We had a big project to transform the side of our yard into a usable space. The infamous Joro Spiders had claimed it as their territory during the summer and fall months and the old wooden stairs were starting to fall apart. Ryan and his team worked with us every step of the way to design the space so it matched our existing stone patio area and met the HOA's [relatively strict] guidelines. They built retention walls, stone staircases, installed lighting, replaced an aging fence, and planted several new arborvitaes. Everyone that has seen the new side yard have been thoroughly impressed with the aesthetics and quality craftsmanship, but the biggest compliments come from our furry family members. Our dogs love the artificial pet turf which makes their messes easy to clean and hose down and they're not killing our front lawn anymore! They do excellent work, they're not cheap, but you really do get what you pay for. We have a much larger project that we'll be saving up for, and we will absolutely be going through Georgian Landscape Design.

Ashley at GLD was a pleasure to work with on the start of my backyard revamp. Ashley and the crew were professional, timely, & communicative in getting project completed. I am very satisfied with my dry creek bed & fire pit/ pavers with pergola. Plants suggested are beautiful & well suited for grading/conditions of the yard. I will definitely use GLD again & hope to work with Ashley.

Georgian Landscape Design created a plan to combat drainage issues, remove and replace overgrown shrubbery, and install new Zeon Zoysia sod. Ashley took the reins as our designer and was excellent to work with. Jeremy was on-site as well. The crew was on time and worked hard to complete the job as planned. Everything looks great!

I would not recommend this company at all. They did a project last year that they used subcontractor landscape companies for that couldn’t execute the design they gave us. Countless revisions and didn’t hold up their timeline. Over 40 plants died and they told me a year guarantee and now they are backing out of replacing. Poor communication and poor execution. Don’t waste your time or money with this company.

We switched to NGLM/Georgian Landscape Design 8 months ago and we have never looked back! This team does it ALL! From basic landscape management, to landscape design and even pools! Their team is amazing! They get it done in a timely manner and always do a great job! If you are in the market for a yard refresh or basic maintenance there is no better group out there!

My husband and I were referred to Georgian Landscape design at the beginning of 2022 to add a French Drain and do landscaping in the front and back yards. Robert Ryan, our landscape designer came out to review the property. Robert was fantastic and he took his time to go over the design with me. He was very open to changing some items for us and was always very professional to work with. We then decided to add a patio and his design was just what we were looking for. Robert's team was very professional and worked very hard and long hours in February which was very cold to help achieve the final outcome. My husband and I are very pleased with the overall design and project and we would highly recommend them to anyone. In fact, we did refer them to our new neighbor and she used them as well. Robert is very professional and a very talented landscape designer!!!!

Robert excellent person! We started our project on June 1st and the project was finished by June 15th. The project came out excellent! The workmanship was of a very high quality. I would recommend Robert and Georgian landscape design for any and all outdoor landscaping needs hardscaping, drainage, irrigation, and retaining walls, they have it covered. All in all very pleased.

Everything looks good except they for got to plant main plants in the design... Have been calling sending pictures since the FALL..... No response... Absolutely ridiculous.... We even paid for the flowers and labor on this particular section.... Everything else looks great except this is the first thing you see pulling up to the house

Multiple problems with this company. First, didn’t communicate that what I paid for the initial visit included nothing but the designer to drive over. Had to pay more to get an actual quote and design, which I paid. Didn’t get the quote/design in timeframe promised. Sent an email, which went unanswered. Called twice the next day and was told I would get it that day. The next week I still hadn’t received anything, called three more times and left two messages. No response. Had to dispute the $350 charges with the credit card to recoup costs for services not rendered. Edited- after disputing the charge I did hear back from the company with the quote.

Can’t say enough good about Georgian Landscaping and especially Robert for making my backyard beautiful with a new paver patio, fire pit, plantings and new sod. His design was exactly what I envisioned and he saw the project all the way through completion. I appreciated his attention to detail! He wasn’t satisfied until it was perfect! I would highly recommend them for your landscape project and particularly Robert. Also thanks to Simon and his team for their beautiful work!

