Working with Carey was the best decision we made! Our extensive hardscaping project was desperately needed due to our outdated property. Carey and her team have gone above and beyond to recreate a family friendly space for years to come. Without her help, we would be nowhere near the outcome we have today. Carey has taken the lead with the utmost professionalism and expertise. She helped navigate us through this journey every step of the way, she’s a true perfectionist which we strongly appreciate. Carey Ezell was the perfect choice for us and our project. Before, the front yard was problematic, and the back yard yearned to be more than a deck and some lawn. Now that the project is complete, we have a beautiful front yard with inspired hardscape and plantings. The backyard works as a relaxing personal space and a great entertaining area. Carey's design reflects her expertise and our tastes. She was an excellent project manager. Her teams were top-notch. Carey's attention to detail and her ability to work around any issue were appreciated. She definitely cares about both the client and the implementation of the project. Carey Ezell transformed our long-neglected outdoor space into one of our favorite parts of our home. What I can only assume was the original 1950's patio had fallen into disrepair and was so uninviting we actually dreaded walking through it to get to our pool. It was not a place we enjoyed being. Carey did an excellent job really listening to our goals and completely updated the hardscaping with a new patio and decks that look like they were part of the original home's master plan, and will surely outlast us all. While maybe not her forte, our plans for an outdoor kitchen were well accommodated and excellently implemented, even with our superficial specifications. While admittedly an extravagance, with the modern trend of gathering in kitchens, it's really made it easy to enjoy our outdoor space with friends and family when dining al fresco. I'll defend my delay in posting this review by pointing out that I now know how well the plants have done over the course of an entire season. Carey's team had to plant during the Summer 2022 drought, but aside from a couple of bushes and a handful of small perennials, things wintered well, and sprouted up fine in the spring. Since then it's been a delight to see her vision really take root and mature. She definitely knows her plants and considered the ebb and flow of blooms and greenery throughout the year. Project-wise, we were fine with Carey's plan, approach, and communication throughout the project. Her original sub-contractor backed out early on for their own reasons, but she hardly skipped a beat given her connections in the area and had us on track in no time. I'll admit, Carey was not the first landscape architect we'd contacted. But you would be hard pressed to beat her understanding, communication, and respect for your budget. We're very happy with the results and plan to work with Carey again in the future to round out parts of the yard we did not touch as part of this project. She's really rejuvenated our yard; spending time outside is such a joy.

We have loved working with Carey on our project and would recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, professional landscape engagement. Our project was extensive, involving ground clearing, tree removal, retaining walls and gardens, outdoor lighting, driveway reconfiguration, irrigation, and of course plant selection and installation. She even helped us design a new entryway experience complete with a new front door. Carey transformed our home into something we are really proud of. The difference is unbelievable and with her help we were able to achieve a vision we didn't even think possible. Her creativity, service, and professionalism are unmatched and her team is absolutely 5-star.

Carey is a terrific landscape architect. She was able to ask the right questions and design a space that exceeded our expectations and was a pleasure to work with throughout the project. Our backyard has been transformed into an beautiful relaxing and functional space which we will enjoy for years to come.

The entire process of designing our backyard oasis was made simple because Carey listened to our ideas and brought them to life through detailed plans. She gave excellent advice, answered every question patiently and was very responsive. The contractors she works with were absolutely professional and did excellent work. The results are completely stunning! We are extremely happy with everything and highly recommend Carey!

Carey helped us create an entertaining patio with a custom fireplace and lovely garden surround. She and her team worked closely with us on overall design and selection of the right materials to seamlessly blend with a 1920s brick home. They accepted the challenge and exceeded our expectations in what I think were at least 5 attempts to match the fireplace bricks with something that was the right color and perfectly aged-look for our older New England home. There was a very careful selection of plants to compliment mature planting that we very much wanted to keep and incorporate with the overall look. In fact, one thing we weren't expecting, was how beautiful the plantings look in all seasons. Bonus! Carey was actively present thru the entire installation process, inspecting daily with a strong attention to detail, constant communication with the crew and us, to make sure things were progressing as planned. The crews were friendly and courteous to us and neighbors. They all arrived when expected and work the project to completion with no surprises. We just love our space and would jump at the chance to work with Carey again.

Carey is not only lovely to work with but we also trust her creative vision. She wove her concept into our landscape and stonework implementing a look that is both classic and unique. We had a clear idea of the project scope and Carey gave us the opportunity to work in phases which proved to be a great option. Carey's team is professional and in turn we have hired them for regular yard maintenance. The plan Carey created for us has completely transformed our space and we are forever grateful.

Carey was wonderful at redesigning our tired and overgrown yard. It feels like a whole new space and it has exceeded our expectations. We recently worked with Carey and her crew to design and build a small patio and beds surrounding it. Carey showed us pictures and worked closely with us on plans giving us her professional insight which was priceless. The finished product is lovely! The project went very smoothly from start to finish. Carey communicated a timeline that was met. Her crew that did the plantings took great care with not only how the plants were placed, but the process to make sure they would look as great months down the road as they did that first week. Working with Carey Ezell and her team was fantastic. She came up with the plan for renovating our front yard and then did all the work (ordering plants, scheduling workers, overhauling our entire yard) to make it a reality. Carey went so far above and beyond what we ever expected for our outdoor space! We were going to do some simple (aka boring) landscaping without much regard for our backyard. After some initial discussions with Carey, we hired her to do a "master" plan and from there we decided that our back yard should be our focus. We are so glad we did - we ended up with a beautiful patio, fire pit area, and spectacular landscaping. She truly transformed our backyard into a living space that we used daily throughout the summer and fall.
