I couldn't be happier with all of the closets and shelving Andrea designed for me. She listened closely to what I needed and maximized every closet and storage space to accommodate all of my things. Andrea nailed all of the measurements; all of the closet pieces fit down to the millimeter. The end result was both aesthetically pleasing and practical. She works fast as does her installation team. Her pricing is competitive and she'll tell you if something isn't worth spending money on. Lastly, Andrea is a lovely person -- so warm and caring. You are in excellent hands working with her.

Andrea did a fantastic job with our closets! We had four built out - a laundry/linen closet, pantry, entryway, and primary bedroom closet. They all look absolutely phenomenal! She worked with us within our time frame and understood our needs. She has ample experience working with condo boards and submitted all necessary insurance materials quickly and efficiently.
Andrea is easy to communicate with and her priority is quality work that aligns with your needs. Everyone has raved over our closets from my husband to my mom to friends. We love our custom closets and highly recommend her!

Building around electric panels and washers and dryers is always interesting. I love a challenge! It was wonderful to work with Morgan on her beautiful new construction apartment. We created so much more storage for her.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
Many clients come to me who are in a rental property in Manhattan where they do not have ample closet space and also do not want to break the bank. For Rachel the challenge was that she needed a lot more hanging space. We created a wardrobe with 4 sections of hanging that did not take up too much space in the primary bedroom and gave her so much more storage for a great value!

Andrea came highly recommended to me by a friend and she did not disappoint! We had a very quick turnaround needed due to a renovation and move, and Andrea guided me expertly based on what our needs were. Andrea was incredibly interested in who would be using the spaces and what types of objects/clothing would be going into those spaces to customize them exactly to maximize usage. We are so happy with the finished product and I can’t believe how much room was created in our closets by smart design!

Andrea was so easy to work with! She comes armed with ideas and suggestions. She is professional, punctual and thorough in her work. Everything was done just as discussed, on time and with zero hiccups. She also helped me save some $$$ along the way- even though she didn’t have to. Strongly recommend!

It was a pleasure working with Achint to transform her closets and to maximize her storage.
Andrea helped us redo 3 small coat closets and three bedroom closets. She was very responsive, efficient both time- and money-wise, and a pleasure to collaborate with. Her advice was also very practical - she wasn't just saying what we wanted to hear. The job was finished in just one or two days, and the workers were also extremely professional and easy to work with. We would absolutely use Andrea again, and have already recommended her to several friends.

Working with Andrea Gary is an absolute dream! One of our clients recommended her after they had a bad experience with California Closets. We kept her in mind for future projects and then contacted Andrea a few months later. Within an hour, she had redesigned the terrible layout that CC did for us, got me samples of materials shortly after and the entire closet install was done within the month! We were planning to wait almost 6 months for an install and Andrea did it better, quicker and her layout and quality was absolutely perfect. My clients were so thrilled and just blown away by the entire process! Andrea makes things that could be so complicated incredibly simple. On top of that, she is just an overall pleasant and delightful person and a real pleasure to work with. I will never work with another closet designer again!

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
It is always great to work with colleagues in designing beautiful cabinetry. Some architects however create things that look good but don't function as well for organizing. This is not the case with Jaclyn. We have worked on several projects and it is delightful to work as a team with someone who respects your expertise in the storage arena. This client had specific needs for crafting storage and for a pullout tray for the shredder so that it would no longer sit in front of the cabinet. I look forward to more projects together. It is such a pleasure to do what you love and love what you do with people who do the same!

I have never had, but always dreamed of having, a beautiful closet! When I was given Andrea’s contact info, I knew I was one step closer to having all my clothes in one perfect delightful space. Andrea was not only amazing, kind and organized, she helped me rethink what I thought I wanted to create the absolute perfect closet. It was so easy, so seamless and her attention to detail is out of this world!!! Her team of installers were fabulous and Andrea even took things one step further. She had me switch my hangers to one type, explained how to organize my clothing and it has been a real game changer. My husband stares in awe at my closet and what Andrea created. Andrea is worth every penny and will change your life and makes picking out clothes fun again!

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
I loved working with Melissa to get her her dream closet. When I met with her initially the walls were not completed but we were able to determine all of her storage needs. I was out of town when the contractors finalized the sheetrock so she was kind enough to get me super accurate dimensions so that I could design the job from afar and get her a timely installation. She was still working on fine tuning after the install but wrote to me it was a perfect fit!

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
It was wonderful working with Maria - especially in designing her daughter's closet ..."She spends more time INSIDE her closet than in the playroom now - She's obsessed". Several of Maria's closets were originally done by her builder and from the weight of the clothing were actually falling down out of the wall. I was glad to design and construct closets to last for Maria and her family. Maria is fabulous organizer and her after photos prove it!
Andrea is super efficient. She produced exactly what was decided on in a precise and super professional manner. From basic organization to high end beautiful closets, she’s your person!

It was a pleasure working with Deb and her clients to create increased storage in all of their closets. Couples who are downsizing from larger homes usually are in need of plenty of organization and storage. We created just that in time and in budget!

Andrea is amazing. She designed and organized the installation of my office room which now looks beautiful and all the storage is perfect. Highly professional and high quality job turned around in a short space of time for a much better price than you get charged with any of the national firms. She worked for the big firms for many years and has all the experience and credentials needed to run her own company which she now does with aplomb. Support her local company!

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
It was a pleasure meeting and working with Deborah. She had met with another company prior to meeting me and had a design she shared with me. I found once we met that the design really did not work well for her needs and did not maximize the amount of storage . We created one wall with a desk, file drawers and pull out printer storage and bookshelves and an additional wall of bookshelves. I also redesigned the reach in closet in the office room to accommodate all of her children's artwork and other paperwork and notebooks. See the before and after photos below.

The process was so smooth and well planned from beginning to end, from taking measurements, to the day of installation. The installers were on time and completed the closets per the design and on time. I’m so happy with the end result. Andrea was so amazing throughout the whole process and provided a great customer experience helping me decide on the best closet design that fits my space. I would definitely recommend Andrea Gary.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
It often seems that in renovation projects I am the only one who delivers on time. I think much of it is because I have more factors which I can control and I work with very reliable sources. It was a pleasure working with Sean and Lydia to design closets in their new home as they were expecting and moving which can both be stressful. I was happy to help them make a smoother transition to their new life! See Before and After photo attached of the Primary Closet

Andrea Gary is a genius at space organization. She quickly understood what I needed in all of my large closets and artfully and cleverly designed the spaces that suited me perfectly. The materials she uses are sleek and first class in every way and the finished product is absolutely beautiful.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
Dolly was moving from a large home to a Manhattan apartment and needed to maximize storage in every closet. We worked together to accommodate every category of items she was moving with her to fit them in! Since the new closets were only outfitted with a rd and a shelf I had her tear them out and replaced with double to triple the amount of storage. See the before and after photos of 2 of the closets.

I love converting a room to a Dressing Room! It was wonderful working with Lynn to create her dream closet. She tore out all that was there before and we painted a new masterpiece with an area for shoes and boots unto itself, a jewelry armoire and plenty of hanging space for all of her clothes. We also decided to close up 2 cabinets for folded items and any other misc. items not needing to be seen. I can't wait to photograph everything in it's place!!!

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
It was a pleasure working with Ghandarv and Sanya to enable their vision for beautiful closets in their new duplex home. We literally used every inch of space as the ceiling was unusually low. I kept my fingers crossed as it was being installed and it all worked perfectly!
Working with Andrea was such a wonderful experience! My husband and I recently purchased a 2bedroom apartment downtown as we're expecting our first child in April and needed more space. Even though our new place had more closet space than we were used to, there was very little utility and it would've been impossible to organize especially with a baby on the way. Andrea was able to determine exactly what we needed and where and reformatted all five of our closets to maximize utility and ensure we started off on the most organized foot. Andrea was incredibly patient despite several delays due to our closing date being moved, and was still able to help us come in at a significantly lower budget and earlier install date than competitors. Easily the best money we've ever spent -- if we ever move, we'll absolutely be working with Andrea again!

I hired Andrea to help convert a bedroom into a closet. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. From start to finish Andrea was professional, creative, communicative and delivered everything she promised. She supervised all the work and made sure every detail was on point. She also organized the closet when it was completed and I am beyond pleased with the results. I highly recommend Andrea for all your closet needs.

