Washington Street RemodelTraditional Bathroom, San Francisco

This Pacific Heights home required dramatic structural improvements before the final architectural vision could be fully realized. The project included the transformation of an unfinished Basement into a climate-controlled Wine Room, finished Mechanical Room, unique Man's Den, Au-pair Suite, and Laundry Room with tiled Dog Shower. The Main Floor was entirely altered. Both the front and rear yards were completely landscaped and a new wrap-around hardwood deck augmented the southern wing. Solar panels were added to the roof and the exterior was completely refinished.

    Chicago Faucets
One of the great features of Chicago Faucets is that all spouts, outlets, cartridges and handles are interchangeable and easily updated with other Chicago Faucets components. This allows you to customize your faucet to fit your needs. A popular choice for pairing with the Kohler Brockway Sink is a Chicago Faucets 225 Series manual sink faucet. The recommended way to buy the complete faucet (with arms) is to ask for model 225-261ABCP. Another option is to build your own faucet and customize your faucet arms. How hight did you mount your sink? I'm planning on 34 for the lip of the sink but worried that won't work with these higher faucets...

Hi, I've painted the under side of an iron claw foot bathtub. Used a good quality high adhesion primer then regular paint. Held up for the 2 yrs I lived in the apartment!
  • Kimberley Goione
I have this sink and the underside is black. It came that way. I do love the lime green. What paint was used here?

Wow, those faucets look amazing. The white handles are a nice touch. I also love how they are paired with that claw foot tub sink. Do you know what this type of faucet is called? https://firanzabathroomcollections.com.au/product-category/tapware-mixers/

Sorry. I don't. I'm not sure what I am supposed to be looking at in the link that you provided. Most fixtures made elsewhere are not labeled for sale in the USA. I am not sure about the brand that you linked to. In any case, you want to make sure you are buying fixtures that you can get parts for. A lot of the fixtures on the internet can prove difficult when it's time for parts and everything needs service at some point since we are running imperfect water through them.

Did you put different handles on that T&S faucet?

How did you change the color of the apron on the sink?
  • PRO
That sink has no apron. That is the rough cast iron underside of the sink. You can simply wire brush in most cases and paint. I use Rustoleum.

The Kohler Brockway is a beautiful but not an economical solution.
You can find the mounting instructions here (you might need to reinforce your wall):

How about building out a false wall a bit and you could include a shelf on top as well. Your mirror(s) then go just above the wall, which would also serve as your backsplash. So sorry for the "late" reply, but I only now just saw your comment.

The tiles you see are typically 3" high, which would put the bottom of the mirrors at roughly 45-46" from the floor. This is not one of our pictures but I hope it helps!

Hi Kimberley- I am in the process of building a house on Cape Cod and am pretty sure I want to go with this sink for upstairs kids bath. Can you tell me, how high did you end up hanging your sink- did you get that resolved? Also, did you purchase a "adjustable pedestal (which seems to cost more on the spec sheet than the actual sink??) I don't understand if that is an option or mandatory accessory. Any help you may have I would so appreciate! Finally did you paint your sink on your own?

This was actually a custom made faucet made from a modified commercial slop sink faucet. We had to make a new spout and then have it all re-chromed. The plumber handled this www.sweeneyplumbing.com ask for Keith.

    Good luck.

The builder reports that these were custom made, read above. Kohler makes a faucet called the Cannok for this sink.

I was unable to find it on Kohler's Australian site, but it would be worth contacting them and asking if they carry the Brockway Sink:

Jennifer Ott Design added this to 7 Unexpected Color Splashes for Bathroom SinksDec 29, 2013

Here’s a fun bold yellow-green that would work well in a bathroom for kids or teens. This fresh and vibrant color looks fantastic with watery blue hues as well as crisp white. For a similar hue, try Hep Green SW6704 from Sherwin-Williams.

Rachel Grace added this to Small-Bathroom Secret: Free Up Space With a Wall-Mounted SinkApr 18, 2012

Not to be taken too seriously, wall-mounted sinks work wonderfully in kids' quarters.

Becky Harris added this to Fresh Idea: Accent Color Brightens Up the SinkFeb 9, 2012

A fun bit of color is especially appropriate for a kids' bathroom; little ones appreciate the color from below or even at eye level. "If my memory serves me correctly, the inspiration for the sink came from the client who had seen something similar in a magazine," says Brad Hayes, the principal contractor on this project. "We powder coated the base green to make it more visually pleasing."
