    Hi Kiwitwist03, I'm sorry, but I don't see any R or UV value in drapery, Not for the price point anyway - especially on this large of a window. With drapery, you will always have some of the window pane showing, unless you go fully operable. You must line them, and they need hardware, and to make a statement your paying premium for a great fabric - you end up spending a LOT of money with custom drapery. Elegant -but very pricey. An alternate would be HunterDouglas Silhouettes - they fit right into the inside of your window frame, can come motorized if needed, you can even have these in your arches. Lower price point would be single honeycomb Duettes, excellent R and UV value - you will see the difference in your heating and air conditioning billing. www.hunterdouglas.com I would have an estimate done for both options, see which way you prefer to go -