What a treat it was to work with Andrea Gary! She is a creative professional who knew how to fill my “dream of a den” with lots of shelves, a bulletin board, computer, printer, shelves for baskets, and organizing other spaces.
After our first meeting where she asked questions to understand what I wanted, she shared suggestions I appreciated. The design magically turned to be the perfect den of my dreams. It has lots of shelves, couple of file drawers, space for my printer (pull-out), a desk with the computer, and space for baskets I wanted in the den.
Andrea helped me organize my space not only in the den but in other rooms. She is truly a design stylist, organizer, and willing to help. Andrea offered recommendations as I was visualizing my apartment to be since I lacked the skill to be specific. Her suggestions for other spaces were gratis.
Her carpenters were efficient, neat and got the job done perfectly within the timeframe promised.
Finally, the proposal for the job was not only 20 percent cheaper than my second pro, but Andrea’s design has more shelves, an extra drawer and an overall more attractive unit. The space is more efficiently designed.

So nice to work with Joy and to create first a dressing room and then to add a vanity and shoe storage to the center in a second phase of the project.
After numerous unsuccessful consultations with big closet companies, we were able to find Andrea! She was exactly what we had been looking for. She was able to quickly design 3 closets (1 walk in and 2 reach in closets) and the transformation was incredible! Never have we been so organized and able to fit so much into our closets. She is extremely professional and organized with her designs and installation process. We plan to use her again for other closets! Thank you so so much!!!

Couldn't recommend Andrea more!!!
We hired Andrea to build out all of the closets in our apartment during a gut renovation (2 walk in closets, 3 reach in closets, and a laundry room). Andrea faced an uphill battle with this project as our planning phase coincided with NYC's lockdown, which meant zoom meetings in place of ever stepping foot in the apartment. As Andrea takes a very consultative approach to planning she was able to quickly pivot and move our project along despite never stepping foot inside the apartment until we were ready to go into production. She took our current and future needs, and budget into consideration when making design recommendations and was so patient with us as we went through a few revisions and iterations. We love the finished product and wouldn't hesitate to hire her again!
Thank you Andrea!!

I loved working with Andrea! She saw things for my closet that I could never see for myself! Given how complicated life has become during COVID - it was amazing how quickly, thoughtfully, and well done everything was. My new closets are amazing.
November 6, 2020
Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
Glad to have another happy client! We did several closets for RG in her new apartment in Brooklyn to maximize storage for her clothing, coats and office supplies. Working from home during COVID has changed the needs of many in terms of office set up and storage. I was happy to help her get settled and stay organized with new closets. See before of coat closet and after where I was able to increase both hanging and shelving storage.
I could not recommend Andrea enough - she is professional, organized, and has a real knack for closet design! My project manager on a major renovation recommended that we use California Closets for our apartment; she provided us with some crazy quotes and poor design options. The CC options for two build-in closest, a kids closet, and a walk-in made absolutely no sense and did not maximize our space. I decided to do my own search on Houzz, and thats when I reached out to Andrea. She was quick to respond to my inquiry and listened to everything I wanted before designing our closets. She really made the closets custom to our needs, maximized our space, and made excellent recommendations on all the minor things (i.e. handle color, hanging bar style, etc.). Even more importantly, she was respectful of our budget and made sure to stay on point. On construction day, Andrea was onsite, making sure the install process ran smoothly and ensuring that everything fit perfectly and was level (our ceilings were not, so special cutting had to be done to ensure the custom build-in closets were flush with the ceiling). After day 1, she sent us progress photos, and was in touch with all updates as to what transpired. After a 2 day install, we are extremely happy with the end project - the build-in closets blend perfectly into the apartment, and the kids closets and walk-in look great and are designed to meet our needs.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
I often come in after a client has met with or been advised by another closet company. I rarely agree with others designs as I find they do not delve deeply int the client's needs and how and why they want items to be organized. It was a pleasure helping Lora prepare to move into her newly renovated apartment as she is expecting her first child. We were able to finish ahead of the general contractors as is often the case. I wish her all the best in her new digs.
My husband and I downsized from a house to a pre-war apartment in Manhattan with serious storage issues. Thank goodness for Andrea Gary. I knew I needed re-designs for a few closets and Andrea did an excellent job with those. She then went beyond and designed a perfect little filing cabinet for a space in the kitchen I didn't realize existed and conjured up the perfect coat and outerwear unit for our entryway. Her ideas are on-point and her construction crew is meticulous. She oversaw all aspects of the project and got it done with minimal fuss. Confident and down-to-earth with a great sense of humor Andrea made this organizing project a pleasure. I'm very happy to recommend her services.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
It was a pleasure to work with Maeve on her reorganizing project. I love pre-war architecture but when it comes to storage it is often limited because people in that era just had less stuff than we all do today. I was able to create maximized storage in Maeve's reach-in closets and design a little office unit in between her existing kitchen cabinets with space for a printer, files and a cabinet for supplies. An unused space became an mini-office!

This is the second time I worked with Andrea. The first time was for our 4 story home in Hudson Harbor, Tarrytown and the second time was for my downsizing apartment on the Upper West Side. She had to remove old closet hardware and create a configured space for clothes extensive shoe and boot collections, linen closets and pantry. Her team worked cleanly and efficiently and I was very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Kerfuffle to anyone who wants to get the job done right the first time.

It was such fun to tailor a dressing room for Terry who is one of the most organized men I have ever met. The room was half home office and half dressing area so the two areas had to compliment each other. What a great finale!

She transformed my daughter's closet into a dream and turned a closet in a spare room into a small office! Exceptional experience with Andrea and her team from start to finish!
Andrea captured the vision I had for my and my husbands walk in closets and I could not be happier! I have so much useable and organized space now and everything is easy to access. It's amazing what a great closet can do! It was quick and easy and I feel FREE of clutter! AND it looks beautiful.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
The challenge with narrow walk-in closets is to find a use for the wall you don't build on. I always try to maximize storage with cleats and hooks for scarves, belts, robes, bags and misc or with pins on cleats for people with large collections of necklaces. I did both for Liz in her closets. Love a happy client! See the before and after below.

Best of the best,
If you ask any New Yorker what the biggest struggle in searching for the right apartment is, they will all agree is closet space. Well worry no more because saint Andrea Gary (I emphasize the word saint because she literally has an art to every closet she touches) is the solution to any closet woes.
I have had the honor and privilege to have Andrea design my closets in two of my New York City apartments. She has an incredible way to make your closet dreams come to reality, specially when working with smaller spaces. Her vision, art and work aesthetic are not only reflected on the work that she does but also on who she is as a person.
Her dedication to organizing and building closets in confined spaces go far beyond anything her clients expect. She dedicated her time to understanding what her clients needs are and getting to know them personally in order for her to meet their expectations.
I can not recommend her more and I look forward to working with her again in my next closet

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
I loved working with Christina on her newest rental. We turned an open office space into a dressing room and stuck to a budget as she wasn't sure how long she would be staying. We were able to maximize her storage by turning a corner and building a unit in front of a window she was not using. I suggested saving money by purchasing a few 4 drawer inexpensive drawer units and turning them back to back to make an island in the center. She cleverly used command hooks to display her bags and necklaces. It turned out beautifully and did not break the bank. See the before and after photos.

I had Andrea design/install a wall unit/closet in my bedroom. I have done many renovations/projects in my apartment and my experience with Andrea was simply wonderful. Andrea is professional, knowledgeable, creative, insightful, responsive, and honest. She is respectful of your space, will let you know her opinion, but she is open minded and not pushy at all. She really caters to your personal needs and you can see her passion for organization! I believe her prices are reasonable and I found the overall experience to be easy and stress free. It was a pleasure to work with Vivian. She had so much wall space and was in dire need of additional storage. We turned her bedroom wall into 2 nightstands and several cabinets for her shoes, boots, folded clothes and backup items. The final product not only provided her with so much space it was aesthetically all she dreamed of. See before and after below.

I have worked with Andrea for over 10 years on multiple projects and I will continue to go back to her. Her attention to detail and work ethic are phenomenal. On our most recent project, she came in and designed 4 closets, 1 of which had sloped ceilings, in a matter of 4 months, which I will be forever grateful for. She was always readily available to address any questions or concerns I had and always managed to accommodate my hectic schedule, I had newborn at the time. On our install dates she was there all date to make sure everything went smoothly, which it had. Overall the design maximized my space, the work was beautiful and the price was reasonable. Andrea is absolutely amazing!!! I cannot wait to work with her again!

