What are the dimensions of this garage?

This garage is 21'-6" x 26'-0". It is a story and a half, finishing out at 21' at the ridge. Hope that helps!

  • prairiemoon2 z6 MA

Yes, it does, and thanks very much for such a quick response… :-)

    Nicely done!

Is there living space on the second floor and photos?

There is enough space for rooms upstairs. For a bathroom, I would advocate for adding a dormer to avoid chopping up the space too much.

love railings on deck foreground of picture. who manufactures?

- railings on deck , who manufactures?

These railings were reproductions of the original 1890's baluster pattern. The proportion needed to be adjusted (elongated) in order to meet code. Since they were custom fabricated by the builder, unfortunately, they aren't readily available. They really are an integral part of the charm exuded by this home. Thanks for your interest and inquiry!

Thank you for your question. Our renovation of
this existing structure became a customized design to accommodate the client’s
special requests and unique needs – from foundation to roof. For example, this
garage includes all utilities, very graceful custom doors, a custom structural
design that eliminated central columns in the garage and a spacious opportunity for a family room
on the second floor. Because this renovation was part of a larger project on
this Rhode Island property, no exact cost data exists for the garage alone.
However, a reasonable estimate for such a charming, livable garage would be
between $50,000 and $60,000. Architectural services for projects like this one
are key because they provide not only detailed designs and specifications, but
they also help clients imagine and explore the most advantageous opportunities
to create buildings that will serve them a lifetime.
