I put our TV in our natural wood colored bookcase. I know it's there but our guests rarely notice it. (When our child started Waldorf school a few years ago, we went to "no screens." Now that he watches no TV I've been fascinated to see how much it was effecting play." And I'm amazed how there is no longer time for it in our lives, but I do occasionally miss it.)

Maybe not so much gas or electric fireplaces, but I simply cannot imagine what people are thinking to mount delicate electronics immediately above the heat generated by a wood fireplace. Is it just me who thinks of such things? I cannot get the picture of warped and melted plastic out of my head.

I placed mine on a painted console table, then covered it with a light square, fringed, tiger print I bought in Africa. It is against a light oak paneled wall with an Icart print above it. Fits in beautifully in my Karen Blixen themed parlor/library.
