Donna and crew were excellent. Great communicators, provided realistic timelines that they honored and if there were any changes brought them forward immediately. We loved Donna's great ideas, she worked well with our designer and actually improved the design with her incredible knowledge and expertise. She focused on the environmental impact of the landscape and the landscape's impact on the environment. We 100% recommend Donna, her crew and her sub contractors. We plan to use her for future projects.

We worked with Donna and her crew at D & J Landscape twice in the last year--once to do a massive overhaul of our front and back yards and then again to do some tweaks to our patio area and parking strip. These totaled ~6 weeks of work on site and included fixing drainage issues, adding in irrigation, removing existing lawn, paving a patio, piping in natural gas, building a fence/gate, planting trees, laying paths, and developing/planting new garden beds. I fully recommend working with Donna and team if you are undertaking any of these sort of projects. Communication: Donna is exceptionally clear and reliable in her communication. Things happen when she says they will (ex: team will show up at 8:30, I will be there at 9) and has great follow up (ex: if we briefly discussed tweaking the placement of something, she will reliably followup with the crew and me to make sure it is done). Crew: Donna's crew and her contractor connections (ex: plumber) are top-notch. The crew works super hard and ensures no detail is skipped. Every little thing is measured, leveled, and cleaned up. They are awesome problem solvers who let you know tradeoffs of doing something X vs Y way. Quality of work: Donna is able to capture the aesthetic of what you want and deliver it cleanly and professionally. There are no cut corners or things that stick out the moment the crew has left. Every few weeks after completing the projects, Donna would check in to make sure we liked what was done and ensure we were able to use and maintain the space as we wanted.

We were referred to Donna by a landscape designer that planned a completely new look for our property. Donna and the crew removed the existing lawn, created patios and paths with different types of hardscape products called for in the design plan. They planted trees, shrubs, perennials and ground covers. She went above and beyond expectations to find the vast variety of materials and plants of quality. Everything was skillfully created and planted with care for years of enjoyment. We are extremely pleased with the entire project. D & J Landscape Contractors are experts in their field!

Donna and her amazing crew transformed our front yard and south facing garden from an overgrown and overwhelming mess into to space of beauty and solace. We asked for rocks (two varieties), native plants and perennials-as well as a water tolerant succulent desert garden (south facing). Best investment we have made in our property. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

If I could give Donna and her crew more than 5 stars I would. They transformed the front of my home from an eyesore to a place we love to spend time. We had a plan and they executed it well while helping to troubleshoot along the way with hardscape as well as the plantings. They are professional, kind, communicate well, and take great pride in their work. They continue to check on their work a year later to make sure everything is growing well. They are by far the best of any contracting company we have hired to work on our older home.

We have been working with Donna and Jamie and crew for more than 25 years at two residences. Donna and her team implemented beautifully the landscape design another designer prepared. It's one thing to look at a design on paper, another to see it done and in place. It exceeded our expectations. Donna knows her stuff and our impression is that much of her team has been with her for years.

My wife and I were absolutely thrilled with the design and installation of our complete landscaping of our mid-Century modern home by D&J. There were honest competent and diligent in trying to interpret our desires in ways we couldn't imagine on our own. Donna, partnered with Victor Vencill's superlative fencing and decking skills, helped us achieve the home of our dreams. We spent twice what we thought and got a result beyond anything we could have imagined. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

I found Donna and D&J through my landscape designer. Donna and I met a couple of times to go over the details of the project before she quoted me to make sure it was complete and accurate. My project involved completely gutting the backyard. Most of the plants, the top soil, some concrete slab and a fence. It was amazing to me how organized her crew was. It seems like materials showed up exactly when need and other stuff disappeared when not. Pavers, beds and a hand designed fire pit are what was installed. The quality of the work was awesome. Especially with the pavers and curves in the design. Brian and his guys are perfectionists. And they were very respectful of neighbors in the execution of this project.The team also planted the plants that were available in the fall which was great. All in all I would recommend Donna to anyone needing a landscape contractor. Her plant knowledge and design sense only add to D&J's contracting skills. I look forward to working with her again.
