This is a fabulous table! Can it be purchased or is it an antique? Any information would be greatly appreciated.Sincerely

Thanks Toni...this is an antique that belonged to the client. Beautiful piece.

Your family room reminds me of the family room in my last home. I was never happy with all of the dark wood and was really itching to paint the paneling, but I lost that battle.
I suggest a long sofa on the South 18' wall positioned on the 12' of blank wall with a round table and lamp in the corner. Two large club chairs on the east wall centered under the 9' window with a table and lamp between them. A square cocktail ottoman or table would fill out the middle of this grouping. In the corner where the south and west wall meet you could position a comfy leather chair and ottoman with a table and lamp for reading (you won't be able to see the TV from this chair). Put the tv where the existing hook ups are. I think you will need drapes on the windows to soften the wood on the walls, an art arrangement over the sofa, a mirror over the fireplace, and a 10 x 14 area rug.

Glad you love the room, yes it is an antique table. You might try looking for an oval library pedestal table. Good luck with the room.

Get the light right. Nothing sets off seasonal affective disorder (SAD) like bad lighting. When it's dark out, you'll want nice, soft light from table lamps, floor lamps and reading lights.

Red and brown. If you've got a predominantly neutral palette that falls into the brown family at home, and you're ready to spruce it up but aren't sure where to start, consider following Tribune Standard's lead by bringing in a healthy dose of red. The look will remain neutral but will feel fresh and subtly colorful.

This gallery wall displays a mix of several different frames, with one red frame in the center. The red adds an element of surprise to the arrangement.

        6. Create a showstopping wall. Pull a wall together using all the lonely framed art and photos you have around the house. The frames do not have to match. Hang them close together. Recently I added three more framed photos to two that were already hung on a wall. It filled out the wall nicely and I love it. To figure out how I am going to hang my art, I like to lay the pieces out on the floor in front of the wall, create my design (use a tape measurer to make sure the length and height work with the wall), then snap a photo to use as my guide for hanging them.

While decluttering, gather all the art, photos, etc. that are important, frame them and create a gallery wall to save space. Like this one because it includes add’l decor - lighting, seating, books, arrangement...

maybe we pick a color "theme" and do a few frames that color, a flower, plant etc...