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
It has been a treat to work with Angela for over 10 years and to watch her grow from a talented business woman to a wife and mother of two. I began meeting with her and her husband when this beautiful new house was under major construction . We talked through the best placement of new walls in the sloped ceiling dressing room to maximize the storage. I capitalized on every nook adding low cabinetry in the eaves and wrapping shoe shelves around a corner. I came back several times during the renovation to walk through measurements and design changes based on floors and walls changing. These photos show some of those stages. I look forward to photographing the final product with the stone top and all the beautiful clothes installed!

Andrea is fabulous! I hadn't originally planned to do the closets in my apartment and just as i moved in, they were broken. Andrea came and was able to meet with me within a few days of getting in touch. When she arrived she was able to figure out exactly what i needed to plan for across my 4 closets so quickly! and her team did the work flawlessly. The shelving and storage is amazing...the work is beautiful...pricing was very reasonable...and the team left the place looking spotless! I would hire Andrea again in a heartbeat for closets design and organizing!

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
Kelly was a pleasure to work with. She came through one of my favorite Interior Designers and needed help to maximize storage in 4 closets. I encouraged the idea of creating a small utility closet to accommodate all of her brooms, mops, and ladder rather than mix those items in her office storage or coat closet. Kelly was extremely responsive and after we met she sent me photos and movies and an itemized list of all of her clothing and accessories so that I could design to fit them all in. We added a file drawer and pencil drawers to the walk-in closet to create a desk storage area so that she could keep her living room free from office items.

I hired Andrea to help me with a desperately needed closet redesign and to have a built-in bookshelf installed. She's a terrific designer. Her ideas were great, her vision was great, her creative process was great and her management of the work was great. I relied on her pretty extensively for creative input and for helping me understand both what would look beautiful in the space while also being most functional. I'm so pleased with the final result. The crew that did the work was meticulous in installing the closets and bookshelf and in cleaning up. When I noted a few days later a couple of things that needed adjustment, they came back promptly to perform the work. Andrea is professional and expertly skilled. She's a great communicator and was always timely in responding to my calls and e-mails. Her work is beautiful and I would be very confident recommending her to others or hiring her again for any additional projects in the apartment.

Michael came to me through a colleague of his. He had several closets that were not functioning well and an area in his den that he wanted a wall unit to replace some freestanding bookshelves. We worked together to design a double hanging with a removable rod where he had an access door in his bedroom and created twice the storage. Sometimes the simplest fixes are the best. In his den we created shelving to house more books and supplies in the reach-in closet. Below you can see the before and after.
We are so happy with the work Andrea and her crew did for our apartment!!! We completely re-did a bedroom walk in closet, a utility closet and a large all purpose storage/coat closet, and all 3 came out amazing! Andrea came over a few times for measurements and consultations, sent over design renderings and images of what our closets would look like, and helped us figure out the best way to build each one out in order to maximize space and organization for our needs. The closets were installed a few weeks later and it took about 4-5 hours total with no issues. We are extremely happy with the work and professionalism all around, and would highly recommend using Andrea for your future custom closet projects!

I was happy to help Alina who came to me through a co-worker who I had designed closets for. She was knee deep in construction and needed help to figure out what was best to do for creating the most storage economically as construction was coming to an end. I was able to work with the contractor and Alina to figure out where to build return walls for the closets and not take away from the living room that they were sharing space with. Below are the before photos that represent the 2 closets Alina posted photos of.
Andrea was wonderful to work with. She was clear, helpful, and experienced and helped us have the closets we hoped for. Our space was maximized and we never doubted she'd be there for us if anything wasn't 100% to our liking. You won't regret working with Andrea!

Ali reached out to me on a Friday in August, requesting a Sunday meeting while I was on my annual vacation where I regroup and replenish for a week or more by the sea and tend to answer emails but put off meetings and scheduling. I responded that I had openings for the first week in September. He responded that he needed an install before the end of September. I told him that would not be a problem. Ali was so polite, respectful of my time and my vacation in his email that I met with him via phone that day. He emailed me floor plans and when I returned since all of our schedules were hectic we then with his wife via phone again a few times to go over details, styles, choices and I was able to design everything before we met in person the following week. We finalized plans that day and installed the closets before the last week in September. One of the closets had the usual new building/reno access panels we needed to avoid. It worked well to accommodate long gowns.

We have had an exceptional experience working with Andrea. We originally contacted her over 2 years ago to discuss our Dressing Room, which was part of an overall Master Suite redesign. We had to delay the commencement of the project at our end for nearly 18 months during which time we stayed in contact, with Andrea touching base every couple of months to see how things were progressing. She was incredibly patient with the many changes that we made during that period both with design and materials. Her suggestions were always thoughtful and clearly communicated. She was phenomenally particular with regard to the final measurements which made all the difference when it came to the install. The final install was seamless, the crew were on time and finished exactly when they said would. We could not be happier with the final result, not only is our Dressing Room one of the most beautiful rooms in our house it is extremely well thought out and practical with all of our belongings fitting perfectly and everything having it's place. We cannot thank Andrea enough for all her hard work and patience. We recommend her whole heartedly and look forward to working with her again.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
I loved working with Susan on this project. It was almost 3 years from our first meeting to finished install and well worth it. It is definitely one of my favorite dressing rooms I have designed. It was great to be in on the first steps of deciding how much room to take from the existing master bedroom and how large to make the dressing room itself. It was a pleasure to work with a client as easy going as Susan and one who had a keen sense of design herself. Her contractor was wonderful and helpful during the process of determining window trim and radiator positioning along with so much more. When her sister an Interior Designer came in from Ireland we sat and reviewed all of our initial ideas and although some changed it was great to have another eye on the details. She and Susan were instrumental in choosing the killer hardware that made the room elegant and unique. All time favorite white dressing room so far! Hard to believe what the space once looked like. See before below.

We are so grateful to have worked with Andrea! Living in NYC, maximizing storage space is super important. We spent a lot of time at The Container Store and quickly realized those prices were almost DOUBLE that of Andrea/Queen of Kerfluffle. Andrea was extremely responsive, professional, and always willing to make the effort to explain her vision for our closets (5 in total). A++ work and will definitely recommend to all friends in the area.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
Gina recently reached out to me for some additional shelves which I was happy to have dropped off to her. I often get requests a year or two after an install to get more shelves when an area may be repurposed. I tend to shy away for that matter from slanted shoe shelves because they cannot be used for anything else. Needs change over time and shelving and closet design should be versatile. I love a happy client and am so glad Gina and Steve remain pleased with the closets after all this time. I remember we had to build around some phone wire obstructions and we were able to increase storage dramatically from the existing closet. See the before and after below.

After moving to our new house with the tiniest master bedroom closet, we knew we would have to make upgrades right away. The only practical place to put a new closet was at one end of the room that also had a sloped ceiling and skylight. With Andrea's advise (and help from our contractor) we had the entire closet rebuilt to use the space efficiently. Andrea was then able to design everything to maximize storage space for all our hanging clothes, plus plenty of drawers, hooks, and shelving. She was able to work around our schedule and installation time was minimal. I'm so happy with our new closet and I can't wait to have her back to organize the other spaces in our home.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
Erin called me for advice on how to create an area for a large master bedroom closet with a sloped ceiling. I gave her input as to some space requirements to walk in and not bang your head and be able to turn to cabinetry at either end. She was having a meeting with a contractor shortly after our initial phone meeting. I suggested she call me once the space was near finish so I could measure and we could design based on her needs. Because of the angle of the ceiling/walls I was able to enlarge the open space by hanging the rods to the back of the panels and therefore have the clothing not stick out in front. It was a win win for storage!

Andrea did an incredible job on our new apartment! She came up with designs to truly help me and my husband share a walk in closet in a way that works great for both of us. She also helped us design a very cute and functional closet for our daughter in her bedroom and transformed our Washer/Dryer unit space to accommodate more shelving as well. The materials that we chose are of very solid and high quality and really match the design of the apartment.
Andrea was very professional, personal, kind, and honest. She has been a delight to work with! She under promised and over delivered for sure. Out of all of the contractors that we have used to improve our apartment, she was the best value, the most professional, and the easiest experience. We’re super happy about the end result and she finished our project in record time!
We highly recommend her. She has tons of experience and can come up with truly unique solutions to maximize space and design. She’s the New York Closet Whisperer. Above and beyond the call of duty! Choose her and you’ll be telling all of your friends!

