Siding & Windows Group was great start to finish. Rocco was very helpful answering all our questions and helping us to make selections for siding (and soffit, facia, window framing etc.) which let us realize our vision. They were prepared for bumps in the road as well (weather) and kept in good contact throughout the process and actually listened to us when we had questions or momentary concerns they put us at ease with the information we sought. It's a big purchase, but they made us feel confident in our decision by their actions, and we LOVE how the siding looks, and what it's doing for us since the install (Alside Ascend vinyl). We went ahead and replaced soffit, facia and even had new gutters formed and installed - and not once did they pressure us for those additional items. Just a great experience and we're so glad we went with SWG. Thanks!

His approach was no nonsense, no pressure, and that is because they want to do place you within the right product categories and at the right budget. We started with just new James Hardie siding but decided to add a new front door and a new rear patio french door. Could not be happier with the design and color choices. There is a reason this company is top rated and has a long list of references which they provide so you can drive and see the work yourself. They provided us with a mixture of horizontal lap siding and vertical batten board pattern.

We removed old siding and stucco. Repaired part of the roof. Installed insulation, siding, gutters and 5 windows. This company surpassed all my expectations. The crew that came out completed the project quickly and efficiently. They did a great job of cleaning up at the end of each day. Upon completion I checked the entire house and every joint and seam is perfect. I walked the property figuring I would find a few stray pieces of siding or aluminum, but never found a speck. I would highly recommend this company to family, friends and anyone who wants a quality job on their house.

Siding & Windows Group did a fantastic job! They replaced our dark brown Tudor with bright Hardie Board to create the Craftsman style I envisioned. We also used them for all our windows, exterior doors, fascia, soffit, and gutters. They are extremely responsive and stuck to their timeline. They also use a very helpful rendering software to help you picture your design, which I loved. I would definitely recommend.

Siding & Windows Group made our house look fabulous! Shortly after moving into our house we discovered that we had to re-side the whole house due to thousands of micro-cracks in our ancient cedar siding. We considered many options, but finally, we decided to re-side with Hardy Board as we favored that aesthetic. For our project we actually worked with two different siding companies. Due to the unexpected nature (and unexpected cost) of our project we divided it into 2 years. For the first part of the project, we used a different company (NOT Siding & Windows Group) and had a very unsatisfactory experience--improper installation of materials and horrible customer service. I am happy to say that the second phase of our project by Siding & Windows Group went much smoother, and we're very happy with the end product.

Siding and Windows Group did an expert job at transforming our home from a cottage-like Craftsman to the Modern Farmhouse we envisioned. We asked alot of them and are very particular in our requests. From overhauling the exterior siding; to rebuilding the roof above our entry; to changing the traditional shingle roofing to metal roofing; or to removing unnecessary pillars and generally cleaning up the previous owner's style, they executed our plans flawlessly. The quality of their work is exceptional and they worked with us every step of the way to address any concerns we had or to gain our input on the best way to handle situations as they arose. Any complications were quickly addressed and their team was always very friendly and professional. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and will definitely be using them again!

Siding and Windows Group replaced our 46 year old siding with Hardie Board last Fall and we cannot be happier. One year in and we have not found any issues. We took nearly two years to search for a reliable company and Andy, Seweryn, and Marcin were the crew who spent three weeks to complete the job. I have dealt with Greg Bednarski and the Siding & Windows Group since 2000 when he sided/trimmed my 1890’s frame home and most recently this year when my large picture window and two kitchen windows were replaced. Siding and Windows Group replaced my 30 year old aluminum siding with insulated vinyl siding, plus, all windows were replaced. The siding looks great, though not the color I expected from a tiny swatch :-). Workmanship is excellent. The siding looks so different from my old siding - so much better. The details are amazing with outlet covers, vent covers, and even light fixture backings that match the siding. This company offers numerous window options from known manufacturers (Pella, Marvin, Andersen, etc...) and they take their time to ensure you get what you want. I can't tell you how many times Angelo came to my home to show me windows. I am extremely pleased with the work and I get compliments all the time.

