Replacing dated bathroom mirrors is a pretty easy thing to do. Pick them up cheap at most home stores. Pick those with frames that are neutral and go nicely with the bathroom decor. If you have a long counter use two. This makes a big difference to buyers. If you have a shower curtain, replace it with something very neutral like white. They are very cheap. Changing hardware on kitchen cabinets and bathrooms can also make a world of difference and is inexpensive. Suggestion was made in the article to not paint the trim but just walls. I say if the trim is in need of paint it should by all means be painted. It is the one thing I notice when looking at homes. Painting trim and wood work is very time consuming and damaged trim makes the walls look bad as well. Sometimes touch ups are the thing... Go to Lowes and match existing color and then paint just the needed areas, very quick fix. Same goes for walls. Sometimes the color is fine but maybe one wall is damaged. Just do that wall with matched paint. The most important thing I find is clean, clean, clean. Make sure the house is very clean top to bottom. If buyers cannot afford to do all the remodeling they would like at first, they will feel comfortable living in the home until they can get to it if it feels clean enough to live in for now. Also make sure all the fixits are done. If not buyers will want to negotiate the price down. If you have worn out carpeting and there are wood floors underneath, remove the carpeting. Buyers want to see wood floors.

Agree with Kristie. I have severe allergies and it really makes me ill when there's too much going on with candles. Vanilla is about the only quieter scent (and I would not do a candle), I can handle. Some scents are stronger than others, also