Claire reached out to me after seeing me on Bravo TV designing a dressing room for Bethenny and Fredrik to flip a property at 10 Madison Square West. Claire and Don were moving back east from Los Angeles to Manhattan and needed to maximize storage in their new place. We met via phone, reviewed their existing closets via photos and then met in the space to finalize all the bells and whistles. It was a pleasure working with them as a couple. They knew what they wanted aesthetically (brushed brass accessories and dark wood drawer faces) and they gladly took advice on layout and organization. They also have a beautiful baby girl who was a gem and a pleasure to have with us for our entire design meeting. I love my clients!!!

I worked with Andrea in May 2017. She designed all of our closets in our house. She was truly amazing to work with. She really listened to our needs as a family and provided storage solutions that were very practical. She designed all three of my children's closet. She made sure that the closet space and drawers would work for them as they grow. The installation of the closets went very smoothly. Her team was organized, efficient and meticulous. Once I started putting all of the items into my closets I really got to see how gifted Andrea is! I truly love each and every one of my closets! I am so happy and will definitely work with Andrea again! Thank you Andrea your the best!!

Jenna is an old friend who reached out to me for a recommendation to do closets on Long Island not knowing I covered that area! I was thrilled to see her after so many years and to be able to help her with her new home. We initially met at her rental home prior to her new place being completely renovated. We worked off of floor plans and spent time together determining exactly what was needed in terms of storage and organization in all of new the closets. With 3 kids and an active life things needed to be in order and accessible. Because it was such a large house with double the storage space of their rental and they weren't sure how each area on the main floor would be utilized I suggested we hold off on a few closets being done until the next year when they knew better what they would need. We concentrated on the dressing room in the Master, the kids closets and all of the coat and linen closets. I went back this year and completed the garage and the extra reach-ins. Jenna has become a master organizer with the label maker!!! I wish her and her family all the best in their beautiful home.

Sharon came via a friend referral and needed help with some closets in her new place in Long Island City . She was able to send me measurements and existing closet photos. I had to design around several obstructions but with the photos and a sketch of a floor plan I gave her a quote before ever meeting in person. We worked together as her closing date changed and we got her an install in a timely manner. The Before and After photos speak for themselves.
Andrea did two walk-in closets for me, also redid my hallway closet and added a couple of shelves to cabinets.
Excellent work and service. I'm happy with the installation, quality and reasonable pricing. Note, I have been using my closets for a year now, still happy!
It took two visits to do the project, one visit to take the measurements and to suggest initial design and another visit to install. Andrea submitted proposal quickly, turned it around in a couple of days, then we chatted over the phone and via email to modify and finalize the design. There was a couple of weeks wait to do the install, she was fully booked. Andrea knows her craft well and very easy to work with. Installation took about 5 hours, two people came to do the install, very efficient, they painted the closets and cleaned everything up. If I ever need another closet installation – I will certainly use her services again. Happy to recommend her.

Andrea came highly recommended by friends who had just done remodeling work (including custom closets by Andrea) on their apartment. Their advice - shop around, then give Andrea a call.
Frankly, we found that a lot of what's out there is overpriced, is more "modular" than "custom" (ie if we had very specific size requirements that did not match their modules, they simply could not help us), and while expensive, didn't really look it.
Then we called Andrea - she totally understood what we were trying to do. When I started drawing out our idea for the walk-in closet, instead of saying what others did ("oh, we can't do a U-shape with shelves only 11-inches deep), Andrea immediately said, "Oh, so it's a shoe closet - I've done a bunch of these; let me show you some pictures!".
We had Andrea build us a "his" custom closet, "hers" custom 11-foot long wardrobe, walk-in sneaker closet, and custom kids closet. We could not be happier - Andrea's team was professional and friendly, and the materials used look better than anything we saw in those competing showrooms and feel sturdier. Oh, and Andrea's price was much more reasonable, especially given how customized the job was.
One last point - Andrea's team has been amazing with following up; we had a stiff hinge on one of the wardrobe doors this week (4 months after work was completed), but Andrea had someone on site to fix it the same week!
A+ and our highest recommendations!!!

I was really surprised when Ron told me the other Closet companies he had met with could not design and build a simple shoe closet. I had just built one for a well known Rap musician who had an enormous collection of "kicks" as he called them so I understood what Ron was looking for. I love a "shoe corral" which is what I call a U shaped closet for shoes.
It was also fun to create a complete wall of storage for Ron and his wife including drawers and hampers and hanging space. The textured melamine complimented the clean lines of the room and provided so much storage. Win win!

I wish that you could give more than 5 stars for a review! Andrea and here team were truly amazing!
Andrea came to project location several times, took measurement, reconfirmed measurements, worked through many different scenarios, and offered up different ideas and solutions for our project. Andrea was also very accessible through email, phone, or text. Andrea was also very respectful of our budget and worked out different solutions and provided different options for the design. Andrea wasn't pushy with any suggestions at all, you truly felt at ease with her.
Andrea's designs and sketches became a reality when her installers Tim and Eric came. Tim and Eric were extremely punctual (I believe to the minute), courteous, and professional. When they left our house it was as if they were never there! Except for the fact that my wife now had here dream closet!!!
You can tell that Andrea truly has a passion for her art . We are so very thankful that our paths crossed with hers! If anyone is considering a project with Andrea, they don't have to worry as the will be in the best hands possible!

Lily needed help with some closets and organization. They were not adjustable and had shelves which were far too deep and therefore accumulated things one could not see or access. Creating a home office in a small space in a classic Manhattan building was a challenge. I was able to increase work surface area from the original desk and yet not close in the space with upper cabinetry above the desk. Instead I added cabinets to the bookshelf area for increased storage. I feel it's extremely important not to feel clutter or closed in when working at a desk. Happy clients are a joy!

She also pays attention to budget, and helps you prioritize so that you don't spend money on a feature that you may not really need. I really appreciated this, and I love my new closets! Andrea was excellent. My family moved from NYC to the suburbs and, while we knew we needed to redo the closets in our entire home, did not know where to begin. Andrea was able to have amazing closets designed, which was not an easy task, considering she had not seen what we were coming in with and was relying purely on my (probably inaccurate) descriptions and measurements. She was very responsive and very professional throughout the entire process. Would highly recommend her!

Andrea is a talented and extremely efficient closet designer and organiser. We had worked with California Closets in the past and had also obtained an estimate for the closets in our new apartment from them. I decided to speak to Andrea to get a second opinion, and she made our closets much more efficient based on our needs (she visited our existing apartment to see what we had), finding more space for hanging.
When it came to preparing the closets, I had some issues with my contractor and was struggling to find someone to do the work in time for installation. Andrea stepped in and arranged for one of her team to strip, patch paint and fully prep the closets with just 2 days notice, so that we did not have to push installation back again.
I would not hesitate to recommend Andrea to anyone looking to refresh their closets, be it with new installations or organisation - she knows what she's talking about!!

I was happy to be able to help Jazz who was expecting her second child and in a stressful situation with moving and unreliable contractors. I was thrilled when Andrea said she had found a recommendation for me on a website I had never heard of before. Apparently one of my former clients belonged to the local site called Next Door a group for the Larchmont, NY area. She had decided not to do an add on to her historic house with sloped ceilings in her closet and called me in to help re-think it all. I helped her and her husband John with layout ideas and with the idea of moving the door a few inches over to accommodate an additional shelving unit. And suggested moving the hanging further back to create more space to move around and creating more of a dressing room feel. The final results were wonderful.

Before I contacted Andrea I felt totally overwhelmed everytime I opened a closet.... getting dressed shouldn't induce anxiety so I knew I needed to do something about it! Enter Andrea, she was amazing!!! I live in an apartment and didn't want to invest a ton in permanent solutions. Andrea spent time understanding my concerns/needs and suggested temporary fixes that would make a huge difference to my current space without breaking the bank. Andrea was able to accomplish in a few hours what would have taken months to accomplish on my own (or not at all). I felt like I was working with (a very organized) friend and the time flew by. I can't reccomend her highly enough!!!

When Kia first contacted me I thought she needed me to redesign her closets but once we spoke I realized she was not going to be there for more than a year and needed help reorganizing her existing closets and making them more functional. We spoke at length before meeting so she could get all the items we needed saving her time and money. She thought we would only conquer 2 closets at a time, but we were able to reorganize 4 in 6 hours! It was my pleasure working with Kia and I am sharing the before and after collages here!
Andrea came highly recommended, and after working with her for several months, I understand why. First of all, Andrea was great with communication. She promptly returned emails and phone calls and was just a complete pleasure to work with. Andrea's designs for a home office space and closets were well thought out. She did not mind spending the time with myself and my husband in tweaking layout and colors. We never felt rushed or pressured. She asked detailed questions about what we needed. We couldn't be more pleased with the final product! Andrea made our lives more organized and thus less stressful!!! Thanks so much!!!

