How long does it take Metacam (meloxicam) to work?

Wolfy, my arthritic Husky-Shepherd was recently switched from Previcox to the generic form of Metacam (meloxicam). Before starting the meloxicam he was given a cortisone shot and we stopped the Previcox for 12 days to get the Previcox out of his system. Today was his first day on meloxicam.

It was bad day insofar as his hips go. I remember it took a few days for the Previcox to take effect; is this true of meloxicam, too? Wolfy is also on Tramadol for pain, but I hope the meloxicam kicks in sooner rather than later. About how long will this take?

I found this on a website: Maximum effect is seen approximately 8 hours after administration. When beginning a trial course of meloxicam, a response may take 3 or 4 days to show. If no response has been seen in 10 days, meloxicam has failed and a different pain medication should be tried. If one NSAID fails, another may well work.

I hope he gets relief soon.

I think the painting would look okay but I don't think it is big enough...What is the width of the console under it. The painting should be the width of that or a tiny bit less. Rectangle is the way you want to go, definitely not a square in my opinion...a longer horizontal rectangle is more elegant.What is your budget for the painting? The art can make or break your space.

Submitted a negative review on contractor who did not do the job they were paid to do and has absconded with almost 21k... when we fired them we had to call police and it went from a verbal to a written no trespass warning. Still not up and they are still showing quite positive on the site and probably going to get more victims. We are in process of criminal and civil suits as well as contacting AG about their business license.

Pull the baseboard/shoe in the affected areas to accommodate the flooring and paint work. Plumbing work would be done immediately after new countertops / in conjunction with that trade. Paint. Door knobs and switches. Flooring last. (well... your toilets would technically be last because the plumber has to set the correct height of flange, but that shouldn't be done until the floors are set and the thickness is known). We got the record: 8 Months to approve 38 Products! We uploaded them on August 25th, 2021 and they were approved today April 14th, 2022! They were planters, a great selling item in Summer/Fall so we lost last year season and now most of those items are no longer available... We have been selling on Houzz for long time and frankly at Houzz they improved many things since the inception like ability to communicate with the customer (saving many orders for us) and lately the ability of splitting the order BUT we are greatly discouraged in uploading new products because the extremely (and unreasonable I shall say) approval time! We cannot figure out the reason of this delays and we assume it would be something pretty easy to do, even if working from home... :) Let's hope for the best!

Thanks for the information and support. I'm happy to report I've been seeing signs of improvement. Hope to see even more over the next day or so.

Our Brittany was on Metacam for several years. Within a week she was like a little puppy again - running, jumping, so playful. It lasted for about two years then slowly as she got older it had little affect on her. But she lived to be 14 and I'd say all but the last 2 were quality years.

one of my border collies had both ligaments repaired in her hind legs,it worked fine.now about 3-4 years later she has arthritus in one.I put her on Metacam and it was like a miracle,one evening she was almost dragging herself along,next morning she was like two year old and she's 11 this year.
