The dresser is a dresser and will grow with our little girl once she is past diapers and onwards to makeup / books / maps. The wood has an aged white finish and will carry the wear and tear of growing up beautifully.

The crib is Olivia by Baby Mod. A basic navy crib skirt done in the same fabric as the daybed is a subtle but completes the look. Modern white tree decals frame the wall behind the crib. Custom birds were sewn with a free pattern found online, and we used all kinds of orange and navy fabric samples we had collected in planning the space to make their little bodies. This nursery was part of a larger remodel of an attic space which included the hall, master bedroom and bathroom. Light-filled on even the most overcast days, this Portland residence is bright and airy with balance of natural materials playing off a white backdrop. Custom storage has been added throughout the addition tucked into the sloping eave spaces. Room for stacking and multiple drawer depths make storage very versatile. The corner bookshelf is great for toys, books or for a cup of coffee on one of those early mornings. The glass inset door allows borrowed light to spill into the hallway.
