I grew up in HUGE Homes, smallest was 10,000 sq ft. When my Husband and I were relocated after a promotion, the company had found us a home. We arrived at a 6,600 sq ft home for 2 people and 5 mini Dachshunds. I was not amused !

I tried to like the Beautiful Mediterranean Home, however, I just felt lost. My Master was wonderful, I spent a lot of time in there. I will always HAVE to have a nice Master, with French Doors to go outdoors.

I finally told my Husband, I wanted out ! It was Christmas and we came to visit my Mother-in-Law. She suggested, we look around her area, which was in the middle of nowhere. We drove around the Country and I saw a lake. When we arrived, I KNEW this was my Home, a Teeny Fairytale Town, Huge Lake, Strictly colorful cottages, many Artists. Here I am 21 years later, I ADORE my 1920;s small Cottage. Having a Home that is 15,000 sq ft for 2 people and 2 Labs like my brother has, is ABSURD !

I have a great 1929 680 sq ft brick house in Seattle. Much of it is original. Coved ceilings, fireplace, white oak hardwood floors, leaded glass windows. I love small homes. So cozy.

I grew up in small homes. When I was in grade school my family lived in a two bedroom home so 6 sisters shared a bedroom! We spent most of our time outside so we had all the room in the world! I can tell you that 50 years later my sisters and I are still very close to each other because we know how to share and how to get along. If we each had had our own rooms we would not be that close.