Tara reached out to me after getting a recommendation on HRP Mamas from one of my former clients. She was in need of custom closets for a new place in a brand new building she was moving in to in 2 weeks time. We were able to meet within days and get her existing closet rods and shelves the builder had installed removed for her and install 6 newly designed closets for her in 2 weeks time. So glad we were able to get her closets for her before she moved in. See before and after of one closet below. We had to design around several access panels and still accommodate for the family's need for shoes storage and gloves and hats for everyone.
For the second time, Andrea Gary has used every inch of space to design, customize, and install five exquisite closets for our move to a new condominium at Hudson Harbor. Her brilliant "coup" this time was turning a clothing closet into a computer station, which we originally thought might be placed in the utility closet. The Queen of Kerfuffle listened to our thoughts and, with her innate creative flair, pointed out that we really needed the larger closet for storage; she purposed opening up the smaller closet into a unique, working computer space and library which has become the showplace of our new den.
Andrea, a true professional, spent four hours thoroughly assessing our needs when we downsized from our four-story house six years ago, counting every book and shoe before devising a plan for all the items we wished to keep. Her work, done in a timely fashion within our budget, enhanced the value of that first apartment and, most importantly, provided us with a comfortable living space for which we have been most grateful. About to embark likewise on her new creation, we recommend without reservation the unique services of this most competent designer, who goes the extra mile to oversee the actual installation, ensuring perfection of the final product which she crafts.

Jim and Donna Quinn are two of my favorite clients. Every time I meet them they greet me with smiles and open arms. They are truly wonderful people and I feel lucky to have been able to work for them designing both of their beautiful condos at Hudson Harbor in Tarrytown. I was thrilled to come up with the idea of the office in a closet so that they would not have to give up a walk in closet and so that they could work with a view of the river. I look forward to seeing it when they are finally settled in with all their books and decorative items on the shelves!

Andrea is a dream with whom to work. In the midst of a major construction project we decided to incorporate the master bedroom closets. She studied the spaces, listened to our needs and created perfect closets for us. My 6'5" husband has a closet that now fit as all of his extra long clothes, and I, at 5'1" am able to reach all of my clothes as well store all of my shoes, accessories and jewelry in one place.
The installers were very professional and left the closets immaculate when finished.
We will certainly use Andrea for all future organization projects.

I just did a complete house renovation. Andrea was by far the best experience I had with any contractor. She has incredible knowledge of what she does and has great ideas. She is also keenly meticulous to details. She stays with the project from its initial meeting until the very end. She and her team are so professional, reliable and pleasant to work with. All the closets are fabulous but my bedroom closet is a dream come true for me. I couldn't be happier with my experience. I have worked with other closet companies In the past and there was no comparison.

Having worked with Chris and Louis on their last home it was great to be invited into a new full renovation. They are both visionaries in their own way. I love working with them to make their ideas come to fruition. It's always a challenge working in sloped areas for closets. I was able to pull the cabinetry forward on the left side and allow for storage behind by not blocking it with backing. I also was able to accommodate double hanging by moving the cabinetry forward. It was a win-win. So nice to have clients who appreciate my work and attention to detail. I consider Chris not only a client but now a friend. Another win-win.
The most important thing I can say about Andrea is Life Saver!!!!
After renovating our kitchen and being confronted with the daunting task of unpacking and organizing way too many boxes, I contacted Andrea. I was completely overwhelmed and had no idea where to begin! Andrea arrived arrived and as I unpacked the seeming endless supply of boxes, Andrea analyzed the situation and created an organization process. Before I knew it she had the items categorized, shelves moved and everything efficiently stored away! I was amazed! Andrea even gave me a list of items to purchase to make my newly organized kitchen even more efficient. I not only highly recommend Andrea but I plan to use her for many projects. The Queen of Kerfuffle has earned her title and inspired me to organize every room of the house. If you want organization and an immediate sense of accomplishment in any home project, call Andrea!

So happy I was able to both help and inspire Di with kitchen organizing. She called on a weekend and was overwhelmed and didn't know where to begin. I was able to schedule her within a few days and within 6 or 7 hours we had 20 boxes unpacked into her newly renovated kitchen and I gave her links for organizing items to maximize her cabinet storage. So happy I could help her with her beautiful new kitchen. Attached you will see one drawer organized!

One word...."AMAZING". Andrea just gets it! I thought this project would be painful but she just took control and analyzed my "stuff" and built 3 closet systems that worked for my family. I loved her candid and honest professionalism, she never tried to over sell and always gave me options and then was very respectful of my decisions.

We had a flood in our apartment and without question Andrea managed to hold the closet for us (for an egregious amount of time) on a few days notice (install was set to be completed DAYS after the floors) until we could replace the floors and finally install. They are now installed and are nicer than california closets and more affordable. I would have gotten a really basic low level CA closet and what I have from Andrea is way nicer. I think the customer service alone in this instance speaks volumes. Additionally, she was flexible when I wanted to make some changes to the design/add things throughout the process and consultative on what made sense (don't waste $ on that etc) vs what didnt

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
We were ready to install with all materials at the end of February 2015 after many months of renovation when I got a call from Sara letting me know they had a flood from their upstairs neighbors and had to postpone. We initially though it would be 30-60 days for insurance and construction to rectify everything. It turned into a 7 month ordeal for her and I was so glad I was able to accommodate her during that period by storing the materials free of charge.
When we finally got to install in late September her long awaited walk-in closet and reach-in for her husband were everything she had hoped for and more.

Every time I walked into our garage, I would think to myself that we really needed to tackle the project of reorganizing and finding an efficient and nice looking system to store all the STUFF! With three kids worth of sports gear, bikes, helmets and sidewalk chalk; a husband who golfs and has a healthy supply of tools and gardening supplies; and my own growing stash of outdoor Christmas décor - our plastic, snap together shelving was not cutting it anymore. I was referred to Andrea by a friend, and was so excited to be tackling this project! Andrea was a pleasure to work with; she is very personable, detail oriented, and was available to start on our project in a very reasonable time frame. She came in and assessed our needs, asking lots of questions about what we would be storing and working to make the most efficient use of the space. Andrea had quick turnaround on the design, and was definitely cost-conscious. She suggested how to trim costs and never pushed for upgrades on anything. Andrea had a lot of great ideas - I love the baskets for all the loose sports gear, and now everything has a space so it won't get cluttered. I am completely pleased with how our garage storage units came out, and the wall storage hooks are perfect for our bikes, ski gear and tools. I highly recommend Andrea Gary, and will definitely use her again for my organizing and custom storage projects!

It was my pleasure to work with Kristin on her garage organization project. She has a beautiful home and family and just needed help to put all their stuff away and have it be in categories and easily accessible. I loved the makeover of this garage so much I created a "Garage Makeover" project on my profile here on Houzz. See the before and after example below.
When I moved into my house 4 years ago, I contacted a company to come in to give me suggestions to reconfigure my closets because there was so much wasted space that I so desperately needed. They came in, measured, and determined that there was nothing they could do to enhance the existing space.
After strong recommendations from two friends, I called Andrea to see if there was anything she could do to help maximize my closet space. From my first meeting with her, I felt so very comfortable with Andrea and new that she was the ultimate professional in this field. She talked with me about her ideas, what might work best for my current situation and how things could be adjusted to meet our needs in the future.
I loved her ideas, her honesty and her efficiency. We agreed upon the designs, the job was completed in just over one week and I couldn't be happier with the results!!! It was such a pleasure getting to know Andrea and working with her on this home improvement project!!

Lauren had some challenges in her master closet as you could not walk-in because they had hanging on both sides. I was able to reconfigure the space for her and create more storage and much nicer shelving to accommodate all of her clothes, shoes and misc items. Her second challenge was to create a closet for 2 of her girls because she was pregnant with her third child and was having them share a room to make way for their new sibling. What was once an underutilized closet became ample storage for both girls. I loved working with Lauren and her adorable girls on this project. See the before and after photos I have shared below.

