Smooth as silk, easy as pie experience with PJ Sullivan Exteriors. Not a huge job for them--replacing vinyl siding with Hardieplank on a not very large house, but I feel they gave us as much TLC as they would've a bigger client. Should also say that communication was very good.....suggestions were right-on....price was comparable to other estimates....and worksite always looked clean and neat. Hardie-ly recommend. Sorry....it's late.

We were fortunate to be able to work and collaborate with PJ Sullivan Exteriors on a recent project. The result of PJ's quality workmanship and attention to detail resulted in a unique project that was beautifully executed.

Peter and his team were a pleasure to work with during the remodel of our 1950’s Cape. Peter was knowledgeable, helpful, and honest when suggesting ways to maximize our space and get the most out of our budget. He stayed right on budget, and was responsive to our questions and concerns. When the unexpected change or fix came up, he provided everything in writing with no hidden surprises. Although the project took slightly longer than expected, the quality of the work was top notch and we are very pleased with the outcome. His subs are professional, responsive and stand behind their work, too.

We were so happy with the roofing, siding and pertego job PJ Sullivan did for us. We couldn't have asked for a better company to do this for us. Pete was very attentive and visited our home at least 3 times a week and that was important for us.

Pete who owns PJ Construction was a pleasure to work with. He transformed our white vinyl sided house into a more updated beautiful gray hardie board home. Pete accommodated my schedule and even started job early and completed job early in time for a large family party. That was much appreciated. Finished a quality job in the time he specified which was refreshing for the building business. No hidden costs! He gave me what I contracted for and more. Was always professional and house looks beautiful. Would recommend him and his company to anyone who asks.

Peter and his team were very helpful during the initial estimate and sale of the job. His ideas were fresh and I felt confident that the work would be done on time and on budget. Overall the quality of the job was good and the finished product looks great, but the process and communication left a sour taste in my mouth. Throughout the job it was hard to get questions answered and it felt like he was avoiding my calls. I was clearly a lower priority job for him and his team.No job is perfect, but the lack of communication and the utter avoidance of some of my questions is the reason I'm writing this review today. I felt that I was a bit duped on some of the fine print when a few more phone calls and a little extra cleanup work would have taken this review from 3 stars to 5 stars. Here are some of the things that disappointed me during the work. The job was signed in November and was told to take 3-4 weeks. In late February the job was finally "complete" I put complete in quotes because the front columns of my house were not painted nor was the front door and moulding. Peter claimed that there was no painting included in the job, but was not clear that the door needed to be stained, columns would be a yellow discoloration and the moulding primed only. He left the job unfinished and I had to hire a painter separately to finish the job. The subcontractors that were used did not give much care or attention to the work they were doing and caused 4 interior window frames to be destroyed and again I had to hire someone else to fix them as Peter said it was not part of the job. The subcontractors also did not properly fill holes made in my roofing and I had leaks in my daughters' rooms. He ordered different windows and installed them without telling me the difference and then had to paint them to match what was in the contract after much pestering. Siding had bubbles and a piece of trim fell off within two weeks of completion and it took another 4 weeks for Peter's team to come and fix it. Most of these problems are no big deal, but when it takes multiple phone calls and weeks to get calls returned or items cleaned up it is extremely frustrating. Simply better communication would have left me feeling great about the job. The positives were that he stayed on budget. He had some great ideas and did really care about the initial concept to make sure the finished product would look the best for our style of home. He spent time trying to match the existing roof color as best as possible.

The scope of our job entailed a new roof, James Hardie siding (cobble stone), a new stone chimney and front stoop (Old New England), copper chimney shroud, half round bronze aluminum gutters, new garage doors and lighting. The job took 2.5 months from start to finish and PJ Sullivan Construction was a great partner to work with. They were organized in the execution of each piece of the project and offered excellent aesthetic input for all of the design details. The trades people used for various aspects of the work were all professional, easy to work with and the area was always kept clean at the end of each work day. The final outcome was exactly what we had hoped for. Peter Sullivan is very easy to communicate with and made himself a real partner with a vested interest in a successful outcome.

Peter was very helpful with deciding what products we used and color schemes would look best for our project. I would definitely use Peter and his company again for any future projects.

As a professional engineer having 33 years of experience in the NYC construction industry I can be at times over critical when having work performed at home. Issues like scheduling work, attention to details and trying to get fair value for the work performed can be troublesome. Well, NOT with P J Sullivan. I was given an initial estimate and schedule and they meet both as promised. Their (and especially Peter and brother Dan Sullivan's) attention to details exceeded my expectations! They really do stride for perfection. Having our home renovated by Peter and co. was effortless. I can't say enough about how pleased my wife and I are with the work performed by PJS.

My husband and I wanted to renovate our Greek Revival home from the 1970's. We wanted to give it a facelift without changing every detail of the home. We wanted James Hardie siding, carriage style garage doors, double glass front doors, new gutters, dentil trim and shingles on our gable. We interviewed five contractors and PJ Sullivan was by far the most professional and could see the vision of our renovations. Pete and his entire crew were meticulous with every step of the project! From day one he provided clear details regarding all aspects of the renovations and kept to the completion deadline. His crew were professional and the workmanship was amazing! The crew cleaned up every day as if we never had any work done on the premises! All our family, friends and neighbors comment on how beautiful our renovations look! We would hire PJ Sullivan again without any hesitation and recommend them in a instant. It was a pleasure working with Pete and his crew. It made the project stress less and looked amazing in the end!

Peter and staff were completely professional. The job was done timely, they started when Peter said they would and did not leave until job was finished. Left everything neat and clean.