Although we got off to a rough start, Neil and Greg came through in the end. It took about a year and a half from our first appointment to the completion, but that was due to a number of factors--including our budget. We have a 19th century Chicago worker's cottage that had been through many "renovations" throughout the years. Essentially, we had to undo a century of "remodeling" which included asbestos siding and replacing leaky vinyl construction grade windows in front. When we asked for historical trim, we got the style of what was uncovered underneath the layers of siding. Whenever there was an issue, they came through--maybe not the first time, but they listened and responded. Even though Neil was the design guy, he'd respond when we needed something during the construction. All of the materials were of high quality and negotiated within our budget. As homeowners know, relationships with contractors are a big deal, and once a good one is found, you don't want to let go! We're happy to say that we plan to work with Siding & Windows Group in the future. Originally I gave 4 stars, but I was reminded of the efforts of Franz who went out of his way to respond to my questions and concerns, even on the weekends!

We just finished a huge project on our 118 year-old home. Siding & Windows Group did the new Hardie siding, new windows, and new porch. It took a while to get the project off the ground, and there were a few hiccups, but in the end, Greg did everything he needed to do to make us happy. And we are very happy. The crews were professional and did quality work. A shout-out to Tom and to Patrick for their extra care and attention. We'd use these guys again.

I had the siding and windows installed in 2003. Many people have commented on how great the house looks over the years. Recently a piece of siding kept coming loose above the front windows. I contacted the company after it fell off a number of times. The sent out a repairman who did a wonderful job reinstalling the piece. The company stood behind their product even after all these years. I would highly recommend this company.

They were diligent on using the right crew for our Project scope and their crew cleaned up every day during installation We decided on James Hardie Siding in Aged Pewter and James Hardie Trim in Sandstone Beige, My Project Consultant really stood out to me based on his knowledge and we're very happy with our home.

They completed the tear off of all of the old siding and trim plus the installation of hardie board shake and siding on our 1920s Sears craftsman home in June 2017. We had them replicate the band board and drip cap details original to the home and install new gutters as well. They were on time every day, extremely friendly and courteous and above all well qualified to perform the job.

We have been very satisfied customers since 2008 when Siding & Windows Group installed our James Hardie siding. They additional replaced patio doors with beautiful French doors, created an overhang to protect the area right outside of the patio doors. Removed, designed and replaced concrete steps on our patio. We have been very satisfied with the workmanship and durability of the products. We have subsequently had a kitchen window (2010) and some guttering replaced (2014) by Siding & Windows Group as well. We were very satisfied with the whole process. From sales to installation, everything was handling professionally. We are now considering replacing our front entry door, not sure what style or color we'll choose, but we know already know who handle this next home improvement project for us - Siding & Windows Group

We have recently had our windows and siding done with The Siding Group and could not be happier! Greg guided us every step of the way. He helped us choose the right look for our house and pick appropriate products to help us maintain its style. We ended up using Integrity fiberglass windows by Marvin and James Hardie cement siding as well as Longboard aluminum siding for the feature walls. These products brought up the contemporary look of our house without overwhelming it. The work done was performed in a professional manner from beginning to the end with extreme attention to detail. Greg and the Siding Group performed beyond our expectations. We would recommend them without hesitation!