We contracted with GLD for a project that involved creating a hardscape area between our house and detached garage. We had an area that was not useable due to drainage issues as well as no clear design. Phillip Tucker was our designer and proved to be excellent at suggesting solutions as well as creating design ideas. The end result exceeded our expectations, Phillip designed granite stairs which is a focal point of the project. The team that performed the work were professional, knowledgeable and skilled at landscaping and stone masonry. They kept us informed & updated throughout the project, no surprises or unexpected cost. I highly recommend GDL, you will not be disappointed in the outcome. Great job to Phillip and the team! My house has had a water draining issue since I purchased it and the soil has been washed away. Ed and Alex came to assess my property and provided the recommendation to install the drainage system to prevent further water damage to the house. They dug out trenches, installed drainage pipes, covered them with more soil and sods, and made it look even better than before. I truly appreciate Ed, Alex and their team. They're professional and I look forward to more landscaping projects with them in the future.

Lisa Glynn and Georgian Landscape Design was recommended to me by the director of the horticulture program at Gwinnett Technical College. They replaced an old decrepit railroad tie retaining wall for me. Lisa designed beautiful 4' wide curving stone steps into the end of wall. The crew completed the job in two days (wall is over 60' long), and even worked in the rain under a tarp. Beautiful and efficient work was done in a professional manner. I would definitely recommend them for any stone project.

These guys are in the business to ensure customer’s satisfaction is not only met but perform and give results beyond expectations. Jeremy is the owner and very first day he came he listened and was open for suggestions and not just got me quote on the day he promised , but was quick to ensure to update quote and provide his suggestions. He respected whatever we threw at him . He wasn’t the cheapest but after reading reviews we felt that he does quality work and we see the result . I had rainfall deterioration in one side of my home and needed to re sod my lawn and build a small landscaping wall. Ryan had a crew of excellent workers, James, Alfredo and Faustino who were meticulous in all aspects of the different work needed. I was really impressed at their work ethics and their professionalism. They did some extra work such as trimming some trees so the sod gets more sunlight. Ed Szczesniak (owner) came up with a beautiful low divided brick wall with a small Japanese Maple & surrounding low shrubs in center. It so perfectly handled my problem with people driving up the center of my lawn (despite having a circular driveway)..His crew was professional, friendly & delivered a superior result. Mario was both a perfectionist & a true craftsman! The final addition of lighting showcases the handiwork that so beautifully enhances my home..

We are very happy with the excellent job GLD did for our backyard project which included drainage, multiple retaining walls, new sod, sprinkler system and a stone pathway. All crews are professionally trained and really skillful. The owner Ed Szczesniak showed up every day and ensured the project quality. We’re really appreciate their coming out to work in this difficult Covid-19 outbreak time. The project was done in 6 days and the cost is over our budget but we feel it worth the money we spent.

We had an excellent experience with Ed Szczeniak's company, Georgian Landscape Design. We had taken down twelve very large leylands due to blight. Our backyard looked as if a bomb had exploded. Ed redesigned our yard with trees, shrubs, mulch and river rock because of a drainage problem. Ed was a pleasure to work with, and we highly recommend his company. Ed and his team totally changed my back yard. Have been wanting a Japanese look type garden and he exceeded all of my expectations. Ed was there even during most of the project and receptive to changes on the spot. His recommendations were exactly what we wanted. For all the work accomplished, including french drains, I felt the price was fair. I can honestly recommend Georgian Landscape for any large or small landscaping projects.

We are on a small farm, so try to maintain it so it is functional and presentable. We needed to solve a serious drainage problem before building a structure to protect our equipment, and we wanted it to look nice. Philip Tucker was recommended by one of his competition since they knew they could not handle the full scope of the project. Philip came out to assess the project, and reported back when he said he would with suggestions and a quote. A schedule was agreed upon around the Christmas holidays. His crew did a very good job, and he was by regularly to make sure it was going as planned. I never had any concerns, and the job was finished on time, and done right. He has very good craftsmen working with him! We will be using him again this spring on another challenging project.

We found a gem in Georgian Landscape Design. The knowledge the owner has is impressive and the quality of work their employees provide is first-rate. We finished up a huge project this past summer with an entire over-haul of our backyard. But wait, we aren't finished with them. We are having them return for more work in our front yard, too! We hired GLD for a pool area expansion project at a large community in Braselton. Ed designed and oversaw the project from the first brick laid to the last flower planted. His vision for this area transformed it into a beautiful and functional centerpiece of the community. This area now is not only a seasonal amenity for owners but a a year-round space. Omg. I was nervous and unsure what I wanted for my "backyard makeover". Ed, Jeremy, Daryl and the team delivered! I love it!