I moved into my new apt. with bare closets and decided it was time for some closet customization. I found Andrea's business on Houzz and liked what I saw. I contacted Andrea and she got back to me within 24 hours. We set up an consultation and she was pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. It was clear she knew what would work and what wouldn't work and had some excellent tips that made a big difference in the final project- like having a space for my vacuum cleaner! The work was completed as scheduled and I'm having so much fun putting everything away so neatly! (picture attached is a work in progress but you'll get the idea)

Andrea was a pleasure to work with. She designed two walk in closets for our master bedroom suite. Her experience and expertise created a delightful and easy to use set up in spaces that weren't that roomy, but she made room!
She returned calls and emails promptly and was always on time, professional and personable. I would use her services again and would recommend her to anyone in need of closet and storage work.

After designing their Home Office several years ago Marsha contacted me to work on a Master bedroom dressing area including 2 walk-in closets and a wall of drawers to compliment an existing vanity. I was so pleased to see that the built-in unit was a great match for the dressing table and that their closets provided them with better and more accessible storage. I so appreciate my repeat clients as it is a pleasure to reconnect and be able to help them at the same time.

I engaged Andrea Gary to do a complete shelving design and installation in the condo I purchased this spring. I was moving from a larger house, so it was crucial for me to have storage areas that were tailored to my needs. In other words, I needed not only space for clothes but also for household items, boxes of files, etc. Andrea took the time to get to know me and my requirements. She looked at photos of my old closets, walked through the new condo with me, and asked a lot of questions. Next she came up with a design plan for: a hall closet, two walk-in closets, 2 sliding-door closets, and a utility area.
The graphic plan she presented was very detailed. Together we made some modifications and she provided a cost estimate. Her installers arrived when they said they would and did a neat and professional job, supervised by Andrea.
I highly recommend Andrea Gary for her talent, professionalism, design sense, and attention to details.

Many of my clients like Helen are moving from large houses into condos. Although moving in general can be stressful - downsizing can add to the challenge. I pride myself on being able to walk my clients through the process having experienced it myself and as a professional organizer. It was great to bump into Helen a few weeks ago after she had long settled into her new digs and see how happy she was living there. We tried to keep the design for her storage simple and functional. So glad it all worked out so well.
I have referred Ms Anrea Gary over and over again and not once have we ever experienced any disatification. Actually she went over and beyond the call of duty many times!! The work is done very timely and very professionally. The attention to detail is why I keep referring Ms. Gary!! Wonderful, honest and caring person! A real Joy to work with! I had referred woman who very recently became a widow, plus she was downsizing from a big house to a nice condo! Ms. Gary was so patient & so understanding that I received THANK YOU'S from not only her children but also from two of her Grandchildren! Unheard of in my line of work!! Ms. Gary is proof that their are still good people in this world because she goes over and beyond the call of duty! She is truly the BEST!!

I am thrilled with the beautiful closet that Andrea designed and installed for me. I had some ideas about how I might change a small office off my bedroom into a walk-in closet, and Andrea was able to take my ideas and run with them. She brought so much expertise to the project, adding accessories. giving me so much storage, but more than anything, really making it beautiful. I was thinking about having a place to put things away, and I ended up with a showpiece, a room I can really enjoy. She was pleasure to work with, always listening to what I wanted, and while being very respectful, still willing to speak up when she thought something else would work better. And that's what working with an expert should be -- they listen, but make sure you are still getting the best.

It was so much fun to redesign a small home office into a dream dressing room! Liz and I worked closely together via phone and email to create the final design - from layout and panel heights, to melamine colors, to decorative knob ideas, accessories and optimum storage we were able to deliver a beautiful showpiece. This represents my first Boston install as well so I am particularly proud of this since I was not there until the day of the install when I also helped to organize the entire closet. You can see the empty room, the installed product in the photos below.

Andrea was lovely to work with overall. She took the time to suss out the best configuration for all of my closets, given the constraints of the materials, etc and was even as kind to come back and do a final measurement in person. My only complaints are 1. I do wish Andrea would have come the day of to check on the project. While the guys who did the work were efficient (that they were 45 minutes late did not seemed to have no effect on getting it done), it would have been nice had she checked in in person. That being said, she did call and check up several times after the project had been completed and apologized for not making it on site. 2. The guys, who I mentioned above and were very professional, were also hired to do some painting and patching -- and in one of the closets, they got a little sloppy and splattered paint on the floor.
I do understand these things happen. And I overall I do love being able to put everything away in one place.

I was happy to be able to help Ariane with her four closets which were not outfitted properly for storage. She had a particularly challenging bedroom closet with deep returns and I was able to reconfigure the storage to accomodate all of her hanging, folded and linen storage in a creative way(see before and after photos below). I do let my clients know that I normally do not attend the installs especially in apartments where I will be in the way of my people doing their work. With all of that being said I am glad that Ariane was ultimately happy with her closets and glad I was able to provide her with them.

When Marsha contacted me to design her closet she told me she had been thinking about redoing it for more than 10 years. I was glad to be able to help create more organized storage with updated materials in her walk-in closet. She had very specific needs for each of the 7 areas so we worked closely on designing each section to suit her needs. So glad after all the years of pondering her project came to fruition and I was able to help!
Andrea was extremely knowledgeable about organization and had helpful suggestions about how to customize my closets. She was an excellent listener and provided her recommendations based on my needs. Andrea was easy to talk with, quite friendly, and showed up, or called, when she said she would do either. She also made herself available during the installation to make certain that everything was completed correctly and according to plans.

I was happy that Bonnie chose to work with me after meeting with several other Closet Designers. She told me she did because she liked me and I know after seeing the other designs I could create better storage at a more reasonable price with a well thought out plan. I absolutely love the Wall unit we designed in her Home Office to house her cherished collection of antique cookie jars.
Andrea was excellent throughout the entire process of remodeling two closets for us. We recently moved to an apartment with much less closet space than our previous apartment. So we needed help and guidance to optimize the closets in our new place. Andrea worked closely with us, answered all our questions, gave wonderful advice and expertly guided us from beginning to end. We couldn't be happier with our two new closets or Andrea's work.

I hired Andrea to reconfigure two reach-in closets and one walk-in closet in my home. Working with Andrea felt like a breath of fresh air! She is not only thoughtful and smart when it comes to organizing, but also really proactive in getting the work done efficiently. I had been dragging my feet for over two years to redo my closets, thinking that it would be a huge headache, but with Andrea at the helm the whole process seemed quick and easy. She is an expert at what she does and clearly has the process down to a science. That said, I never felt as though she was simply going through the motions. She listened carefully to me and devised storage solutions based on my specific needs. I also appreciated her transparency with regard to costs and her willingness to suggest ways in which I could save money. I will definitely turn to Andrea for future closet and organization projects.

Space planning. Andrea has a real talent for seeing a space and helping you design it for maximum storage capacity and functionality. So enjoyed working with Joanne again after designing her home office storage closet several years ago. We are both designers and obsessed with details so we work well together. This time we created a multi-function storage closet to accommodate grandkids toys, photo equipment, shipping materials, guest hanging and linens. We had fun using bright color leatherette wraps on the slide-out baskets. We also created a wall unit of storage for her husband's home office.

Andrea did a wonderful job helping me decorate my new smaller condo. Her creative suggestions
(that no one else could visualize) enabled me to create extra storage by using some of my old cabinets and furniture in new places.
Her suggestions for new pieces for my bedroom perfectly matched my needs and budget.
She has an incredible eye for detail and drew out a floor plan that was perfect.
Andrea is extremely professional. Her enthusiasm over all of her "finds" for me made the project so much easier. I would highly recommend her and will use her again for future decorating needs.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
I so enjoyed helping Dottie to consolidate, downsize and decorate her new condo. I was able to layout a floor-plan and decide which of her furniture to keep. We were able to repurpose old bookcases and cabinets for new storage in lieu of building in cabinetry in her den and laundry room. We shopped together for new items including couches, coffee tables, rugs, lamps, barstools and bedroom furniture. We picked an entirely new, more romantic scheme for her bedroom and a sleeker more sophisticated look for her new living room. Adding a backsplash to her kitchen changed the entire look of her wooden cabinets. All in all it was a great project to work on.

New construction projects are always unpredictable in terms of timing. I was glad that we were able to be flexible and accommodating when Joan's installation dates changed several times. In the end it all turned out wonderfully. The biggest obstacle was building around all the equipment in the entry hall closet and still providing ample coat, hat and glove storage.

