I recently purchased a custom wine cellar from Grandeur Cellars at the strong recommendation of a good friend of mine. I wanted a built-in look for an oddly shaped space - a challenging design. We hired Granduer Cellars/Cru Wine Furnishings when we purchased our home. We had them do a variety of projects that required precise customization, beautiful design and attention to detail. This team was very professional and a delight to work with. John Lutz, owner of Grandeur Cellars, built a wine cellar for me just to the specifications that I desired. The project was completed in October 2014, and the cellar has been performing excellent providing the storage that I wanted for my wine. The cellar is also a beautiful piece of furniture!! Recently, I had a problem with the glass in one of the cellar doors, and John sent one of his best installers (100 miles) to fix the problem. Not only did the installer fix the problem, but he enhanced the glass retention on the doors so well that I am sure that it will definitely improve the performance of the overall cellar. We worked with John Lutz at Grandeur Cellars / Cru Wine Furnishings about four years ago and are thoroughly delighted with the results. John came to our house and evaluated the space we had for a wine cellar, our desired bottle capacity, and design preferences. From that he came up with some design drawings. We reviewed them together, and came up with what we all thought was a fantastic design. One of the features we wanted was sideways display of wine bottles in front, but also easy access to the storage behind. John found just the right design and hardware to create sliding racks that run just inside two of the three doors, giving us the look and easy access we wanted. Our cellar has been running great for four years, and we could not be happier with it.

I worked directly with John Lutz who was very helpful throughout the entire design process. John provided us with an estimate and detailed drawings for a custom wine cabinet for a Senior Living facility. They were very accommodating; helping us achieve our vision of a dual sided cabinet when others could not. John has also been very thorough in following up with us. Although the wine cabinet design has not been built yet, we have great confidence that this will turn out to be a wonderful eye-catching focal point of the space.

We had a number of curve balls thrown at this job including the wine room flooding right after the wine racks went in. It screwed up our schedule and prolonged the job, but the Grandeur folks were there right away and able to remove the racks and get them to an environment in our house where we could properly dry and rescue them. The team rolled with the punches and efficiently completed the job to everyone's satisfaction. There was a little touch up required when finished and they took care of all our minor issues. They are in high demand and occasionally get spread a little thin, especially when they have to co-ordinate with insulation and the HVAC companies that are also jammed up. But as long as you can live with a few scheduling bumps along the way, you will be very pleased with the final product as we have been.

I ordered a custom wine credenza some months ago and I couldn't be happier. John and him team worked through multiple designs to ensure I ended up with exactly what I wanted. They delivered on time/on budget. There was an issue with one of the door seals and they came out immediately to fix. Great after delivery service.

I was looking for a custom-built cabinet to fit a space that was occupied by built-in bookshelves in our study. My wife came across John Lutz' Grandeur Cellars website. I contacted John, who was most responsive. He installed our cabinet, built to our design specifications, in a few short weeks. He and his staff have been extremely professional and responsive. Since then, John has built and installed cabinets for three of our friends. They do a great job and are a pleasure to work with!

John and his crew did a great job on my built in wine cabinet. The quality is excellent and holds over 400 bottles of wine. John was easy to work with and I would use him again.

We contacted Cru because wanted to convert a large closet space in our hallway into a wine cabinet. We found out that we couldn't afford to condition the whole room, but John came up with a great 140+ bottle solution that is large enough for our needs and can be removed and taken with us if we choose, when we sell our house in the future. The wine cabinet turned out to be a very high-quality addition to our home. It is absolutely beautiful! And, it gave us a nice bump in our home appraisal value!

We just completed a kitchen remodel and originally looked at a basic wine cooler and racking, until I found Cru! John designed a conditioned wine island cabinet that not only has a higher bottle count than I was expecting but is the focal point of my kitchen! Love it!!

Custom built in wine cabinet done in Alder to match existing cabinets. 248 bottle capacity. All racks were made custom from unstained alder and will hold any peculiar 750ml bottle that we have, including all the Pinot's. I had them do a slide out rack in the bottom to have options for large format bottles and cases. The CellarPro works perfectly and is very efficient. It's quiet and doesn't run all the time. This was an expensive cabinet, but for the storage space, much less costly than a small wine room. They did a beautiful job. A couple of small things were not perfect initially and they came back out and fixed it to our satisfaction without hesitation. John was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. Their workers are very courteous and professional. I would highly recommend this company.

We hired John Lutz after reviewing several companies in Houston - no one gave us the confidence in their ability to execute a beautifully made and well functioning wine cellar like him. And we were not disappointed...the process, from design to installation, was smooth, stress free and on time/budget. He and his team also sought creative solutions to our concerns and questions - which was very much appreciated... Cru Wine built us a custom wife cabinet for our dining room. It is fantastic. They designed something specifically to our needs and space. Later we had them make a custom headboard for our mater bedroom.
