As the home owner, when I began the demo for our master bath I was too excited to consider taking before and after photos with proper lighting and from the same angle. These two pics are as close as I could find. The door you see in the photos leads to the walk-in closet. The bathroom is 11'3" x 8'4". The door from the bedroom swung in to the right against a linen closet door. Next to that was the toilet separating the closet from the fiberglass tub/shower surround. Opposite were two vanities, each with 48" x 45" unframed mirrors separated by the walk-in closet door. The 2nd floor already had another ½ bath plus full bath with a tub surround to accommodate the 3 bedrooms on that level. So we decided to eliminate the tub surround on the 1st floor and install a step-less shower with some glass panels. Now, when entering the bathroom the walk-in shower is where the linen closet was and the toilet still separates the linen CABINET from the shower. The vanities, countertops, and commode, were sold and the mirrors were cut down and installed in custom frames 25" w x 31" h. To provide additional storage space I built and framed a box, accessible from the commode side, under the shower seat. It now holds a supply of 24 rolls of toilet paper in what would have been wasted space. We then installed a barn-type door between the master bedroom and bath.