It was my pleasure working with Todd and Savina to design their closets for their new home. Again with new construction the project had to be rescheduled several times but I was happy to deliver my designs on time and prior to their move-in so that they could unpack and settle in without any more challenges.
I had my closets re-shelved and re-designed by the very affordable and affable Andrea Gary. She was so professional but my favorite part was how reliable and fast she was at answering my questions. Not to mention the fact that three weeks after I first consulted with her, my closets were completely finished--in one day, no less! Everything from the measurements and the design, to the building insurance was taken care of for me. All I had to do was let them into the building! She also stopped by to see the finished product. I am so thrilled to recommend her for future work and will most certainly refer her to others.

It was my pleasure working with Nirav and Alma during their major gut renovation of their Upper East Side apartment. I designed several of the closets, including a his and hers walk through dressing room in textured melamine. I wish them well in their first home.
My wife and I were very satisfied with the renovation of our closets. Our designer came highly recommended and exceeded our expectations. The project from start to finish took about a month, which was quick due to the fact that they come out to understand what they are working with and what our objectives were, take measurements, provide an architectural drawling, and complete the work. All materials were high quality and the execution was flawless. We would highly recommend this designer and team.

My clients are big travelers so we worked around their schedule to get them a convenient install time. They were not able to paint their closet as planned, prior to our install as the photo shows. We were able to still install and deliver on time and the clients were thrilled.
I hired Andrea to design and install a walk in closet in our new apartment (approx 6x6). She had excellent ideas that were not overpriced. She even looked at photos of what we had in our old closets to make sure we maxmized our space. The turn around was very quick and the installation was perfect. We were very pleased!

I hired Andrea to help me create display/storage for fabric samples in my design showroom in Greenwich, CT. She immediately understood my vision and we created the perfect solution for me to showcase the beautiful fabrics we offer. Andrea was extremely thorough and professional. Her installation team reflected her professional and thorough work ethic, they were on time, very detail oriented and after they made sure I was happy with the work, they left the place clean! Andrea was a dream to work with and I look forward to working with her on future projects!

I worked with Gina in stages installing three separate areas of display and storage for her exquisite window treatment showroom in Greenwich, CT. I had to design around a very uneven floor and ceiling and HVAC vents and soffits. The week before the Grand Opening she discovered she needed an extra unit to house the large folios they use for samples and we were able to get it installed within the week. It was a pleasure to see it all come together and celebrate the opening! We continue to work together on several client projects and I am glad to have made a new friend as well.
We hired Andrea Gary's company to build out a small closet for us in our baby nursery. Andrea was very professional and was able to design a plan for our closet to help maximize the space. Her prices were fair so we went ahead with the design. Tim who came to our house to install the closet was very nice, clean and efficient. Overall we are very happy with this service and the final product.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
This was a small closet with challenges as it had a large obstruction on the right lower section a deep return nook which appeared to be built partially over a staircase so could not be removed. I was able to create hanging, shelving in the easy access area where ince there was only a rod, and a deeper backup area for baby supplies to maximize storage. Glad I was able to get it done quickly and below budget before the bay arrives.
I can't rave about Andrea enough. Along with her team she built me the most amazing storage space. The best part they did this all in one day. Very easy to work with... I am so picky and I don't have one complaint. Highly recommend her!

Joelle was a pleasure to work with. She had been looking into her project for a year and had been frustrated with prior closet design professionals so was skeptical when she contacted me. We hit it off right away and I was able to design her dream wallunit with headboard storage area behind the bed. While I was visiting the installation we even facetimed with her Mom to show her the progress and final product. It was great work and great fun and in the end all the toughest critics Mom and husband were more than pleased. This is why I love what I do. Happy clients!
Andrea was great! We hired her to help us with new closets for an apartment we are renting. Because it is a rental we did not want to spend a lot of money. Andrea was quick and efficient and within just 3 weeks of contacting her our closets were in! We now want to hire her to help us move into the closets too! She is highly professional and knowledgable. We give her the highest recommendation possible!

I was so happy to be able to design and install 5 closets for Lucy and Matt quickly and to give them exactly what they needed in their temporary home without breaking the bank. They showed me their existing closets and storage and we talked about all of their needs in the next 2-3 years before they purchase. I look forward to being able to help them get organized in their new apt. and in their future homes. And it was a special treat to meet their adorable daughters.

Andrea did a terrific job building out my closets. My walk in closet had only three clothing racks and a top shelf. I now have ample storage for all my clothes, shoes, accessories and linens with four racks for short hanging clothes, one rack for long hanging clothes, four drawers, and six shelves. Andrea transformed my closet into a space that I actually want to spend time in! She also designed my entryway closet that formerly had only one rack. She maximized every inch of the space by creating two racks for short hanging clothes and eight shelves for shoes. Thanks to Andrea, I now have my dream closet!!

Eloisa called me to help redesign her closets in order to be more organized and create addtional storage which is like gold in Manhattan. I was able to double most of her storage in each of 3 closets. I also saved her thousands of dollars by encouraging her to order an economical Wall Unit for her bedroom rather than have me build one in. I suggested a better more open layout for the furniture and in the end her bedroom was more open - had a whole new wall of storage - and was much more appealing. See 2 before and after photos below.

Andrea is truly amazing! She transformed our 2 new closets, (one with an extremely challenging layout) to maximize our space. We are loving her work.
Her price was the best out of 3 others we quoted, and the job was completed in 1 week turn around time!
She was honest ,knowledgeable, and a true professional.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
Robyn had called me in last summer when she was referred by another client from New Rochelle to retrofit her existing closets and then after following up a few times I did not hear back from her. I don't like to pester people and I got very busy so I was pleasantly surprised when Robyn called me 6 months later to tell me they had put an addition on their home and wanted me now to design the new master closets. They were painting when I went to measure and needed the job done quickly - I was able to get it done as Robyn said in one week and under budget. The challenges were the HVAC being an afterthought and having to build in front of it and the classic sloped ceilings.
I was referred to Andrea through my designer. She came over promptly and made suggestions and listened to what I wanted. After measuring the four closets I decided to redo , she got back to me with designs and an estimate. We had just moved and I was anxious to get them done as soon as possible. We made a date and her men showed up promptly, did a fabulous job and I couldn't be happier with the results .

Sue came to me via Justina of AT HOME INTERIORS who is a top notch decorator. Sue was downsizing from a large condo to a rental and found the new closets to have limited storage. Within a week I was able to have 4 closets redesigned. I provided the tearout services and was able to get all 4 closets installed in a few hours. Knowing that it was a rental I was also able to stay within Sue's budget and still maximize her storage needs. Where once there was only a rod and some shelves falling apart I created double-hanging(as seen in the photo).Glad I was able to help Sue in her time of transition.

Working with Andrea to design our walk in closets, linen closet and my office was an absolute pleasure. After experiencing great disappointment with another designer, we found Andrea and could not be happier with her design layout and the quality of the products. Andrea took the time to understand our needs and her design was practical and mindful of cost. Andrea did an incredible job for us. She is the best.

I found Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle to be most professional in displaying her knowledge/experience in accepting the job. Ms. Gary's ability to assess the assignment and meet the needs and demands of the client remain without question. She appeared on site during the execution of the job so as to monitor the work as it was being performed. Certainly a plus! Please know that Andrea Gary is available to answer any and all questions and does return all phone calls with the utmost of promptness and courtesy.

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
Carolyn and Bert were lovely clients who went through a very stressful and elongated move to their condo after downsizing from a very large home. They were displaced from both homes for several months waiting for their closing. We met in July after they had consulted with another closet company. I ultimately was able to give them more storage and better designs at a much lower price. Finally in November we were able to install 2 walk-in closets, a pantry, a home office closet. Once they were settled in we added a laundry/storage area to the scope of work. I was so happy for them to finally be in their new home. While I was there to check on the install I even helped unpack their pantry!

Andrea redid 3 closets, built a linen/storage closet for the master bath and did a built in desk with file cabinets, bookshelves and storage drawers. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, her suggestions regarding different choices right on the money and to top it off the project was done in a timely manner. The work crew led by Tim was courteous and neat and cleaned up on completion. I am very pleased and would recommend her without hesitation!

Working with Rob on his newly constructed Carriage House was great. I was able to meet with him in his existing condo and create storage for all of his needs including an Home Office and Master Walk-in closets and a Linen Cabinet to match the bathroom Vanity. Thanks to him I also did all the closets for his neighbor's brand new home as well.