I contacted Ed in November of last year when our septic tank was getting flooded with standing water in the backyard. He suggested re-grading the yard and to seed the yard with rye grass to last through the winter. When the spring came and we needed to seed the yard with Bermuda, the price "went up due to price increases" from the original price we verbally agreed upon. During both seeding instances the seed never fully developed, probably from a lack of wheat straw put down. The gate was broken during the process and although they fixed it, it was not leveled properly. I had to constantly email and call Ed to get responses to simple questions and to get them to schedule the spring seeding. I've updated this review since speaking with Jeremy, who works with Ed, and I feel Jeremy is a better point of contact. I appreciate he tried to understand the problems instead of just ignoring it or brushing it off.

We are thrilled with the landscape job performed by this company. Ed contacted us with every update before he performed the additional work. His crew was professional and very knowledgeable. He has a landscape designer as well as an irrigation expert on his team. They arrived on time each day and worked to schedule. We love the results. I will use them for any future work. I recently bought a house that Ed and his team did significant work on a few months prior. Due to lack of attention by the current owner, significant damage took place the day before our scheduled closing. You can imagine the concern, the uncertainly and the fear that my wife and I were experiencing. I called Ed the day before closing and he assured me that he would make everything alright and take care of the issue. Words are cheap and the concern remained until he sent an entire crew to fix the problem just three days later. The relief was indescribable and I have someone that I can trust moving forward. I would recommend Georgian Landscape Design to anyone in the North Georgia area.

We hired Georgian Landscape Design to relocate existing shrubs and replant the bed in front of our house. We also had them create an island in our side yard that contains azalea bushes, dianthus and a flowering dogwood tree. One other shrub by our garage was replaced with a dwarf Hinoki cypress. Ed (the owner) was prompt and professional during our initial appointment. He offered some great suggestions and followed up with a drawing of our landscape design plan and photos of the trees and shrubs he was suggesting. He was very accommodating when we requested some changes. We had to wait some time for our Homeowners Association to approve the plan and Ed was very patient and then able to schedule our project quickly once we got the ok. We are very pleased with the finished project and look forward to seeing our new plants grow and prosper. Our only complaint would be that we thought the cost was a little high. Also there was a slight misunderstanding concerning additional parts of the project that we thought were included in the cost but were not. However we are thrilled with the results and would highly recommend Georgian Landscape Design for your landscape needs.

My wife and I wanted to upgrade the landscaping in the front of our house so we went online to find a good landscape design company. We checked out the Houzz website and found Georgian Landscape Design. We met with Ed and Jeremy one Saturday morning and discussed what we wanted. We wanted new plantings, new stone edging and a new stone sidewalk. Ed prepared a photo rendering for us showing what our new design could look like. Ed tweaked it several times for us to get it exactly as we wanted. Ed, Jeremy and the team did a great installation and the completed project came out perfect and looks great. Ed's knowledge of landscape design is excellent and he chose new planting for us that look and work very well in our very sunny and hot front yard. Ed chose stone edging that went very nicely with our current stone porch. They started and completed the project for us just as discussed and agreed to. My wife and I will definitely call Ed, Jeremy, and the team at Georgian Landscape Design when we are ready for our next landscape project. They are the best and you wont find anyone better.

I hired Georgian Landscape Deisgn to correct a drainage problem and to replace the sod in my back yard. They installed a French drain which is working like a champ. I can not say enough good things about his employees. They were very conscientious and professional. I watched in amazement as they installed my beautiful new lawn with such ease.

