Dr Robert Blok of Prospect Ky. We did give a estimate for maintenance to patio in 2017. Since you didn't respond ( For 2 years prior to that ) to phone calls text or emails that maintenance was required.
I have to say how disappointed i am in the appearance of it, No broken stones, No broken wall block, the only thing that can pick on is the wall cap joint on how it lines up with the wall block (circled in red) but all this could have been avoided if you would have simply responded to us prior to our visit last year.
Belgard wall block has lifetime warranty for block failure, this is not the case in this matter. 1 year warranty for craftsmanship of sitting walls not the case in this matter.
We recommend
clean patio weekly or twice a week since you back up to a farm, air pollution falling onto the patio and just sitting there is not good for any patio.
Mid Summer pressure washing, Lightly wash the patio off after Spring pollen, touch up any polymeric sanding if needed.

I must initiate my response by first affirming that at Unlimited Landscapes, we value ALL customers equally. Big or small, every project we take on is approached as I would treat my own property – a standard that has allowed our company to thrive for 28 years.

Keeping with the mentality that the customer is always right, I would like to extend an apology to Mr. Lesshafft that your experience was unsatisfactory. That being said, I do feel an explanation and defense on our behalf is warranted.

The job in question was (like all estimates) written up and sent for review by the homeowner. The terms of agreement are clearly outlined as 50% down with payment upon completion along with a breakdown of what the job entails as to avoid any misunderstanding. As per the estimate, all work outlined was completed as written. While on the job, we even transplanted two Bird’s Nest Spruces at no additional charge.

I personally saw to and signed off on the completion of this job. Per the terms entered upon and stated in the estimate, payment was applied for the remaining balance. It wasn’t until three weeks after the fact the homeowner called inquiring as to why his card was charged.

There was a question as to why a few trees (that were not part of the estimate) were not trimmed. Unbeknownst to us, the homeowner assumed that while we were there we would prune additional trees for free. Wanting to keep him as a future customer, I explained that while those particular trees were not listed in the estimate, I would personally take care of the extra work at no cost.

I completed trimming his trees, though not without pause from the homeowner. In the days following our initial conversation he continually called threatening our office personnel, demanding the work – mind you, the free work – get done immediately.

I stand behind the work my company does and wish Mr. Lesshafft no hard feelings. We’ve all been privy to that one customer.
