean “project”. Kevin came to our home shortly thereafter and after his assessment, we met 3 times in his company office/showroom, gave him our budget figures and things began very quickly to take shape. To say that Kevin is organized, to the point and “knows his stuff” is an understatement. There was so much to choose from in so many shapes, colors and styles and sizes for tiles, cabinets, plumbing fixtures, counter tops and so on but Kevin guided us through each category and we were able to make selections that we were excited about. He always kept our budget in mind and was exceedingly helpful in guiding us to excellent selections that met our needs, taste and our budget. What I thought was going to be a difficult and lengthy process was amazingly simple (other than a few yucky choices that my wife made which I had to “veto” (and I still bear the scars). We selected everything we needed, 1 room at a time and after 3 sessions in the showroom, over the next few weeks, all was decided. Kevin was meticulous in tweaking out even the littlest details for us and not long after our decisions were made, everything was ordered and we were scheduled for the “big adventure”. Our greatest fear was that life would be havoc. We had to remain in the home while the project was underway. This is where the heavens opened up and the miracle occurred. Each stage was meticulously planned and scheduled and our ability to live comfortably in our home while floors and walls were being torn down around us was always of concern to the workers. This was no easy feat as our kitchen is basically the center of the home and to access the stairs to the basement, the front door (and the door from the garage as well) were smack in the middle of everything. The crew devised a plan providing pathways so that when new tile was being put down, we could always get around it on the existing tile or new tile that had been already set and dried. It was a logistic miracle. There was always at least 1 fully functional bathroom so there were no problems with “that sort of thing”. No time was wasted and there was never any downtime between jobs. We have never met a nicer and more competent group of plumbers, tilers, painters, electricians, countertop installers, general contractors or plasterers. We even bonded with the dumpster and Porta-Potty in the front yard: lovely shades of blue and green. The entire crew worked together flawlessly. I need to re-emphasize that there was no dead time between each part of the project. Someone was ALWAYS here working and often there were “several someones” working here. What a great bunch of guys and ladies! At the end of each day, we were given a menu of what would happen the following day so we knew what to expect. The job progressed at an excellent pace and began to take shape quite quickly and we were only minimally inconvenienced throughout the entire project. THAT was a miracle in itself. When the job was done, cleanup was thorough and there was hardly a sign that the house had been a beehive of activity and “a bit cluttered” just a short time earlier. If there was a 1 to 10 grading scale for KRB Kitchen and Bath Remodeling with 10 being the best, I would have to rate them as a 72! Everything went RIGHT! There were no hassles, no “no-shows”, no delays, the people were incredibly competent, courteous and friendly, the work was done right the first time, there were no “oh-oh” moments nor unexpected “surprises”, and professionalism was apparent at every part of the project. I would like to express particular thanks to Rich, the man in charge on site who handled so much of the project and to Eric whose tile work was done with so much care. Bob, the Foreman deserves a big hand too for his efforts at making everything happen so well! Three very loud cheers for Trent and Kevin as well. Job well done! Are we happy, you ask? Absolutely! My only regret is that now, with everything looking so nice, I have to tackle all those little “honey do’s” that I had a good excuse to postpone. I was frightened to begin a total reno of my 1980-era bathroom. KRB put all my fears to rest! They offered helpful design suggestions and really helped me keep within my budget, while still giving me the comfort and design I wanted. Workers were professional; informed me when they would be in my home and explained what they would accomplish that day. Carpenter Rich was especially helpful, making sure we got our new shower before anything else. The few small issues were handled promptly and efficiently. I am pleasantly surprised with the staff of KRB who gave us the bathroom we wanted without the hassles I had imagined.

Our experience with Kevin Roy was nothing but positive. His company is expensive but worth it. He did a remodel of our kitchen, master bedroom and bath. We were amazed that everything was on time (even early) and on budget. Also, the crew was just amazing. We cannot say enough how pleasant they were to deal with. It is hard to have people in your place for weeks on end, but Tony (crew chief) made it easy! The very few problems that came up were handled quickly and easily. We hired KRB to build out Seacoast Family Promise’s new day center in Exeter NH. A five star rating is a no brainer. They were exemplary in their execution of the buildout. They responded well to our “design by committee “ changes during the project and they assisted our other subcontractors in getting their tasks done. Since we are a non profit organization, we had a number of volunteers involved in the project. KRB made sure we were all successful! Great people, great quality, great design ideas.

Love the counter tops, the installation of my tile was first rate. Everyone was pleasant, efficient and took great pains to keep everything clean. I love efficiency, as I was an interior decorator with my own business for 18 years and had to juggle multiple jobs at a time. It didn't bother anyone that I had purchased all the components myself. They just went about installing everything as they would have if I'd purchased through their company.

KRB Did a great job in designing and building a great room addition to our home. We interviewed 4 builders when considering the job. Kevin Roy of Portfolio Kitchens renovated our kitchen in March of 2011. It was a complete renovation which included a complete gut and movement of walls and new windows. Going through the process was very organized, and his team really listened to our needs and wants. They came up with a design and then followed through on a TIMELY basis the renovation and installation of new flooring, walls, cabinets, granite, etc. It came out beautiful and we couldn't be more happy. We are so pleased that we did our kitchen so that we could enjoy it for a few years before we downsize. Kevin Roy of Portfolio Kitchen and Home did an excellent job updating our kitchen from our initial design to final installed version with new cabinets, new sink with cutting board, outside vented hood, under cabinet LED lighting, and quartz counter-tops. Kevin overcame an out of level floor and non-square corner such that you cannot tell. The amazing recovery from an incorrect measurement was done in one day and we ended up with a better layout. I am still amazed how quickly they corrected the problem. The work crew kept the work area clean at the end of every day and they were able to keep the dust in the rest of the house to a minimum. We also liked the one stop shopping. Other vendors had us visiting so many stores we felt like we were the general contractor not the customer. I would hire them again for my next remodeling job.

Kevin Roy of Portfolio Kitchens designed a very workable kitchen for our our dated 1980s condo. Kevin was very easy to work with and very flexible in responding to our concerns, questions, and changes.