Moving from a large home to a condo can create storage challenges. Pat and I worked closely on every detail to maximize storage in her two walk-in closets. We are now looking at building her a home office. I was thrilled to see the final product and to have produced it for half the price of the custom millwork product!

Andrea was a great find. Not only did I enjoy working with her, the finished product was great as well.
My husband and I purchased new home over a year ago. We love the home, it is a beatiful tudor, but as typical with tudors from the 20's it has small closets. After a year, I couldn't take my messy small closets and I contacted Andrea to come to my home and help me figure out what to do with the closets in the master bedroom. Andrea was great. She designed shelving units and a hanging bar for the closets that were tailored to the needs that I presented to her. She also gave me some orgniational tips on what to do to my bedroom that would make it more comfortable and space friendly. Tips my husband and I will be taking.
A couple of weeks after I finalized how the new shelving and hanger space would look in my closet, her team showed up and in one day painted one of the closets and put new shelves and hanging bars i for both closets. My husband and I are both very happy with the result and we finally get good use out of our relatively small closets. My closet is a cedar closet and now that it has proper shelving and hanging bars it also seems bigger and I love it. I am am very pleased.

I always love to work on pre-war houses because the benefit of redesigning in small spaces is so great! I usually more than double the storage. It was great to meet and work with Dierdra who found me on Houzz. I was happy to give her organizing and design tips for her Master bedroom along with redesigning the 2 closets. It was wonderful to be able to get the work done for her in less than 2 weeks. I'm happy to have another happy client.

Andrea had done my walk-in bedroom closet when I lived with my parents prior to getting married in 2008 and I was very happy with it. She had also designed my parents' master bedroom closet, coat closet, and laundry closet. Now, in 2013, I tracked her down and was happy to see that she has her own company and has become very well-known in the industry.
Andrea was very easy to work with. She immediately responded to all my e-mails and calls and asnwered all my questions. I am a bit of a perfectionist and she certainly can understand that and has patience to deal with people like me. :-)
With that said, my master bedroom closet was finished only a week after I met with her and signed off on the drawings. It looks amazing and is just what I wanted. She managed to design a somehwat awkward shaped walk-in closet to a very clean design which maximizes all of the space my husband and I have in it. She took time to make sure we would fit what we needed perfectly and even measured my husband's belts and shirts to make sure they would hang without hitting the shelves.
She is very dedicated to what she does and I am very happy with the result. I would reccommend her to everyone. It is not cheap to have these closets installed, but if you were to do it yourself, you'd probably only save maybe $300-$400 and the time it would take to figure everything out would just be crazy. She knows what she is doing and she is worth every penney!

Stefanie found me by searching for me online several years after I had designed all of the closets for her parents condo. Her new condo had a strange shaped closet with many nooks, sloped ceiling and a large access panel. I was able to maximize storage for her. She had lots of questions along the way and obsessed about every detail so she would end up happy. I was glad to help her and provide her with a highly functional walk-in for her and her husband.

I loved working with Andrea!!!! With her vision and ideas, she totally revamped two of my mundane closets that were not fully functional and had tons of wasted space. Now I have great storage and I can utilize the entire space!! One of my closets even had attic and crawl space doorways and I was so impressed at how she was able to redesign the closet with full storage and still maintain my access to the doorways. I recommended her to all my friends! When it comes to closets she is definitely my "go to gal!!!"

It was my pleasure to help out Daniela and her husband with redesigning their closets to function better and store more. The MBR closet had several challenges including a trap door, a staircase and door to attic and a sloped ceiling. We spent time figuring out what worked best for them and their lifestyle within the space.

Andrea is a life - saver. She came into my apartment and restored order and calm to my closets. I felt like a ten pound weight had been lifted off of my shoulders when she was done. She brought original ideas and materials to the process and helped me every step along the way. She was reliable and flexible as well. All in all, my experience with her was fantastic!

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
It was my pleasure to work with Jessica to get her closets in better working order. Women who multitask (Work fulltime and are Moms) often don't have time or energy to reorganize their closets. I was happy to be able to get everything in ship shape so her life can run more smoothly. Putting off-season storage labeled up on high and putting like categories together in a closet help with the every day routine. Putting daily items in your sightline e.g. costume jewelry, belts and bags makes the morning routine a little easier. Changng the hangers to all be uniform and slide easily on the rods without tangling also helps! See before and after photos below.
Andrea and her staff provided quality products at a great price, installation went without a hitch and I would recommend Andrea to everyone

Andrea Gary had tremendous insight into how to design my closet and storage systems for an old house and for my lifestyle. The measurements were accurate and accommodated a few old house quirks. The materials, hardware and installation were excellent. All work was done professionally by respective and skilled staff. The design of the closest has enhanced the value of an old architecturally challenging house and has improved my quality of life and enjoyment of the home.

This beautiful 1920's home was great to redesign and it was my pleasure to work with Donna and her daughter to make all of their closets function better and accomodate their needs. I had a great time with Andrea in designing our dressing room. She is a very professional and passionate about what she do. Even though I live in Oman and we were skyping back and forth she managed to understand what I had in mind and delivered a beautiful and functional design. She is very patient and despite that we dress differently than what she's used to work with, Andrea managed to design a complete dressing room without flows. Thank you Andrea.

Designing for someone on the other side of the world was a wonderful experience. My client Nuha found me on Houzz and wrote to me asking if I could design her new closet for her new home. I truthfully had never heard of the country of Oman and wondered if it was a real request. We eventually met and skyped over the course of 2 months working with floor plans of their newly constructed Villa and from photos of their clothing we were able to come up with a beautiful Dressing Room design to meet all their needs. We went back and forth making several changes along the way to produce exactly what would work in their climate and with their lifestyle. I learned the names of the clothing - like Dishdashas and so much more. I can't wait to see the finished product when it is built. I am happy to say I also now have a dear friend in Oman.
Working with Andrea Gary on my new office was an absolute pleasure. She immediately understood what I needed and added smart elements that enhanced the design and functionality of the plan. She kept my budget at the forefront, but was creative in suggesting ways to maximize every dollar. The finished product is exactly what I hoped for - I am already more productive and working in my new office is a pleasure!

When Alison told me she had met with 4 closet companies before she met with me, I asked why she went with me for the project vs. a large franchise or several well known closet companies and she expressed that I was the only one who showed up to the appt. fully prepared and who seemed to care. I had asked her for a floorplan of the new construction apt in Tribeca and was able to have a design before we met. We worked together with her husband to create their dream dressing room within a budget. I am glad that the passion I have for what I do is recognized by my clients. I truly love what I do! I was thrilled when Andrea Gary showed up at my doorstep to help design my closets. Having worked with her in the past, I was in the middle of renovating a 1929 Georgian Colonial (stressful enough) and was looking for someone to come in & help me. Andrea was the right person for this job. Andrea came in & worked her magic and just like that, 5 closets were built.
She helped to practically & functionally come up with designs that would suit my familiy's everyday lifestyle. Managing a household, running a small business from my home & juggling the lives of a 6 year old & 9 year old is no easy task. I must say that the closests Andrea designed for us, help to keep everyone's rooms in order (most of the time). Now that in itself is a tremendous help.
I would certainly highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to replace, build & organize new closet spaces! She is easy to work with, professional, practical & innovative.

I loved working with Rosemarie who is super organized. She was appreciative of any suggestions I made in terms of design, layout and is a lovely person to boot. We understood each other immediately as women running our own businesses and being devoted mothers. We were challenged with building around a steam unit for the master bath which was not installed at the time of design. We were able to leave an area free and still maximize her storage. When I returned to take photos I was so impressed with all her clever organizing ideas!

Comment from Andrea Gary/Queen of Kerfuffle™:
Yana's corner unit was a bit challenging because she had picture moldings on her walls which she did not want to remove. We were able to notch our shelves around the moldings and maintain the integrity of the pre-war building and it's moldings. We needed to provide closed storage and I wanted to design cabinetry that would suit other people's taste when she sells her apt. Shaker faces were the best choice because they are transitional. It was a pleasure doing business with Yana again after having designed her walk-in closet.

I LOVE LOVE my new closet!!! Andrea did an awesome job designing it. She went in detail thru all my needs and used all the space available to make the best out of the space I had. She spent several hours with me just going over the design, specifics and all the small details. She recomended where things should go, which made it much easier on me (since I'm not the greatest at imagining things). People who came to install it were very nice. They did a great job installing everything. Once they finished I couldn't wait to see it all come together, so I stayed up almost all night putt
