I haven't seen the oak finish, but our local Expo (also a Home Depot company) had some of the homedecorators vanities in their retail section towards the end.

The white/ivory finishes were pretty bad for the fancier styles, but the wood finishes were mostly tolerable although not always really plausible, more like the kind of stuff my mom used to do many years ago with the antiquing kits they used to sell. Drawers don't have glides (just the wooden box that pulls out, resting on the frame itself), but they seemed to work okay. Not sure how they'd be after ten years in a steamy bathroom.

For that price, I don't think you can go too far wrong. On the whole I would say they were about the same quality as the small vanities you can see in places like Kirklands.

The reviews say they work smoothly despite that, for whatever they're worth.

(And I myself am considering the larger version of this one, so I'd like to hear from anyone who's ordered from them, too.)

Not junk, but not fantastic either. We bought two glass door bookcases from them for storage in our bathroom. They are not solid wood and are a little wobbly, but look nice and do the job. I would have preferred solid wood, but for the space (48" wide and depth of no more than 14"), these were the only cabinets that would fit - unless we went with custom build. We got a better price on shipping ordering from Amazon, but if you sign up with Home Decorator's for their email specials, they often send free shipping coupon codes.