We had our 2 Story Colonial totally updated thanks to Sidings & Windows Group. They replaced all our windows and installed Hardie siding. I can't say enough good things about this company. Everything went so smoothly and they did an unbelievable job. We went from having a beat up looking house to having a gorgeous one. We have a two story house with siding on the second story. Siding and Windows Group did the siding and some of the windows - the ones that needed replacing and capped the rest. They did a phenomenal job. Everything from Sales to installation went smoothly. The sales rep did not stay at our house for 5-6 hours like many before him had. He was respectful and informative. We took about a week to think about the project after our initial meeting with him. During that week he was available for questions and was always pleasant to work with. After signing with them, our materials came in quicker than anticipated and the company was great about setting up convenient times to come and install. The installation crew was awesome. My wife and I purchase a 3 story home in Evanston. It had old aluminum siding with the original siding under that. Siding and Windows removed all the siding and meticulously rebuilt with the Hardie siding. Every mitered corner is perfect, which takes a high level of skill! They gave suggestions along the way and the finished product is excellent. Our neighbors are still stopping by to say how beautiful the house looks. We are very happy with the Siding & Windows Group team. We purchased a house in Lakeview (Chicago, IL) this summer. The siding was old, compromised, and needed a facelift. We contacted a number of siding vendors but only Bart Borowski from the Siding & Windows Group always returned our calls and replied to emails quickly, answered questions, provide alternatives to customize our home, referred us to various sites in the City where they were doing work, and worked with us on the pricing. Once the work on our house began, Yolanda stopped by almost daily to oversee the work/progress. The crew doing the work, from tear down and installation, were efficient, cleaned/organized the material and equipment at the end of each day, and kept us informed if they came across something unexpected and did all of the trouble-shooting. Greg checked in with us regularly about progress and trouble-shooting as well. Greg, Yolanda, and the crew were completely transparent throughout the entire process and went out of their way to assure that we remained and felt like a priority. The work was completed within the time frame we were given (about 4 weeks for a 2 story single family house including the garage. While the Siding & Windows Group may not have been the lowest quote, their rates did remain competitive, the quality of their product and work is excellent, and their customer service is exceptional. Our home was built in approximately 1913 and had virtually no insulation, rickety doors and plenty of drafty, noisy windows with triple track screen/storms that had totally lost their effectiveness. This was a complete tear-off of stucco and cedar shakes, replacement of rotten wood, then the addition of inch thick foam insulation board and Hardie wrap before installation of the new siding. From beginning to end, everyone we dealt with was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and extremely talented, from sales, to coordinating the different crews, to cleaning up each day. The carpenters who rebuilt the front porch were fantastic, as were the window installers and the siding installers. Beautiful crown molding was installed over most of the windows and doors - we could not be happier with the final results. They always asked the right questions each step of the way. The owner and the sales person were very helpful in terms of design, suggesting enhancements that really made a difference in the end result, as well as help in picking the color scheme. We would hire them again in a minute!

The siding that Siding and Windows Group installed on our house looks great! This was a big project and some complexity due to the sizes and the clearance to the houses next door. Hubert had great suggestions for the design, especially on the corners, which look great with the custom trim we done. We had a big list of past projects, to go see the colors and styles SWG had done in the past. After we got the terms agreed with Hubert, Greg and his team took over to get the job done. They were great - they did exactly what we agreed, on the timeframe we talked about, for the price we discussed. The workers were great - very hardworking, very professional and they really knew what they were doing. Honestly, this is one of my favorite home improvement projects that I've ever done - the final product is beautiful and it got done EXACTLY how SWG said it would. That shouldn't be that rare, but SWG stands out to me because of this.

Bart was friendly and informative during the negotiation process, with a personal touch we didn't get from other companies. They were very responsive and thus easy to work with, especially since we were continually out of town and had to keep rescheduling. The guys were professional and worked like a well-oiled machine - they actually completed the job in one day! And that's including the fact that two windows had to be installed and a surprise layer of siding under our exterior siding also had to be removed before the new Hardie Board was put up. They cleaned up the site very nicely at the end of the job. The only hiccup was that it took a week for the debris left over from the job to be picked up, but even so, all of it was neatly contained in a huge "bag" and it was at the end of our driveway so it wasn't like our yard was being killed or anything bad like that. I don't know whether they contract out this task to an outside vendor or whether they do it themselves so it could have been the vendor's fault. I know Greg kept asking them to get it done.

