Did you find out the trim color?

  • Lisa

@jamiekcooper6 - I did not find out the trim color. We used Benjamin Moore - Gray Mist for our house trim with the BM Copley Gray for the body color. Love the Copley Gray color. Good luck on your project.

or are they 3 seperate windows?

    Siena Custom Builders, Inc.
Yes, all three windows open and they are three separate units. You should be able to get help measuring from your local sales rep or the installer you will be using.

While part of the top roof looks golden in the picture - that is only the lighting with the sun in the photograph. The actual roof looks like the color over the garage which is the Driftwood color.
  • kbarry12

Looking for a paint color to go with a similar colored roof. Are these shingles in a gray color?

The siding and shake we used on this home is real cedar siding - not a fiber cement siding product.

  • Vivian Breier

Ok. Thank you!! Do you know of a fiber similar to this color. I am actually looking to replace my Cedar Shakes, but not with Cedar Shakes again. My current ones are dark and old and have been ruined by wood bees and wood peckers. I live in NY or I would contact you, but if you do recommend someone on Long Island. I greatly appreciate any recommendations.

Sorry about that, White Birch is not a Benjamin Moore match but it is an actual exterior stain from Olympic. Also - remember to get color samples made - the Benjamin Moore color match looks different when it is a stain on wood rather than a paint on drywall.

Are these windows mulled together on the front porch, or how much room is between them for trim?

This was a custom door ordered through our trim supplier who supplies most of our interior trim and doors - Duane Stransky, Exclusive Windows. Inc. 630-802-0115. Yes, the glass is beveled.

I am absolutely in love with this house!!! Do you have more angles of the front porch??

The cedar trim was White Birch, an Olympic stain.
  • jcolquitt
What was the white trim color that you used…on garage, columns, etc..

The homeowner selected a match to Benjamin Moore Copley Gray on the cedar siding and shake.
  • honeysugar
Can you tell me the color/brand used for the trim. It is beautiful with the Copley Gray.

This is a three story house with a two car garage in front and a separate third car along the side that is not visible in this picture. The home is approx. 4,000 sq. ft. not including the third floor. The property is approx. 80' x 147' but every neighborhood has different setback restrictions so it is important to check that out first.

We built this home several years ago - the cedar shakes were straight butt 5" reveal, no keyway.

This is a dark stain on the door - our painter mixed it on sight to the shade that our homeowner preferred.

The width of the front part of this home was 55' but there is a angled third garage around the side that you can't see in this picture that extends the total home width another 8' or so.

This house is all cedar - both the siding and the shake. We don't work with much vinyl so I am not sure what vinyl color would be similar? I would ask your builder or installer to give you samples based on the color in this picture.

Cedar sidingObstaclesMake sure you check with your homeowners association, if you have one, to make sure it doesn’t prohibit certain materials and colors. Insurance and payment plans. If your home is insured to cover damage from storms or accidents, you may get money to cover the cost of siding repair. But insurance companies will likely only cover the cost to the damaged portion of the home, not the entire siding, so be prepared to foot the extra bill to re-side your whole house or live with a somewhat mismatched area of your house. Heller suggests clients get insurance money first before starting the project to prevent any holdups. Budget. Many contractors offer 12- or 24-month payments for siding so you don’t have to pay everything upfront.
