We hired Monit to design and oversee the installation of a new front landscape for our home. She was a pleasure to work with. She listened intently, made insightful suggestions not only for plant selection but better bed flow and graceful transitions to compliment the architecture of the house. I first hired Monit in 2002 when she designed a shade garden at the side of my home. In 2004, she designed the area around a new patio and addressed a drainage problem with a charming dry creek. I called on her again this year to create a low maintenance woodland plan for the rest of the property. She is a joy to work with. Plant knowledge is indispensable for any designer, but Monit takes it further by thoroughly interviewing her clients on their style and color choices and custom fits the design to the owner and the property. She walks you through everything and is on site during the installation. I can't say enough good things about her talent and professionalism.

Monit designed and oversaw the implementation of our yard that had seen better days. Her design far surpassed anything we could have imagined and are delighted with the results. The yard flows from one area to the next, from shade to full sun, and it all fits together seamlessly. This was the best thing we have done for our home in a long time and we only wish we had done it years ago.

Monit designed a side yard for us about 15 years ago and it looks fantastic. Recently she designed and supervised the installation of our front lawn and planting beds. We get almost daily compliments on the appearance. The plants are easy care, low maintenance. Very happy

What a genius! I had Monit create a new plan for a 20 yr old yard that was in need of a desperate renovation and drainage work. She truly delivered. The cost of the renovation was in excess of $50,000 but with Monit's plan, I was able to sub-contract the work myself and have it done much cheaper. The flower and shrub choices were beautiful and different than every other yard, but not exotic. I definitely would use her again and recommend her highly.

Monit has been wonderful to work with. She has an academic background in landscape design and has brought to each project an experienced eye for both the aesthetics and the historical nature of the garden. She is professional, friendly, and committed. I would highly recommend her.

We've done two garden projects with Monit and would absolutely hire her again. Her ability to translate what the client thinks they want into a beautiful garden plan is amazing. Monit is truly wonderful. Our project took two years to complete. After learning what we wanted for our home Monit laid out her vision to us. She was detailed and explained her choices to us with clarity. Monit is very knowledgeable about plants, and which plants grow well in our area. She works with a landscaping company and was the liaison between us and the landscaper. During the work Monit was often present, making sure that our shared vision was being created to her standards. After the project was done Monit continued to visit our home to see how things were coming along. If a plant needed replacing, Monit made the arrangements with the landscaper. It has been almost a year since all the work ended. Monit still stops by occasionally. We consider her a friend and a wonderful resource.

Monit is a talented, articulate, receptive and realistic advisor to garden design. I used her services in guiding my urban backyard (about 50 feet by 80 feet) remake with predominantly native perennials. She is knowledgeable of plants that thrive in RIC She has a excellent eye for the layout of the work (e.g. hardscape, fountains) I found her pricing to be realistic and a "great deal" I used her services exclusively for design and advice.

Monit was a delight to work with. We have used her services for several projects and find her to be extremely creative and very professional. She works with a highly skilled crew of landscapers who take her designs and create works of art. She is passionate about her work and it shows in the end product.