We could not be happier with our new siding! Great communication and guidance from the beginning of the process. The workmanship is superb - it's as if we have a whole new house. We cannot tell you how many neighbors have commented on the finished product as well. Amazing work!! The Siding and Windows Group was professional, with clear and frequent communication throughout the process. We could not have been happier with the look and quality of the windows and Hardie Board siding that were installed. I interviewed three Angie's List preferred companies and selected Windows and Siding Group, LTD specifically because of their extensive documented references as well as all of the homes that we were able to visit and see for ourselves. My dad was in the trades. He was a union carpenter specializing in trim carpentry mostly. As such I grew up with an appreciation for quality craftsmanship. This can have its repercussions however. When I purchased my home, a Craftsman-Style home built in 1903, I set out to restore it to its former glory. What I definitely did not want to do was renovate it. Yes, restoration is different. It respects the period architecture, and ensures timelessness. Because of my dad's work, I am an extremely difficult customer to work with because I demand excellence. Having said that, not once did I need to inject myself into the project other than for the occasional opinion as to what my preference might be. All minor stuff. The crew was always professional, courteous, and displayed a warm attitude. Their competence was nothing short of impressive. That is to say the least, very refreshing, as I have fired many a contractor half-way through a project. Many companies unfortunately work hastily, cutting corners, and slapping siding on as quickly as possible to maximize profit. Not these guys. Not only did they take their time paying attention to details, they came to work early and left after sundown. They worked tirelessly through temperatures in the low twenties. They cleaned up after themselves every day and worked around us always mindful of the homes inhabitants, including the dogs. With respect to the product, James HardiePlank Fiber Cement Siding, it is unmatched for its beauty and durability. But that's only half the story. You also need a quality installer to render the product worthy of its reputation. My home has many odd angles and nooks typical of a Craftsman home built at the turn of the century. If miters can be considered beautiful, theirs were breathtaking. If you desire old world craftsmanship at a very affordable, and very competitive price point, you have to consider this company. Their work should be featured in trade publications such as "This Old House" and similar industry journals. Its that good. Although, you guys were here only a few days, I will miss Wes pulling up in his red truck, smiling as always, greeting us with his European accented "Good Morning", eager to take on the days challenges. After having a general contractor walk off of my job owning me thousands of dollars of work, I was very leery of hiring another firm. Siding and Windows Group were able to assuage my fears. I had received bids from a number of companies, but only Siding and Windows Group were able to assure me of their knowledge of how to do the best work on my historical home. The workers were courteous and had amazing attention to detail. Often, the weather did not cooperate, but when they could be here, they were here all day. We were only able to afford part of the job now, but when we have the funds to complete the remainder, Siding and Windows Group will be the only siding contractor we will ever use. I have already recommended them to friends.

I honestly can not praise Siding & Windows Group and Greg Bednarski (the owner) enough. We did our due diligence and got quotes from multiple siding companies. We choose Siding & Windows Group because from the moment Bart came into our home with the estimate he answered all of our questions and he took his time explaining in detail about what they were going to do. He never pressured us to do more than what was needed. He was extremely knowledgable. From the time we signed the contract they kept in touch every step of the way and when the job began they were here to make sure we were satisfied. Greg stayed involved in the project... He's a great person and very focused on customer satisfaction... He would go beyond the scope of the project and do little things (like cover some flashings) to make our house look better. The crew was extremely polite, friendly, detail oriented and meticulous with every inch of our home. They took great pride in their work and cleaned up each day when they were done. At the end of the work, Greg came on site and we inspected the work together. Anything that was found by either of us he put on a list (there were only a few things) and he had his guys there the next day to complete the list. I'm delighted with the work the Siding Group did for us. I was looking for someone to install cement siding (e.g. Hardie Board) as well as cedar siding and shakes. I'd been impressed by the work they'd done on another house nearby. I got a bid from them as well as from two other contractors, and I went to look at houses all the contractors had worked on. In terms of the price, the bids were very close. What impressed me about the Siding Group, though, was Hubert's attention to detail in the process of assembling the bid. I'm picky and there were a lot of details (not all of them conventional) that I wanted to be just so. Hubert discussed them all at length with me and helped me to come up with the best materials / techniques to realize them. He even helped me to tweak things a couple of times after I'd signed the contract. Greg got involved in the project later, once the work started. As with Hubert, I felt strongly that he wanted to do all he could to make sure I was as happy as possible with the result. The same was true of the two guys, Jakob and Janusz, who did the actual work. They checked in with me about design details, were very pleasant to have around, and did a meticulous job. As I said, I'm delighted with how it turned out. I would--and am!--enthusiastically recommending them to anyone looking for a contractor to do siding or window work. (I'm waiting until the spring to have some exterior painting finished up, but will post before / after photos once that is done.)

My wife and I selected the Windows & Siding Group for their professionalism, knowledge and price; we were very pleased. We awarded W&SG a contract to restore the Victorian nature of our 1887 home after being covered with boring 1965 aluminum siding for 50 years. Of the two other bidders, one tried to sell us vinyl products at double the price and the other apparently found our job too creative for their "vanilla" type of work and didn't even bother to provide a quote. We found the right combination of knowledge, caring people, quality materials and price at W&SG. We highly recommend them for the custom exterior consumer.

