I chose slate finish appliances about two years ago. They look like the finish it photo 17. Perfect decision for me. I love the matte finish and the only finger prints I’m constantly wiping are the ones on the stainless finish handles.

Is it a bad design to have in a galley kitchen one countertop quarts and the other butcher block?
I am also having a island installed where my table in my breakfast nook use to be . In a old traditional home. The island will also have quarts. The side of the kitchen with the butcher block will be the feature wall no upper cabinets just tile from cabinet to ceiling. The other side of the galley kitchen you cant really see unless you ate in the kitchen.
Please advise
Thanks

@Lisa S.....if you post your question in the "Design Dilemma" section on Houzz you are more likely to receive specific design suggestions from both Houzzers and Pros on this site. And if you can also post pictures of your present kitchen, that would help in generating pertinent ideas. People on Houzz are generous with helpful advice in situations like this. Good luck!