I hired Ed and his crew when he came to my home told me that I didn't need a landscape architect, but rather a good landscaper. He said didn't want to charge me for something I didn't need. After a walk-through of my property, we came up with a phased approach to all the work that a wanted done. We first addressed what was needed vs what was desired. Georgian Landscape Design did such a great job transforming my backyard into a paradise retreat. The price was right a lot less than I had anticipated. The cleared out the overgrown bushes, cut down the dead trees and leveled out the yard. It required retaining walls and steps to reach the top of the hill. Both Ed and Jared completed on time, (less than a week). After all was said and done the neighbors came and were very impressed. Georgian Landscape Design did a fantastic job on my yard. After 7 years of erosion and dying grass my yard was in pretty bad shape. GLD came in to assess my yard and listen to my wishes. They took my requirements and made great suggestions. Particularly, they suggested adding stairs to a retaining wall. At first I wasn't very crazy about this, but after it was done I'm so glad we did it. GLD pay attention to details. They did little things that most contractors would ignore. Like using remaining landscape timbers to shore up the pad for my A/C compressor. Anytime I hire a contractor to do work at my house, i'm always worried because of all the bad things that can happen when you get a contractor that is out there to take advantage of you. with GLD there is none of that to worry about. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Georgian Landscape Design did an excellent job with our landscape project. We had no idea where to start, just knew our backyard was a mess due to flooding and we didn't like some of the bushes we had and wanted some trees and mulch. Ed was a joy to work with. He walked us through suggestions as to what to plant, where to plant, and where we could relocate and salvage what we had. He gave us recommendations on shade loving plants that would work well under our deck as well as pictures and a detailed outline of what would be done so we would know what to expect. We love the work they did and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Hired Georgian Landscape Design (Ed) for a small project in my front yard, gave specifics on exactly what was needed, the layout design, types of plants/shrubs for the majority of the job, already had 3 other quotes. Was incredibly disappointed that the 1 of the 2 main anchor plants/shrubs I needed and wanted and spoke at length about (in regards to size, location, placement, etc.) were more than double the size than was discussed, and most importantly, contracted. These were to be young 15 gal container shrubs (2) of about 3-4 feet in height and 3-3 1/2 feet in width that one person could carry and install, however, 30+ gal, burlap wrapped fully grown 7-7 1/2 foot tall and 5-6 feet wide shrubs were delivered and installed, without my approval in regards to any size change. Asked to have the extremely over-sized shrubs that were installed and that completely blocked the view out of the main living room window, one of the specifics that was discussed that my wife and I did not want, and replaced with the correct size shrubs. The owner said this would be an additional charge, which was a serious issue given the instruction and written contract that was executed and the amount I was already charged. Ultimately had to just finally agree on a slightly reduced final bill to end it and move on, and then had to hire another company to come remove the more than 600 lb shrubs to the back and had to go find my own replacement plants for the time being. In addition, at the time I had these shrubs removed, within a week or so of the install, I discovered that a large amount of top soil, 3 cubic yards, that should have been delivered and mix with the red clay soil for proper planting and development of the plants and shrubs in this location was no where to be found. So not only were the completely wrong size shrubs ordered, delivered and installed, product that I paid for was not delivered, and therefore not installed, meaning the majority of the plants were not properly installed. The level of professionalism in dealing with the owner on this issue that was outside of the scope of work agreed too was incredibly low. The level of complete unwillingness to fix the issue that this business owner created by not providing what was contracted was incredibly high. He did not stand by his verbal and written agreement, nor did he stand behind his work. I, personally, would not ever use this company again, nor would I ever recommend them to friends, family or even a stranger. In hindsight, wish I had of just handled the job myself with a few friends or a couple of hired hands. I would have been sore, but would have been happy.

One was a walkway we needed to put in along the side of our house down to a fire pit and the other was more challenging - it involved our property along with our neighbors. Ed took two real problem areas and turned both into an asset for all of us, He created a stone walkway running from the front corner of our house all the way to the back fire pit lined with trees and shrubs that added not only color, but eliminated drainage problems and created stone paths that allow us to enjoy our landscapes. GLD not only completely designed my front and back yard, they maintain it on a regular basis. They respond quickly when I contact them. They go above and beyond. I would recommend GLD to anyone that wants the WOW yard. I want to say to the last person that sent in a review and complained: You are an idiot. I have known the owner of this company for years and he has ALWAYS done a fantastic job. He explains what will work and what will not. I know he explained things to you. Your problem is you did not ask the real boss (your wife) before you said to go ahead with the planting. When she did not like it you made up some crap to save face with her or we know who wears the pants. Bottomline it was YOUR FAULT and NOT this company. So to anyone that read his comment please disregard as he has no class or commonsense.