First of all, I seldom rate any company or service at the highest level. In this case, the Siding Group certainly warrants the highest level of praise - they exceeded our expectations in every area. We had Hardie Board installed on our home and garage, plus several new windows were installed. The workmanship and attention to detail were outstanding. The quote was competitive, but now that the work is complete - I consider it a bargain. Our home looks brand new! The crew (Michael and Lester) was very professional and respectful of our home. There was no damage to our landscaping and they cleaned up at the end of each day (including sweeping the drive to ensure no nails remained). They do outstanding work. The management (Greg and Bart) answers calls directly or calls back within a very short time. They are fair and a pleasure to work with. In short, we received the type of experience that I always hope for but seldom receive. We are very happy that we chose to do business with the Siding Group and we recommend them to others without reservation.

We contracted with the Siding Group to re-side our contemporary T&G cedar sided house. The Siding Group are truly professional Hardie installers. After the siding replacement they did the house looks like new again. The employ skilled and caring installers and made the entire experience very satisfying. These guys are true professionals. From my first contact with Hubert until my final walk through with Greg I could not have been more imoressed. Siding & Windows Group did a major outside renovation for us. Hardiboard siding now covers our whole home and 29 drafty windows were replaced with Low E versions. I found the Siding & Windows Group after meeting with other contractors who installed HardieBoard products. The other contractors I met used HardiePlank siding, but not their other products, such as HardieTrim and HardieSoffit. In order to find a contractor that used all Hardie products, not just the siding, I called the James Hardie company. They gave me the contact information for the Siding and Windows Group. Our salesperson was not only professional, but also very knowledgeable. He educated us on the product. He had a list about 20 pages long of recommendations. The company had also replaced siding on several houses in our area, so I was able to see some of the company's work. The gentlemen who installed the product were friendly and educated my husband and me on the process. I do plan to replace some windows in my home, and I know who I will be calling!

I had the Siding Group quote me an estimate to remove some vinyl siding on my 3 dormers of my Cape-Cod style home which I had installed some 15 years earlier, they replaced it with James Hardie cement board, Bartek was very professional and knowledgable regarding colors, styles, as well as construction techniques which are unique to working with cement siding. The crew was hard-working and tidy. When "Mother Nature" caused some delays, it was communicated a day ahead (good customer service) Speaking of Mother Nature this years "Polar Vortex" was brutal on everybody and everything, but the Job on my Dormers looks as good as the day they installed it. -I was impressed with the little ATD (attention -to-Details) like the perfect bead of caulking at the corner boards. And the fact that they painted every exposed saw cut so it wouldn't be subjected to moisture. I would consider this a small job, but they treated the project as if it was in a more affluent community and did not bill as if it was. I'm an Aircraft Technician by trade, and adhere to certain principles pertaining to my craft, such as "By the Book" as well as strive for "Zero-Error" the attention to detail as well as the no shortcuts attitude of the crew on-site was similar to the way I like to conduct myself while working on multi-million dollar aircraft.- Siding & Windows Group did not disappoint and should be considered a "Thumbs-Up"

We had the Siding and Windows Group replace some of our front windows, as well as re-do all the siding on our house. They were professional and a pleasure to work with, from the time I requested the estimate to the end of the project. Their pricing was competitive. The Siding Group worked at my home removing the rotted siding and trim and replacing it with the James Hardie Artisan Siding and trim. They also removed and replaced the roof, and basement windows. The salesman, Humberto, did an excellent job of detailing our project. I needed several more samples of Hardy Board to decide on a color and he was right on it. The work that was done was superb and the men cleaned up each day and put up with our puppy running around them too! The project took a lot longer than we'd thought - but who expected snow all of December and the Polar Vortex for the winter of 2013-2014! Our house siding, new windows, trim and gutters looks excellent.

I hired Siding & Windows Group and they did an excellent job. They removed my old weeping mortar brick knee wall and vertical siding as well as my soffits and gutters and replaced with Khaki Brown Hardie board siding and Sail Cloth accents. The weather created some delays in the project but the work that was completed was done beautifully. They definitely know what they are doing.
